I've ordered from Wonder before and loved their Royal Greens salad and Build your own Bowl from Yasas. However, this pastrami sandwich from Tejas BBQ was so dry! I liked that it had plenty of meat but the meat was crumbling apart. Also, Detroit style pizza is my favorite style but the lack of toppings on this pizza was so disappointing! I even paid extra for Hot Honey and that couldn't even save this pizza. I like the concept of Wonder and I want ghost kitchens to do well because they really are convenient but please don't give up quality for convenience!! Overrated. Completely. I gave this place three tries, as that's my personal rule; and it failed all three times. The food was subpar across the board. They claimed this was "Di Fara" pizza... absolutely no way. That tasted nothing like the real thing. The Mexican dishes were bland, the Thai was mediocre, and the cheesesteak? Straight-up garbage. I'm just going to call a spade a spade here: I'd rather order from regular delivery services. This whole Wonder setup with a centralized kitchen pretending to channel "prestigious culinary chefs" is just not cutting it. Takeout order from Royal Greens. This is my go-to place at Wonder. The food and portions at Royal Greens are usually pretty good. There are discount codes available for new Wonder customers, and then once you're a customer you'll occasionally receive coupon codes via email. (I used one with this order.) I ordered the Strawberry Pecan Salad (plus additional toppings) and the Royal Roots Bowl (plus additional toppings). Both are gluten-free plus good portions. I'll have dinner tonight plus lunch for a couple days from this order. Royal Greens orders don't require a lot of prep so they are usually ready fairly quickly. What an interesting concept. There are at least 11 different restaurnt foods that are prepared in this kitchen. Really quite amazing if you have a few friends over and some want Mexican, some want friend chicken and the rest want pizza. You can order from one or more of the different restaurants. There are tables and chairs and the space is quite open so it can accommodate wheelchairs. The BBQ at Tejas was delish and the burrito bowl at LimeSalt was so tasty. Wonder just officially opened yesterday and it being Friday and us all having different cravings for dinner tonight, we decided to give it a try. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak from Fred's Meat and Bread. It was definitely smaller than advertised but what it lacked in size it totally made up for in taste, flavor, satisfaction. DEEEEELICIOUS. Highly recommend. Next up, Tandoori Wings from Wing Trip. WOW. Immediately the aroma rose to meet our noses and slap us in the face. Served with 2 different flavorful chutneys. The wings were plentiful. Plump, juicy and crispy. Probably one of the best wings I've ever had. Definitely recommend. Can't wait to try the other flavors. Next, the classic red top pizza from Detroit Brick Pizza Co. A standard square pie (4 squares) perfectly portioned. Delicious sauce. Fluffy, airy, crispy crust. Reminiscent of my favorite local Grandma Pie from Rosarios. Delicious. Very tasty. Can't wait to try the others. Finally, last but not least, the Build your own Poké bowl from Hanu Poké for the vegetarian. Rice, tofu, avocado, edamame, cucumber, shallots and Sriracha Mayo. Delicious, but portion was lacking for the price (just under $17 bucks) Had it been a bit more plentiful, it would've been excellent. Very good regardless. This is super convenient for someone like myself, who likes to order from a few restaurant at the same time and get bored from just one. I tried it twice, ordering and pickup through the app had a generally pleasant experience. Food quality was comparable to dining in, at least much better than take out from normal restaurant who do not put much thoughts into take out. Not only the food was good, they tried to keep the presentation of the food similar to the way they would do it at the restaruant. I ordered a steak from Bobby Van and they kept the thyme and grilled onion on the side of the same takeout box. I tried others tool, texas bbq, pasta, pizza, steak, sandwich, american, you name it. Fine food. Order a few things from the Samuelson menu. High - chicken was good . Low - cornbread soggy with butter underneath. Its fast food or like Applebee's or Chili's. Chain food. Similar style too. One huge menu the same kitchen manages. I would guess that they reuse basics between menus. But will have to test that out later. Above was take out. I also walked in with my family and they didn't want to stay. They thought it would be a dining hall concept and were turned off by the one window one kitchen aesthetic. Wonder says it's a food hall made for delivery - indeed. There's a convenience here of ordering many things from one place and perhaps menus you'd have to jump on the subway to get. I chose to try this place since they had a promo code for my first order. However this mimicks other food courts that are essentially ghost kitchens - food that is really made off site and then finished at the wonder location. It's really disappointing the quality of the food and being that it's big names- it's like fancy frozen meals that are being sold to you. I think they are banking on the big names that are being sold but it doesn't work if the food doesn't translate well. I got the chicken and waffles from Samuelson and it was so dry and cold. The prices are pretty expensive before the promo code. This model may be better in a smaller city or town but in a place like nyc where there are so many options- I don't see it being successful. Support restaurants that actually cook their food fresh for you. The staff were friendly but I'm afraid they are not trained chefs and just know how to turn on an oven/microwave. As long as you understand that this is like a fancy expensive McDonald's- then your expectations will be accurate. read more

Brand new, clean, easy to order kiosks, diverse menu so very good to snacking across cuisines. Got some pizza from Detroit Brick Pizza - the Big Mac pizza which was really good (initially thought it was overpriced at about $19, but when we received it there as at least 6 pieces), and the 3 chicken tinga tacos from Barrio Cafe for about $15 (they forgot the cilantro, the chicken was mehhhh not a juicy flavored and the tortillas were a bit cold)...all in all not too terribly priced. It's brand new with clean facilities; on the day I went, there was no access to the bathroom FYI as the building was so new and the staff mentioned the building owners had not yet programmed in their bathroom keypad code. The wait was a bit for our two items and There was only one staff member working the main floor, she personally delivered our order versus yelling our name out. I ordered a salad via delivery through Seamless and was very happy with my experience. The delivery was fast and the driver was courteous. The beet & goat cheese salad with grilled chicken was fresh & delicious. The only downside was I was craving tofu, but they didn't offer it as an option. Otherwise I was pleasantly surprised with this establishment. The price was almost half what I would have paid at SweetGreen. Excellent value. Meh. Had high hopes bc of the branding, chef partnerships, fast expansion, huuuuge amounts of money invested, but the food itself is underwhelming and the food is what we're here for. Everything is prepared offsite, which is ok if you can perfect that model, but if you're serving some of the most well known chefs cuisine, the commissary model is going to leave your patrons unsatisfied. Customers know McDonalds is all frozen offsite prepared unhealthy food and is loved worldwide bc it's consistent, fast, and tasty, but you don't get McDonald's if you truly want and expect a real burger. Wonder is struggling as they seem to be making an attempt at serving a higher quality product using a method designed for a lower quality, yet consistent product, across multiple "brands" and skus. NYC and other major markets have too many owner operated food establishments serving great consistent food that if you want a share of that volume, you'll need to step it and improve the quality. But Wonder is not a food business, they've acquired Blue Apron, GrubHub, Relay (courier service), Tastemade, and Spyce (robotics). Your local food hub doesn't make these moves. Locals want food that represents your pictures, price point, and brand. Food is sensitive and personal and consumers demand a memorable experience if you want tou acquire their eating habits. That being said, the discounts I continuously receive in the mail will not be used until i read about some serious improvements on what really matters, the food! read more
