I was in the area and popped in bc I looked up thrift stores in the area. Its a pretty big store…read moreand they've got a little bit of everything. There's Christian music that plays kinda loudly. That was a tad distracting. But, fades away as you hunt. The prices are somewhat retail. I was more focused on kids stuff and they had Melissa & Doug items for $30-40. I asked the owner if I bought multiple items if he'd come down and he said no but come next week bc there's a 50% off color tag sale. That was a bummer. I did score 90% Christmas items so that was great. I found really cool older board games sealed. I always like to pick up vintage kids items as a nod to nostalgia. I'm wondering if it's a donations based place or buy/flip storage units based on the items in the store.

I didn't think we would find one, but we found a very nice pillow and a GROOVY pillow case. It was like a wish came true. We also went back the next day and found MORE stuff. As if that wasn't enough, we went back the next day and found even more treasures. I will say that each time we went back, it was like going to a brand new store. In addition, all the staff was super friendly, fast and efficient. By the 3rd time we came in, we felt like seasoned regular customers. This is a must-stop destination whenever you go to the Island. Each time you go, it's like a whole new experience. So, do yourself a favor and get yourself on over to Vashon and be sure to stop by Granny's Attic!!

Parking is tight, so you may have to loop around once or twice and take note of their drop off times if making donations. My only (minor) gripe is with one of the staff members, a blonde lady, who can be fairly rude about what you're donating. My wife and I gave a Cuisinart appliance, a DeWalt cordless drill, a few odds and ends, and a pair of Wolverine work boots. The stink face she made at the boots was insulting. Before I could tell her what a used pair typically runs, she tossed them in a bin and made a bee line elsewhere. Sad. Just a week earlier, I took a few items in and everything went great with different person who was extremely appreciative.

He showed me the list of the signatures of them pretty cool all by word-of-mouth. if you have a donation to give of any kind monetarily or clothing wise or anything drop on in. Just saw him take a typewriter from somebody. Goodwill's busy pain there CEO 20 million I'm sure. Put your money local for it actually helps somebody that you know and makes a difference in their life that day. I personally bought $37 worth of stuff which was probably like 7 items and some of those were brand new with tags on them and brand name, I got a purse. I can't say enough of what an experience it was to spend an hour wandering around his lovely store. The world need places like this to honor the past & the present! He said it's been there one way or another for 30 years. thank God they'll be here for another 30!. They require REQUIRE the people needing the furniture to attend a "service", which is so weird and cultish. Apparently they do the "service" upstairs... Then you really start to look around at the people that are working there, and they are super nice, until you ask for assistance from Tammy Faye B. It was awful. Do yourself a favor and donate/purchase from a cause/store that gives no matter what. No one deserves to have a Bible shoved down their throat, especially a person or family in need.

They helped my friend and I unload my car too. They told us the history of the food bank, which is it was started by a husband and wife who have now passed on and is being cared for by others in their name. They help everyone who asks for help. They had a lot of information and helpful tips at their front desk for patrons who may need assistance with other needs. I'm so glad that I was able to help this food bank and their cause. They are doing wonderful work here.
