It took a couple dives into the internet to discover it is really a historic grocery restored and occupied by HUM Grocery since 2021. It took a recommendation from Steve at the Charleston Tea Plantation to get us past the "unassuming" front door ... which is why I'm writing this. Nice little shop full of "stuff"'... but the bell ringer for us was the BBQ. Being Virginians we poo-poo the mustard based SC sauce ... but this was truly awesome.

They have a little coffee shop, an area for baked goods, spices, jams, and other artesian goods. Everything is REALLY good too. I ended up getting a berry tart, 2 large ciders, and a jar of preserves - all for about $50. I thought this was a great deal, especially for how large the ciders were (this is the larger sized cider, they have a smaller one as well. The employees were also super kind and helpful, and the entire shop felt cozy. They also had outdoor seating in a covered porch and a small lawn.

On any occasion that I do shop at this location their prices on shrimp and salmon are some of the most competitive in the area. I can buy 2 48 oz tubes for less than $11.00 in the grocery stores! Why would I pay that much for single scoop cones? Then I was charged a percentage to use a credit card. THIS IS THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS! This practice MUST be stopped in SC! It is nothing more than scamming from the consumer! I'm moving to this neighborhood soon, but I will not be patronizing this business again!
