They weren't available when my husband died and I had to find another priest who would say the rosary at the funeral home so there was no mass for him. I was in that parish since its conception and now I feel like an outsider looking in. I need to find a church who puts Jesus first shows kindnesses to all its perisioner. I don't have much money and work full time at 73 supporting 4 others in my family. I need peace and I want to worship where I know God is first.

But I've now seen two priests celebrate Mass here, and both are charismatic and really excite everyone. And the attendance at Mass really shows how far they are reaching. At the 10:30 Sunday Mass, there is standing room only. We arrived at 10:30, and people lined the walls on all sides of the Church. Fortunately, ushers were working tirelessly to find us seats, which they did, near the front. In a time of New Evangelization, this Church really has it going on.

They aren't overly religious with their curriculum, which is important to be because I am not a Christian. A year or so ago I had a conversation with the pastor about not believing and how I would never attend services. He said " Thank you for feeling comfortable leaving your kids here." Everyone is always so nice and I am not preached to. The church really wants their space to be open to the community and I like that. They have an open gym To let kids play and another play area as well as a coffee shop.

Located in a safe area of Lenexa and operating out of a refurbished strip mall, Nexus church has…read morethe Holy Spirit in spades! That's right, all are welcome in this house of God but I warn you, this church runs hot for the Lord! As for those who are timid about a new church, the people at Nexus are extremely kind and respectful while eager to welcome you. Walking in all people are welcomed by one of the many ushers. If you have kids, there's a person who'll direct you to a location to sign in via many security measures, ensuring your child is safe and only you can pick them up after the service. I used this service many times when my youngest daughter was going there and I had no issues while she loved it. Next up the lobby has lots of literature about who the church is and their core beliefs. Also there's a coffee station that also has morning delicacies like donuts! Further back is the main auditorium, which I'll address later. The church also has many small groups that meet at other times. Groups like men & women's groups, couples, kids, high school and on down the line. The effort is made to ensure people can always have someone to talk to in this crazy life we're living. I loved the mens group which met once a month b/c they had great breakfast foods brought in. Moreover, this church has a lot of events to partake in or volunteer whenever they arise. If you want, you'll make lifelong friends here. The auditorium is spacious and can get raucous for the lord when the spirit is driving the service. I recall my very first service didn't go 1 hour long, but 3 hours! I've lived all over the nation and Nexus has that down home, small fever pitched feel but one where everyone feels welcome. The band is very good and will always have some sort of song that touches the heartstrings. The screens are very large making the music easy to read and sing along too. Don't worry about singing offkey - you'll fit in with people like me! As for Evangelist Mark Purkey, he's extremely intelligent but won't sugar coat a message. In fact he'll make you look at things in a much, much different light. I rather liked the one series we did where he went through every verse of Revelation so we all gained a better understanding. My final thoughts is God is using Pastor Purkey for great things. When God selects his prophet, I suggest giving it a chance. Overall, Nexus is a life changing church and the facility itself has everything an individual or family needs for their spiritual journey. Moreover, the people are nice, the message is Devine and the coffee is hot. If you come, there will be instances where you forget about time and the holy spirit fills you up. Welcome to Nexus, you are home and God shows up.
