I use Yellow Cab all the time. The dispatchers are very courteous and efficient. The drivers are friendly and know the city roads and shortcuts like the back of their hands!! Today I had yet another excellent experience with Yellow Cab and a driver named Al. He was so incredibly friendly and polite. We had a great conversation on my way from Chandler Street to downtown. (Yes I'm that lazy lol) Anyway, Al was very knowledgeable and we discussed politics, astrology, Christopher Columbus and the importance of true friendship on our trip. I would have gave this cab company 5 stars five years ago. They are terrible now. Try calling them in the morning and you will get a busy signal or no one will answer. I needed a cab to work the other day had to be there for 8. I started calling the cab at 7;05. Kept just getting a busy signal and when someone did finally answer it was 20 past 8 read more

worst dispatcher ever. I called for a pick up and 5 empty yellow cab taxis drove me as I waved them down. I called the dispatcher back after 30 minutes and he said it was all my fault because I wasn't there. When I was actually there the whole time. He said he would get another cab. 45 minutes later no one came. I called back to see if my cab was still coming. The dispatcher then said he had no one to pick me up (while on the last call he said a cab would be sent out). I then asked why didn't he call me to tell me that. Which he responded "well you better find another cab service" and hung up on me. Oddly enough I was finally able to waive down a yellow cab 2 and 1/2 hours after my initial call. This is after the dispatcher said he had no one to pick me up. I don't know how a company like this deserves to be in business with such terrible customer service. It really depends on the driver... I took two yellow cab car services today to visit my boyfriend at WPI (I'm at Clark) and the first driver was super great! Kudos to cab driver #1352 in cab 64 today! I used the app (which actually is quite horrible... you have to select your location and destination on a map... it doesnt work to type it in... very frustrating) and it showed up within 2 minutes of submitting my request. He took me the most direct route and it only cost me $9.25... not too bad for 2.2 miles... but then there was the second driver... while he showed up within 5 minutes of submitting my request... he took a much longer (and therefore more expensive route) that included the highway and "missed" my street (which he did not deduct the extra 5 dollars the meter registered) In all, for the ride back that should have costed $9.50, I paid $20 (its 2.2 miles for heavens sake!) As a college student, money is important and isnt easy to come by... so spending 10 dollars more to get home than I did to get there makes me quite mad. read more

Worst Cab Service Ever I will never use yellow Cab again I asked for a cab to the movie theater and upon the cab drivers arrival because my name wasn't given to the cab driver and it was my mothers name as I assured him . He decided to take my phone in attempts to prove a point and then decided to take my cash as well I gave it to him because I had a long day and I just wanted to get home . He decided to charge me 32 dollars for a cab from Brooke street the movie theater to downtown Worcester . Terrible service. Threatened and screamed at my daughter and myself. The driver forgot to turn on his meter and we were yelled at for it and threaten by the management for police intervention. So we are at fault for the drivers incompetence.... so threatening and tine was intimidating. We exited the cab early. read more

This post is for a driver, Anil Pradham, who found my wallet in the parking lot of Union Station, found me on Facebook, and coordinated with me to drop it off the next day. I had almost 200 dollars in cash in it, and when he gave it back (after he drove out of his way to do so), he would not even accept a reward. I cannot thank him enough for his trouble and honesty. We were headed back home from Union station and called a cab. There was a bit of an issue when the cab showed up, but I can't say for certain what happened and it is irrelivant for the most part. As we were getting out, however, we got a call from Yellow Cab. We returned the call a few minutes later (as we weren't sure if someone had called in regarding the afore-mentioned issue). The guy kept telling me that he won't call unless someone pushes the call-out button; I asked if there was a complaint and he said no and got rude, restating that he wouldn't have called unless the button was pushed, but since we were out there was no problem. I simply said "I'm sorry, don't get grumpy, and thanks." He hung up, and as he was hanging up he laughed and said "fucking dick." So I stood there, really shocked and confused. I wasn't rude at all and called only as a consideration for the dispatcher who had called me. I returned his call, and asked to speak to a manager. He said he was the manager and proceeded to tell me that he heard every word of what his dispatcher said. I stated that he was rude and called me a "fucking dick," and after denying it he says "Then don't be such a fucking bitch you fucking dick," and hangs up again. It sounded a lot like the guy I had spoke to and it was pretty apparent when he started yelling at me. I called the main number again, with a different number; he answered but changed his voice to sound deeper and was shorter. I asked for a manager, and he blew up again, screaming at me that we'd already been through this and I should stop being a "fucking little bitch." I plan on calling back tomorrow to speak to the owner. Part of a company's rating, should at least be based on how they handle issues like this. I'm voting this 1-star because I can't use negatives and I have honestly never been treated like that by any company in my life; I will update based on the company's response. Quick update: I sent an email to the address explaining the issue and followed up. I was explaining it and the owner interrupted, asking if it was regarding the email. I said yes and we moved on from there; he explained the issue. Basically I was called out because we requested a cab at the train station and there was one there or arriving, so we jumped in the earliest car and then the cab that got there to pick us up was trying to find us. He suggested I check for a cab first, then call, which means I end up waiting a lot longer, especially late at night when I just want to get home. I think there should be some coordenation between "oh you're a cab already there, good, pick up this person." Perhaps that's just an idea, I really don't know how hard or easy this is. I am leaving the rating right where it is though. I wasn't really satisfied that anything was actually going to get done; he mentioned that the person may have been "just having a really bad day," etc. I don't care if someone is having a bad day, they just treated your customers like trash, cursing and screaming at them and that should be delt with. You -do not- take out your bad days on the customers, no matter what the problem, especially to that extent. Maybe that explains why he was grumpy, but that does not explain what he said afterword. I'm not sure if there are other cab companies here (we've always just called Yellow Cab), but it is something I am looking into. I'm making multiple trips this summer to and from the station and would rather not give my money to a company who is going to explain away bad behavior like that. read more

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE / CALL CENTER I've been using yellow cab several times, and so far the drivers are all okay, nice and friendly. But yesterday I got VERY ignorant and rude call center lady. I called for a cab at Oliver St, Worcester (around 6.30 PM) and I had been waiting like nearly 15 minutes but no cab was coming. I called again, wanted to tell the lady that I had been waiting quite a time but while I hadn't finished my explanation she immediately cut and told me to wait for 10-15 minutes and hanged up. So I waited for another 15 mins but still no cab was coming. I called again (that time I was able to explain that I already waited for 30 mins), but she said there was no order in Oliver St in the system?! My friend told me to cancel the order but I gave them one more chance. I waited again for another 15 mins, but no hope. I called again to confirm (and cancel finally), but guess what? When I mentioned that I was the one who already waited at Oliver St, the lady said 'Oh my God, go away'. I couldn't process what's really going on so I just hanged up. I felt really disappointed and finally ordered Uber cab instead. They should hire better person to handle call center job, seriously. read more

If I could give this taxi service is zero I would. Unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate describe the drivers in the dispatchers perfectly. They are never on time, the cars half the time smell like smoke, and if you're traveling with a service dog they will be jerks about it. I am blind and have a highly trained yellow lab guide dog, and I had one driver leave without getting me because he didn't want to take the dog. Red Cab, Worcester is much better. read more

on what planet does it take two hours for a cab? I could have walked to my destination and back in the time it took them to show up. I called to check in after an hour and a half and they assured me my cab was less than five minutes away. another thirty minutes later I called again and they said "the driver must have gotten lost" I've been picked up at this location multiple times (it's not at all hard to find) and we all know they have a GPS in the car. not my first horrible experience but it will certainly be my last. I've finally learned my lesson, never calling them again! read more
