Came back to get another vegan reuben because I loved it so much last time - was way too salty this time... still love the atmosphere here but food can sometimes be hit or miss.

Met some dear friends here for breakfast this morning. First time and won't be the last time. Our server was amazing, had good suggestions to try from the menu. Loved the decor as well, cute diner! Tried a vanilla cap for the drink and the vegan breakfast burrito.

For my first time at Wonderland Diner, I had a pretty good experience. It would be more like 3.5 stars, but that's not an option, so I'll round up. Our server seemed less than enthused to be waiting on us, but it didn't hamper the experience too much. For a Friday evening, I was surprised to see it rather empty. Nonetheless, the decor was cozy yet eclectic and the playlist was relaxing. For beverages, my dining companion ordered a Diet Coke -- not much to comment on there. I went with an iced tea, but something was off about it. It tasted almost dirty in a way that's hard to explain. No amount of lemon helped, and I couldn't stomach more than a couple sips. I'd skip it, if I were you. My dining companion opted for an order of six wings with the Creole Dry Rub and Buttermilk Aioli, along with a basket of fries. The wings were fall-off-the-bone tender and the rub was flavorful. The French fries were a little bland, but nothing some table salt couldn't fix. I went with the Tuscan Chicken Mac and was blown away. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, the spinach and cherry tomatoes added some color and texture, and the mac n cheese itself was delightfully gooey and creamy. The portion size is massive and I took home about half of it. I'd order it again in a heartbeat. Our bill came out to a little over $50, including tip. Seems maybe a tad pricey, but you'll be finding similar prices at any casual sit-down restaurant these days. I plan on making another stop to Wonderland Diner in the future -- maybe brunch?

Overall, our experience at wonderland was positive. We arrived early for dinner on a Friday night to enjoy their Friday night fish fry. The catch of the Day was bluegill, but we opted to get the cod fry. The cod was perfectly crispy with a thin yet crunchy batter. The fish was cooked to perfection and flaky. Super impressed by the fish. The potato pancake was tasty, but quite thick- not typical to what I'm used to with a potato pancake, but nonetheless very tasty. It can with homemade applesauce which I wanted a jar of. Unfortunately, my least favorite part of the fish fry was the coleslaw. It was advertised as a poppy seed, pineapple coleslaw and I didn't really get any hint of pineapple. I felt that it was a little bland compared to the deliciousness of the other items. But I also tend to go with a creamier version of coleslaw. We ordered the chili and the clam chowder to come before the meal. I would consider the chili to be quite smokey, almost as if they used a smokey tomato. It was good, but very thick. The clam chowder was also very thick. I'm typically used to a thinner type of soup, but it was extremely flavorful. Overall, my experience was great. I would gladly go again and try a lot of the other. Really wonderful menu items listed that are unique and seem to be home-cooked! This place had a really unique decor inside. It was bright and friendly looking. Our server was also very attentive. I wouldn't say she went above and beyond explaining options or dishes, but we also didn't inquire about anything overly difficult.

The breakfast sandwich is sooo good-highly recommend adding on the sausage patty. The bloody was also great, and had really good fixings! Love the vibes there, and art bar being right next door/attached is great! Service was very quick and attentive. They recently got apple/google pay, which makes life easier.

We stopped in for breakfast after a round of golf at Lincoln Park. The breakfast sandwich here is amazing. The eggs in general are just really good. They are fluffy and flavorful. My homemade biscuit fell apart a bit while eating but it was delicious. I tacked on the pulled ham to the sandwich which was good. My boyfriend's breakfast included a couple sausage patties that we both loved. We definitely agreed we would be back. The space is bright and colorful, comfortable chairs. Service was good, no one hovering over you all the time. 10/10, Will come back.

This was my second time at Wonderland. Last time, I got the vegan (tofu) wings to complement the pizza at Art Bar, which was delicious, but was drawn back for the pot pie. My partner got the Friday fish fry, which had an awesome apple cabbage slaw, but the fish portion was small. I was a bit underwhelmed by the pot pie, which was too soupy and had an abnormal flavor. I would only go for specific items.

Best breakfast burrito in Milwaukee! This chill spot in Riverwest has a modern take a classic diner fare. The service was fast. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us some great descriptions of menu items.

he Foundation. Where we had the Rum Barrel (Brian), Lonely Virgin (Beth and I), Next will be Wonderland Milwaukee to eat. Wonderland looks to be a nice place. Food ordered, soup of the day Jambalaya, Meatloaf, Shortribs, and Chicken pot pie (2). Well the place is good, the food does not come out fast, so you know it's freshly made. Come back, hmmm. I just don't know. However, we do want to come and try the fried chicken on Saturday and Sunday. Our server was great !

Made a last minute decision to visit Wonderland Diner and did not look what to expect. The food was delicious, portions were bigger than expected, and the people were kind. I had the shroom burger and my bf had the fish fry he was surprised at the amount of perch that came on the plate. It was quieter when we showed up but by the time we left they were buzzing with customers. Great spot for a nice meal where you won't be left hungry!

Big City Breakfast post chalula sauce addition. That cherry mint preserve on the French toast is unforgettably tremendous.

Great diner feel inside with the clanging plates, delicious aromas and sweet servers' smiles! The Bloody Mary is citrus-laced spicy ecstasy, and I wish I wouldn't have shared the divine breakfast bread with everyone. Next time we will each get our own! The eggs were perfectly to order and they let you butter your own toast, which I love! But in addition to traditional diner morning fare, there are awesome vegan and gluten free options like the beet tofu scramble and lentil sausage. We loved every bite!

Such a cute diner! All their menu items are available as vegan/vegetarians, so a great place to come with your friends if there's a mix of dietary preferences/requirements. Came for a Saturday brunch and had no wait. I got the chicken & waffles which, after trying everyone elses dish, is arguably the best dish on the menu (*if you eat meat). Super crispy breaded chicken, waffles were soft and fluffy. I'm not sure what was in the gravy but it was very hearty. Some fried jalepenos & onion jam to make it a lil more ~fancy~. I was starving when I got there and ordered with my eyes, aka I added some hash browns, which were very crispy and I think cheesy???. I ended up taking half of it all home and eating the rest for dinner! I also tried the Monte Cristo which was very large. The sandwiches don't come with fries/chips/hashbrowns. Street parking. Decently priced.

Tons of toppings though! The sausage was really good too. Never being there but knowing they have cannoli (no dessert case seen), I asked what flavors and got a strange look like there must be only one flavor lol. Okay, I'll take whatever that one is! The atmosphere was as cozy as ever. Our service was deeply disappointing. Our server, A.S., might have been tired or something. I can't speak for her state of mind, but she was really detached and borderline dismissive. Yes, we got all of our food. We would certainly have ordered more drinks, increasing our tab and gratuity, but she never came back and asked if anyone wanted one. One of our guests ordered avocado toast. Apparently they were out. She came back and said "Whoever ordered the avocado toast, we're out." She didn't know who ordered which dish to start, and then she didn't bring a menu back so the guest could make an informed second choice. They had to just order whatever they remembered. Coffee drinkers were offered one refill - just one. Seriously, I don't know what was going on, but we left pretty quickly since our celebratory mood was being squelched. I hope she recovered from whatever was wrong with her.

There are tables and chairs, but it's tight and when it got busy with people coming to pick up their lunch, would feel weird sitting down to eat. Previous review stands (3/25/2022) This is another happy review. I'm happy to report that the burgers have improved significantly since my last review 4 years ago. Korean BBQThey toned down on the shredded cabbage and the sauce in the korean bbq burger. Everything balanced out much better than what I remember, and I could actually taste the kimchi inside this time. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, and travelled well in our to-go order. Soft Shell CrabThey put two whole deep fried soft shell crabs in one burger. Topped off with a lot of arugula, bacon and tomatoes. It was good, but not quite as balanced out as the Korean BBQ burger. I'm not quite sure what it is... Lacking some sauce?Overall, the place had some great burgers and I would definitely go back more often that I have recently. But there's a little bit missing still to give it a whopping 5 star review. Plus the buns were really bready... a little less dough would have been nice. And on the downside... the fries weren't awesome. They were ok. But felt more like baked fries than deep fried. In any case, I love improvements and having great joints in my neighborhood. I can say this place serves delicious doner kebab on fresh housemade bread on par with what I tasted in Germany. Doner Kebab can be ordered as Classic on their housemade bread, as a Wrap, as a Bowl, or as a Donerdilla (quesadilla with Doner using their wrap), and you can choose beef or chicken. They have a couple of side dishes, including fries and loaded fries, plus fountain drinks and bottled drinks. The dining room seats about 20 people. I visited twice, so far. First visit was for dine-in about 2 weeks ago, but there were large orders ahead of me, so my wait time reached a point where I asked them to switch my order to carry-out, and I ate it over 90 minutes later after my appointment. After 90 minutes, the doner kebab was still delicious even without reheating it. Ofcourse the fries became soggy as expected but seasoning was really good. I went back over this past weekend for dine-in. Wait time was only about 15 minutes, and this time the fries were perfectly crisp and still had the great seasoning blend, plus a tasty garlic sauce for dipping. They do not have ketchup for fries, and I like that. They have 3 sauces to choose from: garlic, herb, and spicy. The Classic Doner Kebeb was even better eaten fresh, but flavors were about the same as my carry-out sandwich eaten "cold," which speaks to the consistency. Be patient in your visit because it is a small team of 2 taking and prepping orders, and there may be call-in orders or large orders ahead of you. I will definitely go back to try everything else on the menu!

In the past few years since I've moved back to Milwaukee, I've eaten at this location several times. It's about 6 blocks from my house and I still find veggie Mexican options to be rarer than I'd like. Generally the food is good, if no longer great. I wonder if their expansion and success has spread them thin over the years. Sometimes the service is good, sometimes it's like an afterthought. I've also ordered delivery from them many times and it's been generally fine, but not often great. Tonight I ordered delivery, paid extra for expedited service, and I really just wanted some good cheese and onion enchiladas. The delivery time was quick. Despite that, my food was cold.
