Starting off a cleaning with a hand paraffin treatment? Yup! The clinic is absolutely as technically advanced as it could be - with all the newest and greatest to make sure you're comfortable during you're visit. The dentist was able to immediately treat some problems that have been bothering me for years, and other dentists said there was nothing they could do to help (solution: fillings on the outside of my teeth where gums had receded and roots of teeth started chipping causing tons of sensitivity and discomfort). The dentist was kind and empathetic, and took care of my needs (even though I had not complained about anything - she was experienced and knowledgeable enough to know what had to be done just by examining). I really appreciate that she took photos of my teeth to after show me what was treated, and what we can do going forward to make sure my teeth and gums stay healthy. The clinic really goes above and calls after the appointment to make sure you're feeling good and see if there are any other concerns. I've never had this kind of experience from a dentist office. When I called initially to inquire about registering as a new patient, Chau was very nice and understanding on the phone, answering any questions I may have, and following up with me to ensure that all my insurance documents and forms will be set before my appointment. There is a New Patient Form on their website that you just have to complete before the appointment to save time. When I arrived at their office for my appointment, I immediately noticed the cleanliness and neatness of the place. There's Nintendo Wii and Xbox stations for kids, large TV, lots of seating at the waiting room, good lighting, really great set-up over-all, a very welcoming atmosphere. Just about 3 minutes after I arrive for my 10AM appointment, I was then greeted by Daisy, a dental hygienist. She asked me first of all if I have any immediate concerns with my dental health, and the main reason for my visit. I told her I do want to register, and that I have not gone to the dentist in at least 8 years.. yikes! During the comprehensive exam, before Daisy proceeded with each test, she would explain to me the process first, and what needs to be done. After showing me the results of my photos and x-rays, she gave me advice on how to maintain good dental health, and also what procedures I had to go through to fix some very few issues with my teeth. Oh, and here's the best part. There are 2 TVs in the room! One on the wall for when you're sitting up, and one on the ceiling right in front of you for when you're laying down, so you can watch TV and distract yourself during cleaning or any procedure they are doing. The whole time I was holding the remote control... nice.. well, in my opinion that distracted me and made me feel a little less crazy and distracted from all the drilling I can hear. Dr. Daniel dropped by for a few minutes, introduced himself, again made me feel comfortable and ran some quick checks as well. He has a very soothing voice and a very friendly smile, again making me feel calm. After the appointment, I was given a bag of goodies.. YAY! I have another appointment coming up in a week, and I am sure it will be as great as this one! I highly recommend ForestBrook Dental. I already convinced my husband to sign-up as well. This is a huge bonus for families. To start, you are entered into their system and given a tour of the dental office. It is the most modern and clean dental clinic I have ever visited. Dr. Novin was very calm, polite and educational as to what needed to be done and believe me there was extensive work to be done. We discussed the past and the potential of a beautiful smile. I knew this was the place for me! The staff here are amazing!! They are soo kind and sensitive to your needs…read more Even just the consultation, they were very gentle with me when I explain how freaked out I got after my last experience with the dentist. Anyway, there are three types of sedations a sleeping pill, laughing gas and IV sedation. I took all three. I was going get a few Cavities filled. I arrived and they gave me the pill and then I waited about 20 minutes and then a nurse came and brought me into a room. I was still not sedated, and nervous about the IV, so she gave me laughing gas. She asked me if i wanted more or less. But I was quickly feeling its effect and did not need more. Then as she was getting ready to put the IV in, she was talking me through it. I hardly felt a thing, they didnt start IV until the doctor came in the room. Once they did I could really feel it and everything after that I do not remember. I barley remember waking up and stumbling out of there. My Mom came to pick me up and take me home. My thoughts coming after the sedation... It was not cheap! But I did not feel a thing, my Mouth is a little sore now though. Opening it is sore, and I suspect it will be that way for a couple days but worth it. I hate being awake and hearing the drill go on my teeth.
