All the services at The Women's Clinic are FREE. The staff and volunteers are amazing. I took my 16…read moreyear old daughter to the clinic after she had a positive home pregnancy test. My family and my daughter were in a crisis. My daughter was extremely scared, confused, shocked, uncertain about anything, and felt that either suicide or an abortion were the only solutions for this situation. She met with a peer coach who listened to her fears, concerns, and everything she could muster the courage to voice. After meeting with her coach and testing positive for pregnancy at the clinic, she received a free limited ultra sound. I was able to present during the ultra sound. As I stood beside my daughter while holding her hand, I watched the RN (Registered Nurse) perform the exam. My daughter was able to see her baby's heart beating for the first time and in that moment realized that there was a real human life inside of her. Through tears of fear there was a slight glimmer of hope in her eyes. My daughter left the clinic that day with a picture of her baby in her wallet and made the decision to give the baby life. Today, my grand child is a healthy, happy, vibrant girl that my daughter says she couldn't imagine life without her. She states although she didn't have all the answers at that time (and still doesn't), she's glad she made the decision to give birth to her baby. We are both very thankful and grateful to The Women's Clinic of Columbus for helping my daughter through this difficult time and providing her with that first look at her baby. Thank you for listening, caring, comforting, guiding, and providing this free service.

I am a former client of PDHC. I first visited the PDHC Campus location in the late summer of 2020…read more I came to this center feeling incredibly vulnerable, scared, and in desperate need of someone to listen to me and provide me assistance without demanding money or commitments. The center provides free reserved parking spaces for clients in a safe, well-lit parking lot (a rarity in this particular area of Columbus). I was greeted by a friendly receptionist (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) who warmly welcomed me into a very clean, spacious, welcoming waiting room with a great level of natural lighting and provided me a clipboard with a simple form to look over and begin to fill out basic information. I was informed of their privacy practices verbally and in writing, and told that anything I did not understand on the form or had questions about I was welcome to discuss with my counselor. My wait time was pretty short and I felt that my time was very much respected (many offices I've been to in the past this was NOT the case at all). When I was brought back, I was warmly greeted by a nurse named Kathy and brought into a nice, private room with comfortable seating, good lighting, and a calming atmosphere. Kathy took the time to talk with me about everything I was thinking and feeling, listen to me, and guide me through this process. When it was time for me to take a test, Kathy made sure I understood how to do it and I did not feel rushed at all. I provided my sample in a very clean, private bathroom and went back to the counseling room to wait for Kathy, who returned a few minutes later. She told me we could review results in a very short few minutes but while we were waiting, gave me the opportunity to talk. She listened to me and gave me accurate information about my situation and all possible outcomes, as well as the plethora of resources available in the community. Because of PDHC, I was able to get connected with an amazing physician who has helped me obtain diagnosis & treatment of several complex issues other doctors have been unable or unwilling to take the time to address. Because of PDHC, I know in the event I need their services in the future, I am not alone and have the support of people who genuinely care and want to be there for you. My only regret is that some people who disagree with certain ideological issues choose to make up lies or trash talk an organization run by volunteers & donations to provide help to some of the most vulnerable Ohioans.
