I reached out to Aaron when I discovered that my tenants were conducting potentially illegal and…read moredangerous activities in the basement. This somehow seemed to personally offend him. I have worked in the legal field for over a decade and I have never encountered a more rude, sneering and condescending individual. Our first phone conversation was seemingly OK and then it went downhill from there. Afterwards nearly every question I asked was met with disdain. At times he seemed to be on the verge of giving himself an ulcer. He would constantly interrupt and attempt to browbeat. At no point did I feel like this was a lawyer who would have my best interests at heart. My personal favorite moment of our short-lived relationship is when he dramatically sighed and said "Unfortunately, it looks like I will have to do some work for you." I assume no one forced him to be a lawyer. Eventually he decided that we should serve the tenants a termination of lease. He misspelled "dangerous" on the notice. You would think for a 3K retainer he would avoid such sloppy mistakes. He then decided to change his mind at the last minute and that was the final straw. It was my mistake to put up with Aaron's bad behavior but as I was in a time crunch I felt that I had limited options. From the many positives reviews (I assume most of them are real), Aaron does know how to behave like an adult and treat people in a professional and courteous manner. However, if you are one of the people that Aaron decides to show his true and lowly nature to, hang up immediately as this burst hemorrhoid is not worth one second of your time. The only good thing I can say about him is that he gave the retainer back. But I did have to email him for the final installment. Additionally, if you are a landlord seeking representation - call Abdilla & Associates at 630-839-9195.

He answered his phone when calling the main number, seemed cordial for the first minute then as soon as he realized I was a new customer he talked as fast as an auctioneer, letting me know he'd text me an email for more appropriate correspondence, mentioning he gets paid for his time, charging a minimum of $200 for 1/2 hour or less. He didn't pause for a second before hanging up, never hearing the details of my case. So yes, has a rude personality as others have said. He never followed up with the email as he said he would. There's so many lawyers to choose from in Chicago. This guy clearly doesn't want any new business. If he's such a "big deal" why doesn't he have an assistant to answer calls?

She told me that she speaks 4 languages and "English is my worst". I, the other attorney and the Court Reporter all agreed that we could understand her translation. I was forced to send her home before the deposition began. When I informed Atlas, they refused to refund my $240 pre-payment. You think they would have apologized and refunded my money, but obviously this company does not care about the customer.

When first trying to obtain a quote, Darren offered a phenomenal deal and replied in good time. I had a personal family project, so I had to make sure we were financial able too. Once the green light was given financially, I contacted Darren again. He did not reply for weeks. When he did, he apologized and said my emails went into spam. EVEN though I left a voice message with my info. When he contacted me back, I had questions on process since my project was not a typical short business document. Responses were good until I forwarded the full document for him to properly estimate the cost, per his request. I never heard from him again even after emailing and calling. I was eager to use his service because of the cost, but with this lack of professionalism after given my full personal translating project is un-nerving. I am now using another translation service that is significantly higher in cost, BUT at least responds and provided me a process outline.

This is my experience, and it may not be the experience of everyone. I really hoped for this to go…read morewell. I'll start off with the fact that I wanted to support a neighborhood business as I am a small business owner and we all often support each other. It started off really well. Claire was responsive and super friendly. We discussed a few ideas and she was super excited to create a few logo drafts. A few days later, she responded with her ideas. None of these looked professional or like there was professional effort put into them. That is subjective, however, and I can't discount any effort put in just because it didn't match the level of work I'd hoped for. So I politely and delicately expressed this to her and asked for guidance on the next steps. No response. After a few days, I followed up with her. She expressed regret that the designs weren't a good fit. She asked me for detail, which I provided in the subsequent email. After that email, I never received confirmation. I never received correspondence at all. I waited the rest of the week, the weekend, and the beginning of the next week. I had attempted to follow up with her to ask if she wanted to continue to work together as I hadn't heard anything back. No answer. It wasn't until I reached out explaining that I was having a hard time getting any communication from her and it may be a better idea to just refund what I'd paid for the product. She quickly responded that the turn around time had barely passed and (in thinly veiled passive aggression) expressed regret that I couldn't be patient for her. I explained that I would be absolutely ok with any time frame if she'd communicated with me. I said "Got your email, working on it" would have been absolutely enough just to let me know anything. I reiterated that I just hadn't heard from her at all and didn't know what to think by that point. She then responded with a different reason and it was that she had a family emergency. If she would have communicated that, I immediately would have responded with compassion and I would have told her to take all the time she needed. Life does not revolve around business. We all need to walk away sometimes and I can absolutely respect that. However, she hadn't communicated with me at all, so again, I didn't know what her intentions were or why she wasn't communicating. We decided to go our separate ways and she'd agreed to a refund. I thanked her and ignored the passive aggressive responses via text because those can be taken out of context sometimes. I thought about asking for confirmation when the refund would be sent, but I didn't want to push and just hoped by now she'd just take the initiative to communicate once the refund was initiated. Days went by, again, no communication, no refund. I text her requesting to follow up on the situation. She was very passive aggressive and said that she'd been trying to get a hold of me. (There was no proof of this on my end as I made sure to check). She sent me proof of sending me and email that was not in any thread we'd had. She sent over the refund and left with a sarcastic comment. I then responded that as a small business owner, I couldn't understand the need for nastiness, but if that's how she chose to run her business, so be it. She responded with laughing emojis stating that she was absolutely genuine and nice. I left that alone. I'm glad that this is over. In a different situation, this could have been great to work together to develop something cool. I would've loved to show off whatever we could come up with. Even if we couldn't have come up with a cool logo, I would have never asked for a refund and I would have been very vocal about a pleasant experience. Her lack of communication, professionalism, the entitled attitude when I would follow up or request very basic communication, and her responses made this a Yelpable experience.
