I was in LJ a few days and went to Amorah for acupuncture for neck pain. As I've had a wonderful experience w/ a Chinese doctor at home, I was excited to pursue treatment during my stay. I paid for 3 one hour visits. Amorah had a pleasant healing persona our first visit, the 2nd visit was rushed and I spent 15" of my time on a "healing crystal" mat, then was out in 30" as she had several other clients in her waiting area. I asked her about that and she said "each session is exactly the right time". She was a little distant during our last session, no doubt due to me calling her out on my prior shortened visit. Despite it all was pleasant. Finally it turned out she had overcharged me and it took some back and forth to get a refund which she finally admitted she hadn't added up correctly. She still ended up still shorting me several dollars as the amount she refunded was a "spiritual number. " Ultimately the stress of interacting w/ her countered any healing I had received and I won't be back. read more

I've been seeing Amorah for a few years. She can always sense exactly what I need. Whether I go in with knee pain, hip pain, or just some emotional stress I could use a break from, Amorah's got a needle or a cup that can help me. I had a recent experience with Amorah where I entered her office with screaming knee pain, for which I was wearing a brace to control the pain. I left with absolutely NO PAIN. I even went for a 2 mile walk the next day and could not get over that my pain was gone. It was like Amorah sent my knee pain on vacation! Unreal! I don't even really understand what all is encompassed in acupuncture, but the process is really relaxing. Amorah has 3 treatment rooms indoors and a really comfy outdoor room to meet your needs. Each treatment room's bed is mad of different materials and is designed to help just by the material the ned is made of. It's so relaxing, actually. You are in a room on a cozy bed (I prefer the stone bed) and Amorah checks in about what you may need. As you respond, she begins the process of adding needles to various parts of your body. You hardly feel them. After you are all set up, she sets the environment with a choice of some music or white noise and she lets you stay by yourself, with the needles in you, for about 20 -30 mins. That time is so relaxing. You can't move, due to the needles sticking out of you, so you are forced to just embrace the calm. That's not my preferred state of being, so it really feels good. Amorah is a healer, who just happens to be a gifted acupuncturist. Her manner and suite of rooms are peaceful and relaxing.
