My mother, who is Korean, recently bought furniture from these crooks. They charged a 3% service fee for a debit card (illegal as of 11/1/2019 due to HB1425) and did not deliver all the product she ordered. She asked multiple times if the mattress set was included in the queen bed set and the salesman said yes, repeatedly. However upon delivery first they did not deliver the headboard, and had to deliver that a different date stating it wasn't included in the order, then they refuse to give the mattress set also stating it wasn't included. They scratched the furniture during delivery also. When I left a google review the owner basically brushed it off knowing a reply wasn't possible there and stated that she needs to come in with receipt. She had, a credit consumer complaint has been filed against this company for its fraudulent practices. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Bought furniture from here and they brought the wrong color couch and lazily put my bed together to where my headboard was loose. Tried to tell me that I ordered that color couch even though I went in with a picture of the one I wanted which was gray. Also two of the drawers to my chest were damaged during the delivery. They told me that they would order the right color couch, a footer for the bed, and 2 new drawers for the chest. Never once did the sales person Ron try to keep in contact and when he did respond his information was never correct to where he said he would deliver but didn't. Terrible business practices with this furniture store. I purchased a 5 piece set that was not delivered on time and only had 3 items that are working, they damaged my headboard during setup "claimed to replace it, they never did" I decided to get it repaired myself. The 5th piece of furniture was placed on "order" for redelivery, haven't heard anything, but I don't care anymore. Long story short, this store has been nothing but failure to remain accountable through out the entire transaction from purchase to completion. Wolverton All of the reviews are absolutely true! I wish I would have looked at them before ordering with them. If what you need is in store they're ok with getting it to you but if you order from them they are HORRIBLE! I placed an order on October 30th and was told the furniture would be delivered to me November 5th, when I called them on November 5th to see what time they would be arriving I received no answer or call back (I called 5+ times). Since they weren't answering I went up to the store and the owner Ron said give him until tomorrow because the shipment didn't come in and it'll arrive the next day. On that day I had to call to see if it was there and when was I going to get it, once again no answer after numerous calls. So I went to the store and he said give him until that Tuesday which was November 10th, I was polite and agreed. I call them on Tuesday November 10th and when I finally got an answer the receptionist said my order wasn't in and to wait another week, at that point I said I would like a refund and she said they don't do refunds. Which I understand if that's your policy but an exception should be made when you are not giving me the product I've paid for and your customer service is poor. I spoke with Ron and he promised I'd have my furniture Saturday November 14th. So today is November 14th and still no furniture! I can't even get anyone on the phone so I'm about to go up there and if I don't get it today I'm going to request my money back AGAIN. Update, I went to the store and they closed 2 hours early and didn't even call me to let me know they were closing early and that I wasn't getting my furniture once again....DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS! Ordered furniture from Wolvertons furniture store in Lawton Oklahoma on 17 Feb 2018. Ron Wolverton the owner assured us that our furniture would be delivered on 9 Mar which was the day we were to close on our new home. We waited 'til 8 Mar to call Ron to verify the delivery date for 9 Mar. Ron told my wife and I that we have to wait until 19 Mar for us to get our furniture. The reason why we ordered the furniture 3 weeks in advance is we wanted to make sure it will arrive on time of our closing date. So we waited an additional 10 days. On 19 Mar we had to call him because he definitely has a problem with contacting you about your furniture. He finally answered his phone at around 1600hrs and said our furniture is here and will deliver it around 1730hrs. Well, they delivered some furniture but it definitely wasn't what we ordered. We spent over $5,000 on real 100% leather furniture and they delivered this cheap shiny fake leather furniture that was no where near what we ordered. So after we had to prove that we got the wrong furniture he said our correct order will be there on 2 Apr. Well, that didn't happen either. We finally got the correct sofa, love seat and chair on 10 Apr but no ottoman. Ron said that we will get the ottoman on 19 Apr. I'm writing this review on 24 Apr 2018 and we still haven't received the ottoman. Ron also said that we would get 10% off on our order for our inconvenience which is clearly written on our receipt but never got. That was just another lie. After Ron told my wife that we had to wait 'til 29 Apr 18 for the ottoman she finally told him to keep the ottoman and refund our money. Worst experience ever with this company!! read more

I visited this establishment a few times before finally deciding to order a dining room table to be delivered to our new home on the Eastside of Lawton. First, their lack of customer service should have been my first indication that this business had less than honest practices. After informing the Manager, Ron, that I did not want to finance anything because we had just closed on our home, he did so anyway saying that the documents I filled out were just a formality. I told him I only wanted to do 90 days same as cash and put down $325. In two weeks time I returned with the remaining balance and was told that they would automatically withdraw the remaining balance from the bank account I provided. I took my cash and was content with what I was told. Months later, I was sent an account statement by my bank in which I noticed a continued charge from a company in Georgia. I contacted this company and I was told that they were my financing company and I owed $2000 for a dining room table because I didn't pay Wolverton before November 2014. I argued with them for quite some time until I realized this company was the middle man. I contacted my bank and stopped payment on this company and flagged my account for fraudulent charges. I also contacted Ron who then told me that he knew he didn't tell me he applied for financing on my behalf but the reason I owe that money is because I don't pay my bills. I became infuriated, told them to come pick up their table and that I would make it my business to communicate this to every military family I know and every social networking site I'm registered on. I contacted my husband and he was beyond upset, after going through our bank account, we realized that Wolverton received over $800 of our money which was above the cost on the receipt I received on the date of my deposit. Be weary of this company. The façade of supporting the military is a lie, just like the devil these people (especially Ron) feel as if they are untouchable and deserve only gratitude. read more

Do not be lured in purchasing furniture from this store during their "liquidation sales." It is basically a scam to take advantage of a Soldier's situation.They have unprofessional business practices and are RACIST, harrassing my husband. It may end up costing you quite a bit of money. They mark up the prices of furniture and then attempt to give you a discount, which is not uncommon. However, the owner and sales team are extremely unreasonable. I purchased a dining room set and it was not a floor model. This item was brand new and had to be ordered and delivered from a warehouse. On the same day, I noticed the same exact furniture was being sold elsewhere for about 900 dollars cheaper. I asked to cancel the order about two hours later and they refused, stating that all sales are final. While I understand that to be true for all the floor model furniture, he refused to cancel an order he did not even put in. When we kindly asked him, he responded by yelling at us and saying, "y'all are THOSE types of people." While I don't understand the meaning of that statement, I know such comments are unprofessional and unwarranted when negotiating for a refund. This owner was charasmatic when selling the furniture but unreasonable and unprofessional when we asked for a price match or retund for new furniture not even ordered. The worst part was after the whole ordeal, he told us, even when the furniture arrives and was not correct, no matter the condition or contents, it was ours because it was paid for. We mentioned that we were going to PCS soon and that after a month, we would no longer be in Lawton, the owner told us in better terms that it was not his problem. So in other words, if the furniture came in broken or incorrect or swapped out, he would just reorder it and if we were not there to receive it, it would be our loss. No refunds, no if, ands or buts. I would be extremely Leary of ordering furniture from a store with such business practices whom are going out of business and cannot guarantee the quality or even the correct model of furniture being delivered. I purchased a beautiful brown leather 3 piece sofa,otterman and chair..at the time of purchase added a extended warranty....1 year later contacted the store because the pillows were flat as a pancake, after coming out taking pictures...was told it was a manufacture problem and the manuf would be mailing.new inserts for the cushions.........after waiting 2 months for the inserts, was told the company had gone out of business by the RUDE person in charge. My pillows were picked up and taken to Quality uphol to "fix the problrm with no good results......I will never purchase anyyhing from wolverton....never not good customer service.....the delivery guy told me upon returning the pillows" mike said he's done with you" and Im done with wolverton!!! read more

Purchased a recliner and sofa back in December 2017. Still haven't received my furniture yet and it's FEB 23, 2018! When I call, all I get is one excuse after another. I would cancel the order but my wife really likes the sofa plus I'm already making payments on the furniture. They say they will return my call, but they never do. I would discourage any buyer that does not want to be taken advantage of away from this store. Once you purchase a product along with a life time warranty on furniture it truly does not mean that. I purchased a love seat from them 3 years ago and we have had nothing but issues since. Wolverton has been out to service it twice and it never fully fixed the issue. Since May of this year I have been in and out of Wolverton asking them to honor my lifetime warranty on the loveseat, finally in July they informed me that I had actually purchased a life time warranty through a third party. "Really I said", I was told nothing of this and on the receipt it says nothing to that affect. They then gave me a number to the third party. Once I called this third party, they told me they had no record of me ever purchasing this warranty. They told me it was a common error by some furniture stores, and that they would get ahold of Wolverton and get it resolved. This third party was true to their word; they resolved the issue and called me back in two days. Remember now that I have been in and out of Wolverton since May trying to resolve this issue. I told the service representative what the issues were and he logged them and asked one final question, "When did this occur?", I told him that I have been trying to resolve this since May. He then replied with, "I'm sorry you have to report within 30 days from when you first starting having issues with it.". I have since tried to call Wolverton and have the store manager call me back to resolve this issue. Of course the store is quick to accept your money, sell you a warranty that is call lifetime (but not really lifetime) but not call you back. I would be willing bet if I called them and said had I have $10,000 dollars to spend, they would call me back almost instantly. I am not looking for additional incentives, payouts or special treatment. I just want what I paid for and what was told to me when we purchased the love seat and warranty. The question I have is if I truly bought this warranty from a third party than why did Wolverton come out and service it before? Things do not add up on this lifetime warranty. I remember a time when store took pride in their name, they took pride in what they stood for, and they didn't take advantage of hard working people. They lived by what they sold and did not cower away from a wrong that they committed. I remember when customer loyalty was a corner stone for a company when it was more important in how they treated customers and what they sold them than passing the buck. Those days are nothing more than a memory for Wolverton. I encourage buyers to look for alternatives and save your hard earned money. There are plenty of stores that will not treat you like this and stand behind their product. It will not take them months to resolve your situation, if you buy a life time warranty they explain it to you and it means just that LIFE TIME not some time warranty. read more

This store is not as impressive as it looks. Im watching as two close friends of mine are being blackmailed before they receive their purchase. They have waited over a month for their items to be delivered, which still hasnt come although they have been given dates that it was "suppose to come". Apparently "Wolverton" did not like the review that they have earned and has shared that as soon as the review is removed they will deliver the items. They havent even corrected the couch that they order, in the wrong color i might add. We wont even touch on the fact that a hole was put in the wall when a bed set was being delivered.
