They were not only kind enough to take me but the Doctor was extremely professional, kind and attentive. Also, did not have to wait long. Doctor gave me a tetanus shot and a prescription for antibiotics. If only all Doctors were this caring we wouldn't have as many Ill people. I definitely recommend.

I needed refills, and she went on & on as if she was investigator or psychiatrist. She didn't stop at asking what was my stress lately but was asking very weird questions as if she wanted to induce specific answers. I told her about harassment & discrimination by York University staff as a retaliation after I pointed out on their unethical hiring, unethical practices, & mistreatment of PhD students at the PhD in HRM. Then, she tried to convince me I need to see a psychiatrist for telling her that which gaslighting resembles the York U staff when a students points out on wrongdoings as they can't stand criticism. She said that she watches a TV show (Love & B....).. to diagnose people with disorders. Yet, she mentioned some concepts & it was clear to me she doesn't know much from that filed. She seemed confused as if she is a psychiatrist when it was clear from her comments that she doesn't even know basic stuff about some disorders (I have a degree in Psych & studied Abnormal Psych). She said she will only give me refills for two weeks & I must see her again to see if she needs to send me to a psychiatrist. This reminded me of the time in history when women were sent in asylum because someone was prejudiced or didn't like them. I have never had such experience with a medical doctor before. She was very professional & her (mis)conduct) disturbing. Her God syndrome that she is knowledgeable in psychiatry when she is not - says that she needs re-evaluation (she is older with all white hair).

I also really love the kiosk check in option as it's a more confidential way of informing the receptionist the reason for your visit. I was referred to Dr. Alexis by our family doctor to discuss treatment for my skin cancer. I promptly received a confirmation in writing for an appointment on Sept 4th. I called to asked if there was an opportunity to come in sooner and I immediately received a call back informing me that Dr. Alexis would see my, on July 2nd. Arriving at Kingsway Dermatology and Cosmetic Centre offices the team greeted me professionally and made me feel very comfortable, assisting me in completing some forms and offering me refreshments. I was asked a few questions and invited to have a seat. Within a few minutes, I was escorted to an examination room to meet Dr. Alexis, in privacy to discuss my concerns and condition. Dr. Alexis was so very kind in her approach and made me feel very comfortable and assured that she could help me resolve this skin cancer problem. I immediately received an initial treatment and together we decided on an appropriated time to begin further treatments as soon as possible, considering the time of year and my work schedule. This whole experience was professional, comfortable, efficient, respectful and reassuring to me, that Dr. Alexis will assist me in getting through this as soon as possible. In my current role, one of my key responsibilities is delivering and ensuring my team provides outstanding customer experiences with every client every day. I would never write a comment however, her attitude and she herself was so unhelpful that I was compelled to write. I had to prompt her for information. Beware that I have read comments on other message boards commenting on the unfriendly atmosphere at the front of the office. It's a shame since the doctors are terrific.

Anyway, I saw Dr Ibrahim. I went to the pharmacy in the evening but it turns out the drug prescribed was not available in Canada (how does a Canadian doctor not know that?) The clinic would not fax an updated version of the drug to the pharmacy. They said it would take 48 hours (which I couldnt wait obviously). In the end I had to go to a different clinic to update the prescription.

Seriously, they never ever pick up the phone, and there is no voice mail. But hey it is 2026 and that's how the world works. Or doesn't. We have gone from longing for the days when physicians actually looked up from their screens and examined you, to remembering when their receptionists picked up their phone. I am sure they are all engaged in some meaningful activity...it just doesn't include patients. The doctor I see is sometimes good, sometimes inconsiderate, always distracted. Never follows up on concerns but he does refill the meds you may or may not need. Ontario health care is a car wreck... Pharmacists here are actually quite good and thorough. Usually.
