My wife had lower back surgery which went as planned with no complications. This just happened yesterday so she is definitely in the recovery stage at the moment. Back surgery is a very traumatic event no matter what type it is and Dr McPherson and Chris did a great job prior to the surgery explaining everything. There is little for me to say about the surgery itself but I can certainly comment on the recovery at the OCC Surgery Center next door to Peak. The admissions staff was welcoming, very professional and courteous. The bigger story was the pre op and post nurses, Ricky and Lindsey. It was their job to make my wife as comfortable and at ease as possible considering what she was having done. Ricky was with her from both pre op to post op and Lindsey finished off her stay in recovery. Caring is the first word that comes to mind closely followed by professional and simply knew their stuff! This was a difficult experience for my wife to handle and they helped every step of the way. There are not enough words to express her gratitude to the fullest! Thank you and yes, if you need to go this direction we highly recommend Dr. Hugh McPherson, Chris, his staff and the team at the OCC Surgery Center! However, I was able to get an assessment of several radiologists - the consensus opinion was that at best, the difference was 1/8th of an inch. Most people go through life not knowing that one leg may be up to an inch longer than the other. So a maximum difference is a bulls eye. I deleted my initial comment once I got a good report. Loucks is an outstanding surgeon.

I am very disappointed in the "care" I received from Dr. Loucks. I did not get to see him until 3…read moremonths after going through their series of shots for knee pain. I was then allowed to get an MRI. I had to wait an additional 3 weeks for an appointment with Dr. Loucks at which time he spent all of 10 minutes with me telling me I had been walking around on a broken femur.. I am still having pain. I had to pursue what kind of exercise I could do. The only thing he offered was to get treated for osteoporosis.

They treat both of my children like they're the only kids they've seen in months. Ms. Barbara at the front desk is a total gem, along with the sweet radiology tech. We absolutely adore Dr. Wilson. Our pediatrician (whose office is in the same building…read moreas well) referred us to this facility for a simple x-ray and our bill, after insurance, came to $288! Ridiculous! On top of that, because it is owned by CU Medicine, we were charged another $40 for a facility fee! Other radiology centers in the area charge $50/x-ray with insurance and no extra facility fee! In my opinion, it is definitely not worth the convenience.
