The location was a little hard to find, but all of the local businesses were friendly and showed me the way. I was very happy to find them still working after having taken the proper precautions. Uma, the instructor had decided to give one-on-one classes for all who needed it. I was able to make an appointment right away. She was kind, knowledgeable and thorough. She took the time to explain everything to me in as much detail as I wanted. Allowing me to ask questions and providing useful information in a very personable and friendly manner. The time seemed to fly by in her class, which may be due to how funny the instructor was. Uma also gave me tips to navigate the DMV process and system. She told me I could contact her in the future if I had any need for advice. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend the Defensive Driving Academy.

I signed up for my…read moredaughter, the first couple days she was out with the instructor for 1.5 hours and then the last 2 days she came home from driving less than 45 mins (when they suppose to be with the instructor driving for 1.5 hours). On the 7th day was the test. He failed her bc she couldn't park straight? He wanted me to pay $45 for her to retake the test and that's not a problem with me, but when you try to contact him for rescheduling, he will not respond at all. My daughter called him on Thursday (2/20/20) to see when he is available for testing, he said "this weekend" and now it's 2/26/20 and he didn't even text/ call my daughter about the retake. Very unprofessional and RUDE!!!!! I have tried to call/text him so many time and he refused to answer the phone or return my text. I paid $235 and got nothing with this instructor. When you try to talk to him over the phone, he will talk over you. If I can give this school a zero star, I would. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY& TIME WITH THIS INSTRUCTOR.

I'm 20 years old getting first time experience being on the road outside of the parking lot, after day 2 of instruction I felt very comfortable behind the wheel. Not only have 3 members of my family been students of Mr. Tibbs but all of them have become very good drivers. I also commend his patience and kindness as an instructor, no matter how many phone calls and inquiries he received while with other students, he always answered any questions potential students had and was flexible with their schedules while still being attentive to the driver behind the wheel and helping them. He is very understanding, gives great tips for being on the road, and makes you feel comfortable as if this is your own car. I highly recommend, I hope his services are around in the area for many years to come.
