The popcorn ceilings were tenuously hanging on and needed to be sprayed instead of rolled. The trim work hadn't been touched in at least a decade, and more than one room was going from a very dark color to white. Not a task for the faint of heart. I knew I found my guys when they also suggested painting the kitchen cabinets. I hadn't even considered that option (they even helped pick out the paint color). The furniture restoration was a big undertaking, and we really wanted to work with the right restoration business since the furniture has sentimental meaning to me. Mr. & Mr. took a thorough look at the pieces before giving us an estimate and proposed timeline to complete the project. They were great communicators and took care to understood our needs - we wanted the furniture to look nice again without losing the character and charm it has gained over the last 60 years. Over the course of the project, they continued to be communicative, sharing frequent updates with us along the way. In the end, the furniture was completed on time, within the bounds of their original estimate, and looks absolutely amazing. We are so happy with the quality of their work and we felt like they were just as enthusiastic about our beloved furniture pieces as we are! Since they did such a good job with our furniture, we were happy to hire them again when we needed our apartment painted in preparation for new tenants. Our building is old and has plaster walls with a lot of cracks, so we didn't feel like we could DIY :) Again, they did a great job, recommending paint colors that would lighten up our space and coming by with swatches for us to test out. Once we chose the color we liked best, they did an awesome job making our walls look great. Again, they were communicative, on-time, and on-budget, and they even touched up a few areas of trim and our building's common hallway that weren't a part of our original request. We will definitely work with Mr. & Mr. again whenever we have painting or furniture needs--and would recommend them without any reservations. They're the best!
