I came here for my first Pap smear and Dr. Elain Duplar was AMAZING! I was so nervous going into the appointment not knowing what to expect and Maddie was so kind and easy to talk to when getting me situated. Dr. Duplar was very informative and easy to talk to. She was able to keep the conversation going so there wasn't a moment of awkward silence and she was just soooo friendly. The whole thing took about 3 minutes, quick and easy. DIRECTIONS: Dr. Duplars practice is located in Suite 400 on 13420 N Meridian st Suite 400, Carmel, IN 46038 When you walk into the building theres a security officer desk on the left side. If you are not wearing a mask they will give you one. To get to SUITE 400 from the front entrance there is an elevator straight ahead. Women's Health Alliance has had the misfortune of dealing with construction for the past year or two as St. Vincent built an entirely new Women's Center. With renovations completed last summer, it is not nearly as difficult to find. Look at the directory on the main floor and make sure you take the correct elevator - not all roads lead to Rome (err, I mean not all elevators lead to the ob-gyn). The new building + office space is swanky and new. On my visits, I've never had to wait too long for my appointment, although that isn't always the case once you're in the exam room. That's unfortunately to be expected at a doctor's office, but it's not nearly as bad as the stereotypical wait time. The staff here has the entire process down to a science like a smooth-operating machine. However, this can sometimes make it feel more like a factory than a personal experience. That being said, I've always been pleased with my doctor (Dr. Flora) and she has answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. She makes me feel comfortable (as comfortable as you can at the ob-gyn) and I would recommend her and WHA. read more

I want to start by saying I was referred to Bethany Monte here. I was told GREAT things and really wanted to work her. The first time I called to make an appointment I was hardly greeted, asked for my name and date of birth. The woman told me rudely she could hardly hear me and proceeded to just be curt speaking to me. This really deterred me so I said never mind and chose not to make an appointment. After reevaluating and again hearing what great work Bethany does, I chose to power through and call again to set up an appointment. This time I was greeted the same way by a woman named Latasha. She asked for my name and when I told her she just said "what?!" So I repeated it, after her doing the what bit again, I simply asked if she needed me to spell it since it wasn't clear to her what I was saying. She cut me off and said "I can't hear you very well" so I went on to say that's why I said I can spell it for you, but she cut me off before I could even finish my sentence. Frustrated at this point I asked to speak with someone else because she was being rude. Maybe I shouldn't have said that but I just wanted to make an appointment. She yelled "First of all, I couldn't hear you." It just got a lot worse from there. I have been a patient coordinator and don't feel it is ever okay to speak to a patient that way, especially a potential new patient. The front office staff is the face of the organization and it's important to be kind and welcoming and make people want to come back. I was never able to speak to anyone else. Latasha transferred me to a office coordinator's voicemail. I still haven't gotten a return phone call. I just don't understand how the office is okay with having employees be so rude and disrespectful to potential patients, pregnant patients at that. read more

I just sat and waited an hour in this office. I don't mind waiting 10-15 minutes but an hour. I had a mammogram scheduled down stairs and was late for that so I told them I will reschedule. The reception person was nice and it was not her fault as far as I know. Do you think we don't have other commitments or anything else to do? As much as I love everyone at Women's Health Alliance, it still isn't FUN to go to the gynecologist. So no, I will not be giving it five stars. I'd rather be sailing. So, I give it four well-deserved stars for bringing my three sons into this world with very little complication. WHA has moved its offices to inside the new, holy-cow-cool Clarian North Medical Center in Carmel. If you haven't seen this hospital yet, you must. Maybe you've driven past and don't even know it's a hospital (it looks more like a fancy, shmancy hotel). The location is great, especially if you're baking a little one (or more) in the oven. The offices, as I mentioned, are inside the hospital in the "Medical Office Building." Can't get much closer to the action in case your water breaks during a routine visit. Oh, and in case it matters to ya, most of the doctors are women. read more

I've only been to this facility a few times as I had to move from Annapolis MD almost into the end of my pregnancy- I have seen the NP and Dr Flora and I have only been able to say great things about the practice- my old OB-gyn I would have to wait for at least an hour to be seen or the staff didn't seem that friendly- even the triage nurse gave me attitude twice when I called to ask a question but here it seems like day and night - so far I think they're running a very organized practice and Dr Flora is so soft spoken and I don't ever feel that any of my questions are "dumb" or silly and I appreciate that being a first time mother. I will update my review once I deliver my baby in a week or so. read more

Although the facility is amazing, my experience was anything but personal. Patients check in on a computer by swiping your drivers license (even though there is a receptionist sitting idly at the station) and then immediately pay your co-pay at the same computer by credit. Seems as though appointments are scheduled too tightly as I always waited past my appointment time and then seemed rushed once with the doctor. On more than one occasion I called with a question, seeking counsel and an appointment for immediate medical attention and was told they were too busy. I always felt as though my medical needs were not at the top of their priorities. Needless to say, I sought a new practice after a few visits at an equally nice facility. read more

Very nice facility with friendly and informative receptionists. My wait time was short...much better than some where you find yourself 15 minutes early for an appt only to get called 45 minutes later. The facility was very clean. My dr listened attentively and gave me several options. When I seemed indecisive, she said it was no problem I could do some research and think it over. Which I did and have been satisfied with my choice. read more

St Vincent's systems make every appointment a nightmare. They overbook, ask same questions repeatedly and when they try to automate, they get it wrong. I went all through the online check-in only to get to the end when it failed to update. They are always late and yet leave messages for you to show up 30 minutes early. Doctor is great but not sure if it's worth it. read more

I began seeing Dr. Moon about 2 years ago after recommendations from several friends and other doctors in the St. V's network. I completely credit her with finding and diagnosing some very potentially scary things going on my lady parts. Who knows how long it had been that way! After she performed surgery I was able to get pregnant 3 months after surgery. We had struggled with infertility for 8 years and didn't know why we couldn't get pregnant. It seemed to have mostly boiled down to some issues that had gone undiagnosed by previous OB's. Now that I am 4.5 months pregnant Dr. Moon is the only person I see for my appts. She doesn't allow an NP to see her patients unless there is an emergency. Same for delivery. I have been assured she does all deliveries unless she's on vacation. It gives me a huge piece of mind. Overall the services are a bit pricier than other providers, per the way my insurance is responding to claims. But I don't mind paying more for higher quality service. If you're in the market for new OB care, I highly welcome this group and specifically Dr. Moon. read more

I no longer trust Women's Health Alliance and plan to change doctors! They are very disorganized and extremely inefficient. I sent my daughter for tests two weeks ago and waited and called and waited for the results. Called to learn that 'we lost the specimen - could she come back in?' Scary. Had my annual pap with follow-up that 'my mole was negative." HUH? I called them to say i didn't have a mole examined HUH? Barely got a response when i called them to correct their mistake. The Doctor Cannot Even Get You In For An Appointment Unless It Is Months In Advance I have been seeing my doctor here for the last 7 years and she is an excellent doctor. However, since that time, she has taken on so many new patients that I cannot even get in to see her. I called to schedule an appointment and I had two dates to choose from. The first date, I would have to take off a half a day of work and would only be able to provide my work with a one day notice (due to another patient cancellation, I am assuming). I was not able to do this because I have an important meeting that day and the next date they could see me was a month away at the end of October. The only other appointments available are for mid December. I find that unacceptable. Yes, my doctor is good but what is the point in her being my doctor if she cannot see me for my medical needs and I have to wait 1-3 months before being seen? If I need to see my doctor I should be able to see her within a reasonable amount of time and at least have a little flexibility as to when my appointment is. In the last several years, I have also found that my wait time increases with each visit (about an hour each time). It is just horrible that what use to be such a great practice that cared about its patients, has turned into a 3 ring circus where the doctor does not have time to even see her patients and we wait forever when we actually are able to get in. I really think something needs to be done or I think the practice will end up losing a lot of business if it continues. When I tried to see if maybe one of the other doctors in the practice may be able to see me sooner, they told me I would have to switch to that doctor together if that is what I want to do. read more

I found Women's Health Alliance about 9 years ago when I moved to the Indy area and was pregnant with my first child. Dr. Denman was recommended to me by my cousin, and I absolutely love her. She has great instincts and saved my first child's life by following them. She also saved my life when I needed emergency surgery for a nearly ruptured ectopic pregnancy in 2014. Dr. Denman treated me with compassion while explaining the procedure necessary, and continued her care and support afterwards. WHA is inside St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, in the new Women's Hospital. The facility is gorgeous and welcoming, and I trust this practice. I have followed WHA from when they were located in Clarion Hospital (now IU North) to their new office at St. V's and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I love having the option to check in online ahead of time or in the office. I can update everything from medical history to billing online through the Patient Portal, as well as message my doctor with questions in between office visits. I have nothing but good things to say about this. read more

It is a beautiful practice and I liked the doctor that I have seen here. However, I am seeking another ob/gyn because frankly the practice feels like a cattle call. Like Fi H noted, it's a very impersonal experience (you are literally shuttled through a well-organized maze of check-in and check-out desks during your appointment to keep you in line, analogous to an amusement park!). I called with an issue of concern and wanted to see my doctor - instead, I was transferred to a nurse who didn't bother pulling up my chart and told me "it wasn't an issue." If it's not normal for ME, it IS an issue! read more

Went in experiencing symptoms for which an ultrasound was required. After the ultrasound, I was seen by Dr. Flora, which I have only seen one other time. She seems perfectly nice, but her nurse or technician was short with me, didn't seem to want to listen, and had no desire to take down the information on the number of vitamins and supplements that have changed since I was last seen; only the medications. I know that most MDs don't put much stock in that kind of thing, but I would think they are pretty important to know about as some things can have an effect on levels of all kinds of things in the body. Dr then proceeds to tell me I need surgery for a cyst and polyps. She sent me for blood work, for which I assumed was checking hormone levels. I later found out she was testing for cancer antigens and, the fact I wasn't informed of this and given the opportunity to ask questions, really bothers me. Then after being told I would receive 2 different calls on Monday (one for lab results and one about finances,) I got no calls. After calling them the next day (yesterday), I still have yet to receive a call about my lab results. I got fed up with the runaround and the pre recorded messages and went to obtain copies of my records to see for myself, as well as take the information for a second opinion about the need for surgery. The main hospital at St. V's can get record copies to you same day while you wait, but they don't have my records for the OBGYN. When I got to the OBGYN, they have me fill out a form and tell me it's going to be 48 hours! I live 30 miles away! I threw a fit because I have been trying to get my lab results for three days, and the front desk lady finally got them to copy the whopping 8 pages worth of my records, charged me $20, and proceeds to tell me (after I ask where they were) that the ultrasound pictures weren't in my file, and she doesn't know where they are. I decided to go back to the place that did the ultrasound, and they burned a disk off for me at no charge. So now, I have my lab results, but they still have not called to give them to me. The labs were back on Saturday; 5 days ago. I also want to add that after seeing the Dr on Friday, she didn't even bother to make a note in my chart. Can't wait for my second opinion, and to, hopefully, find a different OBGYN that will listen, care, and answer my questions. read more

Called WHA yesterday, February 10, to get a new 90 day prescription because I have changed insurances. I left a message for the nurse to call me on my cell phone. She called the house and left a message for me to call her. I called and said I had left my cell phone number since I knew I'd be gone for awhile and she told me that I did NOT leave a number at all. Then she told me that she couldn't call in the prescription for me because it was a mediocre company and they didn't call them. She told me she'd send the prescription to me and I could send it in. I didn't understand that since that would take me two weeks to get it back by the time I received the prescription, mailed it and had it filled and returned. I asked her if she could send me a 30 day prescription too since I only have one pill left. She said she would phone it in to any pharmacy I wished but not to the one I have with my insurance company. I told her to just send that one to me too. Why wouldn't this nurse, who was obviously in a bad mood, not call my pharmacy? I just don't understand. I have been a patient for over 15 years at WHA and have never had a problem with anything or anyone before. I have an appointment in July and am really thinking I will go somewhere else where they will appreciate my business. read more
