I was trying to do that when a person came to the door and was snappy with me telling me that I needed to add it to my apple wallet. I did, she closed the door and left me to scan in. I scanned in and walked in to see several people that had been watching me struggle to get in. Definitely not a friendly welcome. I went and did Cardio - the place appears dirty, ventilation is poor which leads to a bad smell. Treadmills are older. I never made it to the weight area. It looked like they had what you would need. I might have been jaded after my warm welcome and spoiled after being a member of the Y. I changed due to location but will be changing back.

I would like to preface this review by saying I love orange theory and have been going for YEARS. I was a founding member of this studio and used to go every single day. I became pregnant 7/2022 and was able to go minimally up until 2/2/2023 when I could no longer go because my belly was so big and the doctors were scared he was IUGR. I was generous to the studio to ask to put a freeze on my account starting in April as baby was due April 4th (still was charged $15 a month even though I was originally told no charge). On 5/30/2023 my freeze ended. From the date of my baby's birth (April 4) to literally now I have barely had a second to breathe let alone think of my orange theory membership. I had a very hard birth and my baby was very high needs with colic and reflux and would cry 24/7. I finally was able to remember to call to cancel my membership 6/12/2023 but I was 4 days late past the 30 day policy. I sent an email asking how many more times I would be charged and when my last day of classes would be and my email was never returned. I called the studio asked for forgiveness from ONLY this last payment seeing as I was only 4 days late, a new mom who was still in June experiencing birth complications (scar tissue that had to be burned out from inside of me) with a high needs baby and on top of that postpartum anxiety and depression. I even offered to get a doctors note or provide them with my medical notes. They said it did not matter to them the reason that they had to continue with corporates policy. Absolutely no support for postpartum mothers after being a member for years. They can see I haven't been there since February and offered me 10 free classes.. my baby is high needs I can not come!!! What if you were injured in an accident and could not cancel no medical notes are accepted! Beware at all costs!!!!! I would proudly tell anyone to join but not after this! They are all privately owned! Whatever happened to decency and doing the right thing! (I also told them I would be leaving a review and I was told by the studio to post it)

As with any gym, it gets pretty crowded at times, but it has enough workout options that there's pretty much always something different to do if your main machine/bench/weights/cardio machine are being used. Sometimes it's extremely humid in there, while other times it's frigid. I prefer frigid. With their daycare, tanning options, basketball court, and large variety of workout options, it's a good value for the money. It's not cheap, but it's also not terribly expensive. Definitely a step up from a place like Planet Fitness.

What you CAN expect is a clean gym (and locker room with showers) equipped with all you need to get in a good, thorough workout. They even provide complimentary personal training for any rookies. All this for $10 a month. Yep only $10 bucks. I'm currently learning to speak Yelpish, so I'll translate: The member ship fee is equal to: The sauteed calamari appetizer at Orsay or A sandwich at The French Pantry For $20 a month, you get the "Black Card" upgrade with unlimited use of tanning beds, massage chairs, and you get half priced cooler drinks (or "happy hour priced cooler drinks" in Yelpish). I then found both of our ID's on my phone, showed Kobe, and asked if he could take our picture so we wouldn't have to go through that again. He said no. James then walked up, asked Kobe what was going on, and then offered to take our picture so there wouldn't be such a delay next time. The same exact thing Kobe said he couldn't do! I asked why Kobe told me he couldn't do it and James said, "Because I know more than him." I then worked out and guess what I asked 90 minutes later? Did Kobe learn to take pictures? Nope. Just bad service led from an owner who was made aware of a problem last week, did nothing, and then let it happen again to us. The issue is we don't pay that gym's owner according to Kobe. He said the owner of this location owns three gyms and if we don't pay one of them three then we have to show ID every workout which is unlike every other PF club. Horrible.

We followed our PF contract and sent a letter to cancel our membership, they however "never received the letter". My husband followed up with his gym over the phone, they apologized and canceled his membership right away. I followed up with my PF gym location about it and I was put on hold while they looked for my letter but didnt find it. I was told they would "look into and get it handled". A couple months later I was still getting charged. I called the location and explained the situation to the front desk and was told I needed to send another letter, so I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager, Angela I think, promptly returned my call, she basically called me a liar and said that I needed to either come in person (which I cannot do because I do not live nearby anymore) or to send another letter. She said that "planet fitness since 199_ (92 or 94, I dont remember) has never canceled over the phone so she isnt sure why somebody would have ever told me that". Totally understand needing to sign something in person or send a letter for proof (even though with technology now a days it seems a little ridiculous). Its frustrating having one PF be so kind and attentive, and this one be so dismissive and condescending.

We opted to go with the Black Membership which gives hubby full access since he is the primary person on the account and he is allowed to bring one person with him every time he comes. Since I never go without him anyway, this works perfectly for us. The only thing he has access to that I do not is the tanning beds. That's fine with me since it's impossible for me to get a tan; i just burn like a lobster. I've always been in the afternoon when most people are at work, so the gym has never been crowded. I've also never seen a plethora of teens in the gym like someone else mentioned. Not to say it never happens, I just personally haven't witnessed it. I've never felt uncomfortable here while I'm working out. Others who work out here are here to do just that... work out. I have never felt like someone else is watching me or judging me. There are tons of weight machines and they have been a big help for me since I've been recovering from shoulder surgery and have needed to get the strength back in my arm. I don't know a ton about weights (hubby's the expert where that's concerned), but in addition to the machines, they have an area with free weights, weight benches, etc. There are many treadmills and two different types of exercise bikes. Plenty of TVs are mounted in this area which you can watch while you work out. I love the massage chairs which are free to use. These things are almost as good as going to an actual massage therapist! They are open 24 hours during the week. They open at 12:00am on Monday and stay open until 9:00pm on Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays they are open from 7:00am - 7:00pm. This is great for those with crazy work schedules. The employees who work here have always been very friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable about all the machines and are more than willing to assist you if you need help. I like that they are always smiling and really seem to enjoy their jobs. Great gym and a great price. Very happy we joined.
