His daughter had one simple, heartfelt request: to fill the room with beautiful, abundant flowers to honor her dad. I reached out to Sponseller's on Friday, June 13, explaining a heartbreaking situation and the urgency--we had just three days until the memorial service on Monday. I informed Rick that my nonprofit, Making Everything Good, would be fundraising to help make the daughter's wish come true. Without hesitation, Rick said he was up for the mission. I initially approved $1,000 in flowers, but as the fundraiser quickly grew over the weekend, we stayed in close contact and ultimately increased the order to $2,500 worth of floral arrangements. Not once did Rick or his team hesitate. They poured heart and talent into creating stunning floral masterpieces, all delivered to the church ahead of the service. Their compassion, flexibility, and craftsmanship helped turn a grieving daughter's wish into a beautiful reality.

The bride wanted a natural look that incorporated a blue cornflower ribbon motif that was her theme. The arrangements exceeded our expectations! Stephanie was a joy to work with as we planned for the event. She created lovely centerpieces, beautiful bouquets for the bride and bridal party, gorgeous arrangements for the church and a beautifully created halo and basket of roses for the flower girl. I would highly recommend Stephanie at Sponsellers for anyone looking for arrangements for their next special day. Thank you, Stephanie!!

I did not order any flowers to decorate the church or the reception. I was extremely disappointed!!! The bouquets were VERY small and some of the flowers had not even bloomed yet. My bride's bouquet had a ribbon wrapping that broke before the ceremony after I started holding it for pre-wedding pictures. I had to quickly wrap it and hold it tightly for the flowers to hold. I had asked for a full round bouquet of roses and calla-lillies. Instead my bouquet looked like I was literally holding some long-stem roses as the stems seemed as though they weren't even trimmed. Not to mention the fact that there were less than a dozen roses in the bouquet and it looked like it would be the size of a small bridesmaid bouquet. The bride's bouquet was $100, pretty crazy considering I could have picked up a dozen roses at the local grocery store for $15. The bridesmaid bouquets ($50/each) looked like they should have been for a flowergirl they were so small. The groomsmens' boutineers were calla lillies and seemed to be all different sizes. I loved almost every part of my wedding day, but if I could go back and change one thing, I would hire a different florist.

Beautiful gardens, the two same friendly dogs still in residence, lots of herbs & native plants for sale, & informed owners more than willing to share their knowledge. Came away with a lovely native aster & a culinary sage this time. Last year's purchased native aster morphed from a one-footer when planted last fall into a 3-foot tall x 4-foot spread gorgeous cloud of tiny lavender blossoms a couple of weeks ago (& still going strong!), so am looking forward to planting another slightly different variety next to it for an additional show next fall. And the six different columbines I purchased last year also put on a glorious show this past spring, & their reseeded seedlings are popping up everywhere, which I love to see. All in all, a lovely little spot to pick up nice native or culturally-positive-to-the-area plants, as well as enthusiasm from the owners.
