You pay electric, we use candles and natural lighting through windows and hardly use lights anyway. Amenities: range, microwave (in some units), fridge and good washer/dryer units. I have a 1 Bed and it is spacious. My fiancé and I are very happy here and our friends are quite jealous. The cost/benefit here is absolutely in your favor. Finally, my only demerit to give is the internet. This internet is called "Bloom" and it is the (in most cases) only available service. It is downright inhumane. $51 for 12 mbs, $41 for 3mbs. A speedtest will show less than 1mbs. So if you game a lot, watch netflix a lot or are addicted to porn, watch out, you may end spending more time "socializing" or reading books *shudders* Oh and TV is Dish network, don't have it, don't need it with an antenna and "internet" Overall, best option in town, there is a reason you will be on a waiting list. The newest property company , Trillium, has screwed the residents with the often closed pool facilities. The wonderful swimming pool that used to be kept in great condition is now a disaster. If I knew this is how Trillium management would handle the pool situation, I would've not renewed my lease.. Other than that, I have no problems . I like it here. After 12 years as a resident, I was informed at my renewal that my rent would increase by ~25% with notice being within the typical renewal timeframe. Because residents are required to provide 30-day notice if they plan to move, you're essentially forced to make a major financial and housing decision within a very short window. For someone renting, that may be difficult enough. For someone considering purchasing a home, it's nearly impossible. Buying a home isn't something that can realistically be completed in the timeframe given, and I was left with very little time to evaluate my options before having to commit. Options included a holdover at a substantial increase or renew and leave mid lease but pay a one month fee and give them 90 day notice. For me, this wasn't just about rent increasing--it was about how an increase of this magnitude was handled. After 12 years as a resident, I expected more consideration for the impact a 25% increase would have on someone's housing decisions and financial planning. I hope future residents have this information before deciding to call SkyRise home.

The location is great and it is not far from the downtown area, other grocery stores, or the mall. Maintenance fixes things the next day which is great because things break a lot. Electric is absolutely insane thanks to the poor construction of the buildings. Your heater is running 24/7 in the winter so get used to $400 electric bills in January. Biggest problem facing 58 west and the paddock is non college students taking up what is supposed to be college housing. Ruins it for the rest of us.

You're gonna have to get an internet plan. An employee commented on my roommates review saying simple to buy internet like everyone else and to stop complaining, and then ended up taunting him for complaining in the first place because it's "so easy to sign up for internet" and "it says no where in your lease that the internet was fast" well. We were told in person, we were told online. Last year our fridge broke down and our food went bad, they "fixed" it three times and then we said we wanted a replacement because we were tired of throwing away food. A girl in the office said "you're not just gonna get a new fridge" well no one paid to replace our groceries either... but hey maybe having things they told us we would have upon signing a lease are just all amenities and we should stop complaining. Save yourself the time... they need to look at the staff again. I signed here because of how friendly and accommodating they were at the beginning. That's gone down hill. Hopefully, moving forward, they correct that. A lot of their 5 star reviews on Facebook are actually from employees that work in the office :)
