    Southwest ranch bowl
    Clarissa C.

I feel like for the longest time I hated salads, but that's only because I never put in good fresh ingredients. This place is a bit like Chipotle except the bowls are already prefixed. You can create your own bowl though! The person making my bowl was super cheerful, and the store is so bright and clean! This place was actually SO good it blew me away!! I had the southwest ranch bowl, which includes hot honey chicken, romaine, pickled onions, southwest salsa (tomatoes, corn, black beans, pico, cilantro), cheddar, and crumpled tortillas with a spicy ranch dressing. I barely out any dressing, and the fresh ingredients really spoke for themselves. I also added a scoop of avocado for $2, and substituted for half romaine half quinoa. The hot honey chicken was not your expected dry chicken, but it was soooo juicy and moist and seriously so good. Much better than sweetgreen or any other salad chain I've ever been to, and actually filling too! Everything was truly very fresh :)

Date of visit: August 1, 2025 Having given this place a whirl with a Yelp Elite event earlier in the summer, I was happy to return so quickly given that it's a decent walk from home and they have a nice little patio area. I went with the same thing I did last time, the Chicken Caesar Wrap (if it ain't broke...) and it was good though you do have to watch how you hold it, of it will start to fall apart when you set it down to take a breather! Staff was friendly but it is still hard to hear them over the giant sneeze guards. Thinking maybe if there was a step up on the Forage side of the counter, their voices would carry over the guard instead of being muffled by it. The water available is a nice touch though it's not very cold and there's no ice (what is this, Europe?), and it's really the only option for me here as far as beverages go as kombucha is what they would serve in my own personal version of hell. Outside of the tepid water, my only issue here was that in the 90 minutes we were sitting out on the patio, no one ever came out to tidy up. We had to clean off our table before sitting down and the dish tray was close to overflowing.

I tried Forage thanks to a Yelp week event and I'm hooked! I ordered for dinner tonight and to have for lunch tomorrow! It's such a fresh and healthy meal but that same craving one might have for say burger and fries because the flavor is just so delicious!! I also ordered the Tepache again in Pineapple and this time they had Watermelon Lime available- such a yummy drink! The portions are wonderful and so filling!! I'm going to try the fiesta bowl tomorrow and ate the "make your own" tonight and kind of created my own version of the Club Med bowl with cauliflower and sweet potato added on! Unfortunately I ordered just before close so they were out of the "while supplies last" sourdough but noted to early sooner in the evening Highly recommend!

First time at a Forage Kitchen. Stopped in to get a salad. Love the idea of having a fresh salad bar where I can custom make the perfect salad combination. This location is on a nice corner. The interior has plenty of natural light from the large windows. There are cafe tables outside, under umbrellas. I arrived a little bit before noon, and was able to order right away. The staff person efficient, polite, but not especially friendly. I ordered the Local Roots salad, which is exactly that, root vegetables. I also ordered a can Tepache beverage. Didn't take very long to have it made up. It was a good portion. They offered a piece of sourdough bread too. Took it outside and enjoyed it under an umbrella on the outside patio. The salad was good, but not great. Couple of things that would have made it better (IMHO). The beets were a bit over cooked, and the roasted brussel sprouts were a bit undercooked. The addition of roasted fennel is excellent. The bread was a bit tasteless. A baguette would be a much better option. I'd come back and give it another try.

    Carrot Ginger Soup.

It seems this is a very popular place, as it was very busy when we ate there last Saturday noon. But I was disappointed. Probably my fault for expecting my quinoa, carrots, etc. to be warm. It was not. The curry was warm and was good, but truly I expected better for the whole meal. It also was a very noisy place. Lots of kitchen noises made it hard to converse. The soup was delicious though. If I came back again (doubtful) I would only have soup.

loved loved loved forage kitchen! had 30min between appointments and was so happy to end up here, a fresh quality meal but also fast. was super impressed by the variety of the menu. spring roll bowl was delicious, loved the cold soba noodles, the Thai peanut sauce & the Japanese meatballs. staff was so friendly & helpful for me as a newbie. enjoyed a table in their outdoor patio to be able to people watch whitefish bay. protip -- get the app & you'll get a $5 off promo!

Forage Kitchen is one of my go-to's for a quick and healthy lunch! I love their menu options and the ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. The staff is friendly and the line moves pretty quickly, even when they're packed! I like the indoor and outdoor seating and the bathrooms are AWESOME! I don't usually comment about bathrooms in my reviews, but my mother is disabled and relies on a walker, and the bathrooms are huge and single-stalls. I also like that the bathrooms have a table to rest my stuff on. Very convenient! And always clean.

I liked Forage! I appreciated the healthier options! The curry was very flavorful and comforting.

Club Med Bowl (New Tzatziki Dressing)
    Drk M.

Today in my Club Med Bowl I found tiny pieces of plastic. I always chew my food thoroughly and yet I wonder how many I've swallowed already... Sadly this isn't just a forage issue it's all fast food unfortunately. We do this for convenience but whose convenience is this really for. I've been eating at forage for a while I am even a rewards member, part of that paid for this meal. Sadly that must all come to an end. Posting for visibility and awareness

I was excited to hear about this place--a place with healthy and fresh food and was excited to give it a try. We ordered a few bowls to go a few weeks ago. I ordered the Thai Bowl with chicken. It comes with sweet potatoes, cabbage slaw, lentils, guacamole, black rice. It was average, and a little on the salty side. The curry was on the bottom and there wasn't enough of it (you can see it below the slice of bread) and not many carrots (see the photo). I was happy with the quantity of the chicken but it was a little on the dry side. I can't speak to the service or ambiance as we took our order to go. I was a little disappointed with the bowl but I'd be willing to give it another try or have another kind of bowl.

There are tables and chairs, but it's tight and when it got busy with people coming to pick up their lunch, would feel weird sitting down to eat. Previous review stands (3/25/2022) This is another happy review. I'm happy to report that the burgers have improved significantly since my last review 4 years ago. Korean BBQThey toned down on the shredded cabbage and the sauce in the korean bbq burger. Everything balanced out much better than what I remember, and I could actually taste the kimchi inside this time. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, and travelled well in our to-go order. Soft Shell CrabThey put two whole deep fried soft shell crabs in one burger. Topped off with a lot of arugula, bacon and tomatoes. It was good, but not quite as balanced out as the Korean BBQ burger. I'm not quite sure what it is... Lacking some sauce?Overall, the place had some great burgers and I would definitely go back more often that I have recently. But there's a little bit missing still to give it a whopping 5 star review. Plus the buns were really bready... a little less dough would have been nice. And on the downside... the fries weren't awesome. They were ok. But felt more like baked fries than deep fried. In any case, I love improvements and having great joints in my neighborhood. Thank you Crave Cafe!

It's vintage and has that diner feel but maintains its modern effects especially with the Riverwest neighborhood. I ordered a bloody mary which was amazing!! I can be pretty particular when it comes to my bloody's but this was the perfect flavor, spiciness, and the garnishes were super fun. As I said before I was super hungry so I got their dream burger with fries. It was a patty with tomato, onion, lettuce, and cheese. When it came out my eyes popped out of my head cause holy cow was that thing HUGE! I could only eat half of it and I took the rest to-go. It was super juicy and flavorful. The fries were crispy and perfectly salty, it was hard to stop eating them. We also ordered french toast for the table which was just as delicious. It was made with some sort of sourdough bread so it was nice and fluffy. There was a raspberry compote that made it nice and refreshing, and a sweet cinnamon butter to tie it all together. If I came in for breakfast this would be the perfect sweet meal to order. Our server was super nice and attentive, and made sure to check on us when needed and refilled our drinks if we asked. Street in Milwaukee. The Eleven25 location primarily sells hot or take-n-bake pizzas and fresh sandwiches. I think you'll currently get a better idea of their cooking skills from the food truck. The menu offers a handful of items, with most being seafood dishes, but there non-seafood options, as well as desserts. I enjoyed their lobster roll at the NEWaukee Night Market last summer, and recently LOVED their lamb gyro and crab cakes! They use actual lamb shoulder for the gyro instead of the strips of processed meat you typically get at a gyro joint. The lamb is tender and perfectly seasoned! The crab cakes are made with claw meat and they were perfectly crisp and delicious! I capped off the most recent meal with a slice of their key lime pie, and it exceeded my expectations. The pie crust is a bit fragile on the side, so it may detach from the pie filling when you get close to it, but the flavor and texture are right on! Now, I have their Mahi Mahi tacos and Reuben on my to-do list, based on the rave reviews I've seen on social media, but the menu changes often, so I hope I can keep up!

We weren't in the mood for full-dinner so instead shared the short rib medallions from the apps list. Those were tasty! Perfectly cooked braised short rib on top polenta medallions with bourbon-marinated peaches and cambozola cheese... what's not to love? We started with one server (who was really good) who took our order then we were handed off to another (who wasn't bad). When we arrived we were one of two tables inside. There were three servers on the floor and two behind the bar which was adequate for the number of people dining. Our initial server apparently was working the reserved seating, but even still, the second server never checked on us after we received our food. Also, we didn't receive our entire order. We weren't charged for the food we didn't get, but had anyone stopped by to refill water or see if we wanted more drinks, we could have asked about the missing food.
