Chris was the only one who showed up with all the information he would need ahead of time. He knew, which I did not, that the existing deck never had a building permit nor was it to code. It was much too close to the property line. He didn't take any measurements or really discuss what I wanted done. He was concerned with making sure I could do anything at all considering all the existing problems with the original deck. He contacted the town and it ended up that for $50.00 I could get a variance if I brought the deck one foot further away from the property line then the original one was, which I was very happy with. He came back and went over materials and measurements. His estimate was right in line with the other estimates and considering how prepared and knowledgeable he was when he came out; I wasn't going with anyone else. They started the deck on a Monday and worked between raindrops. It took a day to demolish and the rest of the week to lay the foundation. On the following Monday the inspector came and approved the foundation and they finished it that week. It is beautiful. Exactly what I wanted and not one penny more than the price he gave me. No hidden charges. His team was great and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him for your projects.

We were impressed by his workmanship, versatility, and willingness to problem solve (for instance took ideas we had on how to add closet space and simplified them to reduce cost and time). He likes to do most of the work on his own, allowing us to avoid many issues of variability in quality when dealing with many and multiple subcontractors. With respect to work style, he is consistent, fair, and courteous. In our experience, he was completely dedicated to working on our project and ensuring it was completed well and on-time. It was either going to take over a week to see me, or they wouldn't repair windows that they didn't install. I found Hockessin Homeworks here, and even though they didn't have any reviews I decided to give them a try. I'm very glad I did. They stopped by the same day, took a look at the window and told me that they thought they could squeeze the job in before the end of the day. Sure enough, they were able to get the rotted wood replaced and the trim put back on & sealed within a few hours. The price was very reasonable. I will 100% be calling them again for repair needs.
