I had already seen neurosurgeons and doctors, and I was told that my options were surgery, burning the nerves, or learning to live with chronic pain. I am 50 years old, and at that point my world felt like it had completely fallen apart. I could not bend, drive, walk normally, sit, or stand without severe pain.
