I needed a small, 12 page story book printed. The man, who I assume is the owner as he was the only person there who wasn't a teen and seemingly the only one working, assured me this could be done easily within a couple of days. I made sure he had my phone number and forwarded the content to him via email and he assured me I could pick it up on Friday. I came in Friday and he told me "oh, I couldn't do it" Stunned I asked "Why not?" He explained the way the slides were laid out, he couldn't print them in order. I said, trying to hide my frustration, "I wish you would have called me. I could have adjusted it for you." He replied, " I couldn't find your number. Mind you, he had my email because the content was sent to him via email but whatever. I tried to adjust the layout on the computer in the shop, but while I was trying, he figured it out. That to me meant if he had spent a few minutes trying to figure it out while doing the job, he could have completed the job. Now he assured me I could pick it up on Monday. I called before I got there because they close at 5 and it was 4:30 and I was just getting to the commuter lot. I wanted to make sure he knew I was still coming to pick it up. Good thing I called because when I got there at 4:45, he was just printing it. It was almost like he heard my message and thought, crap I better do that now. When I finished he gave me this poorly laid out book and the whole book is out of order. The last page is the first page. A simple two minute read through or at least comparison with what I provided would have made it obvious this was out of order. Annoyed, but still being too pleasant, I told him it was out of order. He put the pages in order and printed it again. This time it was in order but it just looks stupid. There is a cover image with a blank page right next to it. (See photo) as a professional printer, I would have been embarrassed to present this to a customer. Now I don't have time to get this reprinted and I'm stuck with 5 copies of a book I'm embarrassed to present to anyone.. In all of the errors and communication failures, not once did he apologize or express a single ounce of remorse for this poor service. This job was handled so poorly, I felt disrespected. The man I spoke to from this business is such a kind individual. A few days ago our dog passed away which was hard for our family. I got a picture made up of him that we wanted to print off and called in to see if he could print it. A lot of times small orders like mine don't make sense for shops to do because there are little to no margin but when I told him what it was for he did it for me without hesitation and within an hour. Small acts of kindness mean a lot and for my family it was huge. Contacted twice the first time never received anything back which I understand a small business can get busy. Contacted a second time and was asked specifications for what I wanted printed I provided all the details and never heard anything back. Over all feel like my time was wasted and am better off going somewhere else. I can't speak on quality because I never received a product but customer service is not there. read more
