I was in need of a new camera and have been eyeing the Nikon7500, so I went on Google to see if there were any camera stores around me and came across Woodward Camera. Upon arriving, I was helped right away by a wonderful gentlemen that showed me different Nikon models and lens. The sales rep took the time to answer all my questions and guide me while I was testing out the camera(s). I seen some folks saying that this place is a bit expensive, I've done months of research, the camera with lens was $500 cheaper than the other merchants asking prices. Fantastic help with a photo equipment issue. When I first arrived at the store, there was quite a line but fortunately, it went swiftly. To my surprise the person at the counter took time to answer my questions and suggested potential solutions, not just ones that involved their equipment either. My family has always come here for passport photos. This was my last visit because they wasted our time. I'm not sure why they close at 6 when they stop taking passport photos an hour before. It makes no sense considering it takes 10min (max) to get a passport photo. I came in around 5:10 and waited about 10min to be helped. Only to be told they won't take the picture. I ordered some pictures on line not knowing that there wouldn't be available until a couple days later. I went to get them and they explained but they went back and had them ready for me in about 20 minutes. They were fabulous. also I went in one other time because I couldn't get my camera to work correctly. TL, DR. Be careful when you drop the film off here, keep a log of what you drop off if you do not already. I would like to re-establish a relationship when the bugs are worked out of their processing department. 1.My experience would be the shop in it's processing department is unorganized to a critical level. This is also reflected in other reviews. I was comped I believe two rolls for processing, and when I got home found multiple comped rolls of film in my bag (thank you.) 2. Every roll I've dropped off I asked to be cut, of maybe 10 rolls not once has it been done. 2. Missing one roll of Kodak Pro Image. 3. Received two rolls of film I did not shoot. 4. Film supervisor Brandon(?) did feel concerned with my business but did not respect my boundaries via a phone conversation. 5. Excellent film selection. 6. Staff is pleasant and accomodating. Brought in precious old negatives to be digitized and make a few prints. Took two trips in to get them scanned to an adequate file size for my stated use. Then they forgot to give me back some of the negs. They called me much later having found them, but I couldn't get there during biz hours for a month. So they threw them away. I did not want to share my experience publicly, however Woodward Camera has sent me many automated requests to do so. Hence, I decided they deserve it. I trusted my slides, taken 20 years ago, to Woodward Camera for high resolution scanning. These slides are the only documentation I have of my very first body of work in my ongoing career as a contemporary artist. To say the least, these slides were of great important to me. The scans sent back were of poor quality, so I called to speak with the lab and discuss. The person who answered the phone told me to hold on while he transferred me to the lab technician. He must have forgot to press the mute button, so I was forced to listen to them mock me and make fun of my last name. Once the lab technician got on the phone, she seemed very annoyed that I had questions about my order. At that point, the lack of professionalism made me concerned with leaving the slides in their hands any longer. I went to pick up the slides at the store, they were misplaced, and they could not find them. When they finally found the slides, I took them out to examine them and there were finger prints and scratches all over the slides. The experience was so unsettling that I could not talk about it for some time. As I mentioned, I keep receiving automatic emails from Woodward Camera asking for a review, so here is my firsthand experience. It is unfortunate because they used to be very professional and trustworthy, however after this experience, I will never go there or recommend them again. read more

This is my place to go to every time I need to get photo prints. Being a professional photographer and graphic designer myself, I can be demanding with the quality of prints, and Woodward Camera never disappoints in the matter. However (and since I always order 5x7's) they used to get my orders ready within a day and for some reason, since a few months ago, they take an extra day or two now. I always wonder why. I really enjoyed spending time in this shop and talking to the staff. All the staff members here are super knowledgeable about everything they sell and the types of camera and lenses that are best used for whatever medium you are interested or focused on. I came here and got educated, more so than when I arrive, learned more about the lighting and aperture and every aspect of the camera. They really took the time to show me how to properly use my one Canon camera and explain some of the different lenses and what they're used for. They also showed me some of the abilities of my camera as well, that I wasn't certain of. I also once took a lesson here for an hour session, it was a ad hoc camera class that they did on a weekend. Not sure if they still do these types of classes. It was very helpful. I feel this is a place where serious photographers go to get their photography equipment. read more
