I just left this place and couldn't wait to write a review.... My name is Becky. I owned Becky's Pet Parade in Evanston. We had about 180 dog walking/pet sitting clients. I am pretty particular when it comes to the care of my dog if you get my drift. I brought my Albino Doberman Royal Pain here for boarding. From the moment I dropped him off to the moment I picked him I was at ease, comfortable and grateful that I made the choice to bring him here. He earns his name and is a lot of dog. The minute I stepped in with him Howard, Lesley, Sue and Max made me feel like he was at home. Dena was very helpful too. They didn't try to upsell me even when I tried to upsell myself into a suite. Howard took the time to walk around with me and make sure I was at ease. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. They explained the fees and addons only if I liked (and yes I added a few pleasant nature walks... Royal Pain needs it). The big test upon getting home they passed with flying colors: no bad doggie kennel smell on Royal Pain. Thanks Woofmans. We will be back! read more

This is a great place to board your dog. The staff is friendly and the place is cute and well kept. They also encouraged checking in while we were away and always responded as soon as they could. My only advice is to pay attention to pick-up schedules and details; I didn't realize they leave on Sundays for awhile and felt terrible when one of their staff waited around for almost an hour me to show up (whoops!). 10/10 recommend. read more

We boarded our 10 month old Rottweiler with Woofmans for a couple nights in April and it was a GREAT experience I was nervous to leave him overnight but felt so reassured knowing the owners were checking in on him regularly throughout the evening instead of just leaving him alone all evening/night like most other boarding places do! The owners are very nice and clearly passionate about what they do. We will definitely be back and look forward to using the facility again! read more

Great experience. Last minute trip came up and fortunate for us they had a spot for our Bullmastiff puppy. Place was clean and staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Howard the owner was awesome. I've been taking my 2 small dogs there since Woofmans opened and have always been very satisfied. My dogs love going here, it is very clean and the staff is top notch. I HAVE gone to most of the other boarding type places in the area over the years and this is far and away the best, especially for small dogs. One of my dogs gets groomed here regularly as well and the groomer does an excellent job. read more

Probly the worst customer service I have experienced in quite some time. I requested a receipt of drop off and they simply said "no". The hours of drop off and pick up is like dealing w a bunch of gypsies (who the hell takes a 3 hour lunch on Friday!!) My friend paid half the price and was getting pics of his dog thought the weekend and had great customer service. Also- they wanted me to seek out all their hidden fees instead of just telling me about extra cost for Sunday afternoon pick up. There are allot of places to go. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!! read more

We've been taking our Cleo to Woofman's for at least 6 years! They've always been so happy to see her and I know she's been well cared for! When Cleo ruptured a disk in her back, she required special handling and had to be given medicine! Woofman's more than accommodated Cleo, making sure that she would be safe and kept from further injuries. We've been so blessed to have had the care and so sad that we were transferred by my husband's company! We hope to find as good a place to board our fur baby in Kansas City! read more

We have known the owners for about 13 years or so and first met at a dog show. Their dream was to find property and build a state of the art boarding kennel and training center... they have certainly done so. We take our dogs up to Woofmans (we live in Illinois) each time we go out of town. Our dogs are big dogs and enjoy the secure setting at the facility. Our dogs do not lose weight and seem to enjoy and thrive at the Lodge . WE recommend Woofmans whenever someone wants a caring couple who do an excellent job at their wonderful facility. I wanted to write this review because of the amazing care our dog, Moby, a 120 lb Labrador received at Woofmans. Moby has since passed away, but in the years before his passing Woofman's lodge was our go-to boarding facility. Moby was on a number of medications for hip pain, arthritis, and just old age. Woofman's worked with us to ensure he got his meds, would make sure he was walked more frequently to keep from getting too stiff and gave him all the love and affection a 120 lb lap dog needed. We could call anytime while away and they would return our call within the same day to ensure we felt comfortable with the care. They are closed mid day in order to care for the dogs, this is a minor inconvenience as I'd rather have them keeping up with the animal care rather than being phone jockeys. They promptly return messages within the same day. I have recommended their services to just about anyone who needs boarding in the area. read more

I have been bringing my dogs to Woofman's since it first opened. At that time I had 2 big elderly dogs who loved it there. After they passed I adopted 2 toy dogs and they love it there too, including my sensitive Chihuahua mix who was a rescue dog with a history of abuse and didn't trust anyone but us at first. My dogs tails' start wagging as soon as they go through the doors and it is obvious they are well cared for while they are there. Extremely professional, very well run, clean and caring...it IS as good as it gets! :) read more

Woofman's has exceeded all of our expectations. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The amenities are great! My dog gets so excited when he hears he is going to the "puppy hotel" as I call it. He cannot control his excitement in the car when we get within a mile of the facility. I am not sure if it is the Sunday breakfast or the playtime, but it is the next best thing to home. I highly recommend Woofman's to all animal lovers! read more
