An absolutely beautiful school with a well laid out curriculum and intense attention to detail. I knew I wanted to send my son here after touring dozens of pre-k's. This was the cleanest and safest ( private security ) option in Austin. The teachers genuinely care and the gym class/new inclosed playground is amazing for busy little bodies. The low student to teacher ratio is key, and they even bring in authors from the local book store for story time. Ashley is incredibly thoughtful and the care and love that has gone into the school is visible from day one. read more

There could never be words to describe how incredible Wonderwell is. Before having children, I used to think people who cared so much about preschool were silly. But now having two young kids, and knowing the importance of education at this important developmental stage, I know that there really is so much young children need to thrive. Wonderwell is not only the best preschool in Austin, but in the country in my opinion. My son went there for three years and my daughter for a year before we had to move out of state. Leaving this school was the hardest part. My son started when he was 2, he could barely speak and was SO shy. When we left, he was so confident, a true leader, and LOVED school. We have been at Wonderwell for 3 years with our eldest son, I wish they went through 8th grade because we love it so much. Our experience here will be hard to match anywhere else. Not only has he learned so much he has blossomed into a confident little boy who loves going to school everyday. Their teaching style focuses on engaging the children through play while learning more than whats expected and fostering independence. Not only did we love our teachers whom they spend every day with for 10 months the administrative staff and security go above and beyond daily to ensure the school is run effectively and in a safe way. We would look forward to all the events that included and engaged parents, international week was our favorite. I could go on for days about Wonderwell and what an amazing school it is! If you are looking for a Reggio Preschool where your child will have zest for life, love, joy, confidence, kindness, and a love for learning daily, this is the place. We have been attending WonderWell for over a year, and it has truly been one of the best decisions we have made as parents. I have watched my child develop in the most exceptional ways since beginning at WonderWell. If you ask him directly what he thinks of his school, he would tell you "WonderWell is a very special place filled with kindness" and I could not agree more. I have a wealth of experience owning and even more reviewing and consulting with preschools across Texas and California. So you can imagine how selective I was in finding a place for my 2 year old son. My son is a handful and it is hard to win him over. It was evident to my husband and I the moment we walked into WonderWell that this was an excellent environment for our 4 year old son. Our son is thriving daily and they foster his abilities and encourage his growth through exploration, wonder and play. What I love most, the relationships: seeing the students really care for each other, being kind to one another. As a mom, that is all you want: For your child to remain a curious learner and to be kind. Parents, children and staff are all truly treated with dignity, respect and kindness which will reflect how my son will treat people as he grows. I love that parents have various opportunities to be involved and build our community of young learners. The staff loves teaching at this school. It shows. Great ambiance and energy. We are so fortunate to have found them. My son's occupational therapist visits the school and commented to me that she has never seen a school like this, so many engaged happy kids. I love the founder, not only is she an absolute sweetheart and runs an exceptional school, she is truly understanding and patient with all of the parents and children, she's the rock of the school. Bonus: she is totally into design (as am I) so everything is beautifully presented and carefully thought out. From the architecture of the building, the interior design, color scheme, lighting, the landscape and play-area design, every single detail of the school is beyond inspiring. It gives me chills thinking of how they poured their souls building this school. My son's teachers are the kindest, calming and loving teachers ever. The founder and her administrative team vets all staff and I am impressed by their keen skills in screening teachers that are passionate, kind and truly want to inspire curious learners. The teachers were handpicked out of many to offer up the best! The teachers are also very patient and understanding of the developmental stages of the children and are able to use individual approach for each child. The staff are continuously studying which enhances their love for learning as they pass this along to our young learners. The low class sizes really allow the teachers to get to know each child and his/her interests and abilities. The quality of the art material and instruction is extremely rare to find in a preschool setting. Their method - Reggio Emilia is age appropriate and inspiring, probably the only true Reggio preschool in all of Austin. Our daughter went to WonderWell for 4 years and we loved every moment of her educational journey. The school is a wonderful community, for the children, the parents and the teaching staff. We transferred for 6 months to another school that was closer to our home and very well reviewed but our daughter started to say she didn't want to go to school and her mood completely changed. We were lucky enough to get back into WonderWell and instantly, the light returned and the love for school returned. Our daughter just graduated from WonderWell and we, along with all the kindergarten parents, were so emotional to be leaving the halls where we all had grown closer. We are a newly relocated family from Manhattan (TriBeCa) with a little four and a half year-old boy who has spent two years in a private preschool, prior to our arrival in Austin. We were eager to find a place where our son could continue to grow, develop, and be in the presence of teachers who cared about every aspect of his well-being. We had such a tremendously positive experience in Manhattan and thought it would be nearly impossible to find a preschool that could provide him with the type of dedicated instruction that he was used to. That is -- until we found WonderWell. Our little boy has grown more over the past three weeks than any other three-week period in his entire life. He is spelling, singing, creating, loving, and most of all... THRILLED to go to school! WonderWell is hands down the most impressive preschool I have visited or been a part of and that includes the many schools we toured and interviewed with in Manhattan. Before our move to Austin, our son was attending one of the best preschools in Manhattan and we were hoping to find something similar in Austin. Wonderwell by far exceeded our expectations! The school has amazing facilities, extraordinarily warm and engaged teachers, and a strong Reggio Emilia teaching philosophy. Currently, we have two children in the 2s and 4s programs and all teachers in both of their classes are absolutely fantastic. They tend to each child's emotional, social, and educational needs with patience and care. Our kids thrive at Wonderwell and are extremely happy when I pick them up - so much so that they don't want to leave! Another feature that we find exceptional is the blog and photo app, which is posted every day. Parents can read a full description of what their child learned throughout the day, and it also includes pictures and videos. I find this extremely helpful in conversing with my kids at the end of each day. I also love seeing what the class is up to. The school founder and director Ashely is doing an amazing job running the school. She truly cares about her students and their families, teachers, and staff making it a perfect environment for everyone. read more

I only wish there were more stars to give! Wonderwell has exceeded my wildest expectations and I am so thankful we found this amazing school and community. When my husband and I made the decision to send our girls there in August of 2020 (we hadn't planned or budgeted for private school that year, but no one planned for a worldwide pandemic either), we really felt that having them be in person with their teachers and classmates was critical to their social, emotional and academic growth and that it would be worth it to change gears and send them to Wonderwell.  Wow, were we right! The teachers and staff are so hands-on and caring and truly treated us like part of the family. I will forever be grateful that when we look back on this crazy year I will know we made the best decision for our girls' future. Wonderwell was a safe haven where they could learn and grow and be normal kids despite the pandemic and real time experiments in remote learning and educational philosophy taking place everywhere else around us. I am so at peace knowing my daughters are well prepared for elementary school next year and have a strong foundation to set them up for success as they continue their education. In addition to word stretches and science experiments, they also learned how to be flexible, inclusive and KIND to one another.  I couldn't ask for more. On this day one year ago, Ashley Reinhardt opened the WonderWell doors.....I am so grateful that she embarked on this journey and saw a void in the education system and decided to take the appropriate steps to open a school that allows children to learn in a fun, thoughtful and positive energy environment! I'm not much of a critic/reviewer of anything but Wonderwell makes me want to scream to the world just how amazing it is! I don't think I've ever felt so light about leaving my child anywhere the way I do when I leave him at this school. The owner/founder, Ashley Reinhardt has poured her soul and her whole heart into Wonderwell; it's evident in every single detail. This school is so carefully and tenderly crafted with genuine nurturing, education, well-being and safety for the children in mind. In this day and age when so much is cookie-cutter, half-hearted and corporate -- this school is such a refreshing change of pace. There is individuality, there is great care and there is extreme humility in the way that it's run. This place is just special and it's the kind of school every parent would want for their child. My son asked me to leave him at school longer because he loves it that much! He skips so happily through the hall ways of this school because there's such a sense of protection and security there that even a five year old can perceive it. I cannot begin to describe how amazing this school is. After touring nearly every single highly rated pre-school in Austin (and I mean every.single.one from Round Rock to south Austin) and actually attending 3 different schools, WonderWell stands out above the rest immeasurably. At first glance, what really stands out is the facility itself. It truly is unique and revolutionary. The facility actually looks and feels like what the pictures on the website show, there's no real estate photographer trickery here. The classrooms, just like the rest of the building, are large, bright, airy, cheerful, and just conducive to learning and happiness. When I was first looking for a pre-school, safety was my number one priority, and WonderWell makes it it's number one priority as well. It has two sets of secured doors, an officer on duty, visitor check-in procedures, and child pick-up and drop-off procedures, just to name a few. Also, these safety processes are actually followed, and aren't just for show. Quite frankly, I would have been ecstatic at just that, the safety and the beautiful facility, especially after having to set such low expectations touring and attending other pre-schools. But it doesn't stop there. The administration, staff, and teachers are responsive, caring, and talented. The administration is the best that you'll find anywhere, public or private. I have found both teachers and administration to be truly invested in the education and well-being of each child there. The curriculum that is taught is interesting, interactive, and engaging. The activities that the staff here come up with to teach their lessons are truly inventive and my child loves it because it's fun and potentially messy, and I love it because they can do the messy, fun stuff at school. If all that wasn't enough, it's clean. For a self-proclaimed germaphobe, that's important. Another bonus, the daily updates, pictures, and video you get are just amazing and the best part of my day. My only regret is that my older child didn't go here (it wasn't open yet), especially when my pre-kindergartner dreams about class, bounds out of bed talking about WonderWell, and sings these catchy alphabet songs (that get stuck in your head ALL day long), with such joy. And having this be her first school experience, I consider it a hands down win. This school really will make you wish you were a pre-schooler again, just so you could attend. read more
