My cousins were visiting from out of town, a couple of them even came all the way from the Middle East! They wanted to eat Kapampangan food, so naturally, I brought them here. Before entering, we had to show them our Covid vaccine certificates then we were led to a long table that would accommodate our big group. Dining is al fresco so no air con, just fans. We excitedly ordered the following: - Mango shake was good - Pinapaitang Kambing - goat in bile soup. I'm not a fan of pinapaitan in the first place; but my Ilocano dad would love this. Much better with a squeeze of kalamansi. - Kamaru - mole crickets. The crickets still had some crunch to them and were cooked in a delicious garlic soy based sauce. This was everyone's favorite dish. - Betute - field frogs stuffed with minced pork and deep fried. I didn't try this. - Fried Hito (catfish) with buru (fermented rice) - loved the catfish but didn't like the buru. - Pork sisig was ok. - Leche Flan was ok - Turon with home made buko ice cream was DELISH!!!!! The wait staff were dressed as safari guides. They were knowledgeable of their menu, which made ordering easier. After we enjoyed our meal, we walked over to The Paris Cafe to take pictures in front of a replica of the Eiffel tower. The Wooden Table and Cafe BOM are also located in the same compound.
