It was scenic, there's lots of different lakes that dot the area. It's really pretty. People come here for boating, swimming, and hiking up to the waterfalls. We booked same-day by phone, and received a confirmation email with instructions for after-hours self-checkin. Upon arrival, we picked up a personalized envelope containing a park map and rules, amenities key card, and directions to the assigned spot for our 40' RV. Lovely grounds with paved roads, concrete parking pads, and a landscaped picnic area for each site. If clean and spacious bathrooms matter to you, you'll love the ones here! We didn't stay to use the other resort amenities, though the pool area, social house and shaded path benches looked inviting. The 3 gals we came in contact with in the office were super nice. 2 nice large off leash parks we didn't use but the grounds have plenty of green grass areas and doggy pots. Now if you are gonna call yourselves Premier and Resort you definitely need to upgrade your cable and Wi-Fi. Though we did get many channels with our antenna. We also had good Verizon cell service so I didn't use the Wi-Fi. We will stay here again during a time when it's not 110 degrees.

Only down side was there was poison Ivy everywhere but otherwise it's a near perfect place to camp. They have bathrooms available for campers as well that are very well kept and drinking water faucets throughout the site. There are plenty of little trails that give you access to the water, however at this point in time it is very low so it's more of a rocky hill side. But the view is still beautiful and it's possible to walk along if you're careful. Recommend for anyone, families with children included!

This year, we and our camping buddies have decided we will not be returning. 1) The sites we were in, and those around us were not made for our size trailer (30'), or anything bigger. Not made for slides. The trailer in the site next to our friend's had its slide opened onto their site's picnic table. They were putting fifth wheels into small spaces with no room for the tow vehicle, so people were parking in the road. Also, absolutely no shade in our sites and there were continous power outages. 2) They have always been very dog friendly, and we have brought our dogs every time. This time, an employee (owner?) approached our site on foot, and one of our dogs barked twice. No growl, no snarl, just two barks. We were told that was not acceptable and the dog would have to be quiet, it might scare someone, and they could be sued. There were dogs barking all over the park. Wonder if they got a talking to as well. Too bad, we always enjoyed our visits to this KOA.

We stayed at site 11, and we loved it! Sites are spacious and clean. We had a wonderful time. The camp host, Dale was incredible. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a comfortable one. They even have little shows for the kids at the amphitheater! We saw some local animals and learned about them. Lots of posters on here complained about the train that goes though, and honestly it's not that bad at all. It would be if you stayed on that side of the campground, but it only went through once or twice a day. Not a big deal at all. Pros: Huge spacious sites Plenty of restrooms (1 with flushing toilets all others are non flushing) Clean facility Family friendly Great camp host Pet friendly! Cons- Lots of poison oak around the sites. You need to be VERY careful where you and your doggies go. Half of the sites back up to the lake (not accessible to the water. Huge cliff) and across there's a shoreline where lots of trailers park and love to Party till the wee hours of the night. And boy does that sound travel. We heard their music till about 4 am. Although that wasn't our campsites fault. They did call the sheriff for us. I would absolutely stay here agin!

Tunes roaring, 4WD working, and gas, break - dippin'! The map, that I only used once, when I took a challenging road was very helpful to have on-hand as it was my 1st time. Had cell service in most areas in case I needed AAA for being stupid in a no-stupid-zone. Packed a cooler with food n beverages and the day was absolutely great! Best time I've had in Redding so far. Excellent trails and booty bouncing roads! This is going to be my self-care go to spot from now on.

The laundry is very clean and relatively low cost. The park has a covered and uncovered picnic area behind the laundry next to the wading pool. They lack a shower/bathroom house. They have a dog park. You can recycle plastic bottles and cans in the laundry room.

During the process, Cheryl communicated with me and kept me up to date on my space availability as I was waiting on the official start date for my new job. She told me she was putting me on a cooler side of the park with trees and that would be very helpful when the summer heat starts kicking in. Paul was very patient with this newbie while I was backing my trailer onto the pad. The sites are very clean, and the grounds are well kept. My two dogs love the little dog park, and we feel safe going for walks within the RV park. We were advised by others we spoke to be careful of walking on the road outside the RV park, but so far, I haven't seen anything on the main street that has caused me concern. Security within the park itself is very good. It's not too far from where I work. I do feel a bit guilty that I work on weekends and leave rather early in the morning. Quiet hours are in place at that time, and I try my best to not to disturb anyone, but I know my coming out of the door and starting up the truck makes noise. I highly recommend this park to anyone passing through or staying as a long-term guest.
