I truly loved my time there over the last couple of years. Starting over at a new gym/location can feel a smidge awkward (with any change), but the transition has been way smoother than I expected and everyone at Nocatee has been super welcoming from the start. The gym is always bright & cheery, clean, the classes push you in the best way, and the community atmosphere is still very much there. I've really loved getting to know the new trainers and new work out crew. It already feels familiar walking in, which was the best surprise given it's my first week. Very grateful to still have a place that keeps me motivated and makes showing up feel so easy. The crew lifts pretty heavy here which is amazing motivation to reset my personal goals and raise the bar. Cheers to a new start! They start taking money out of your account like crazy! I canceled over a month ago and they have taken a large amount of money since. Just yesterday they took money out from my account!! I canceled back in June!!! They don't solve anything. The owner is usually not there and the guys who work there can't do anything for you.

Christina and Ben are fantastic trainers that take the time to make sure your form is right and push you to get stronger. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any fitness level. They also have where we have to be accountable for our success so we post different pictures throughout the week showing how we are staying on track. I have never been involved in a program where they pushed you this hard and I am glad they did because I ended up losing 18 pounds in 6 weeks!!!! I noticed this place when I used to pick up coffee at Starbucks and decided to check it out after grabbing an iced coffee at the recently opened Bold Bean. First time in I just wanted to get info & see what the details were to be a member. Finally bit the bullet and signed up for a monthly membership which comes with one complimentary training session per month. Booked my first training session for an early morning (on my birthday no less) because if I was going to train, I needed to force my butt out of bed. Telling myself I would do it after a long day at work wasn't going to happen. Met David when I showed up for my session and went through the initial 'getting to know you' stage. He gave me a nice total body workout to assess my strengths & abilities. While I know he wasn't pushing me to my max limit, my leg muscles would definitely beg to differ. Still got up the next day and drug myself in for a short run on the treadmill. Shannon - the owner - who I had signed up with earlier that week, stopped by to say hello. She was excited to see me back in and was checking in on how everything went the day before. I must have had a 'good' time because I continue to go back in to meet David at least once a week. Some trainers have higher education and years of experience while others have no degree in the related field. Other trainers have the education to back up their title but very little experience in the field. This is why it is so important to by pass the owner when selecting your trainer. Find one who is right for your short and long term goals, someone with a degree in the field, someone who has at least 3-5 years of practical experience and someone you relate to on a personal level. The biggest mistake a client can make is looking at their prospective trainers Instagram and noticing a move that is beyond most peoples realm and whilst enjoying their six pack abs and visioning yourself in them, take a step back and ask yourself, is this really what I need? Do your research fully and put your trainer in your own hands. Also, be careful how much money you put on your account because if your trainer leaves and you can't find one that is comparable, Focus will keep your money or force you to train with another trainer despite your reservations. My past experience with focus leaves me with Cracker Jack box training methods for most trainers. Leaving some clients bored and complacent. Training is movement art and science combined. Make sure your trainer has a pleather of tools in their tool box. Have witnessed most of the trainers in the habitat with very little creativity, energy and motivation.

One thing that I do enjoy about this planet fitness is the plethora of massage machines that they have for black card members. I usually use the Hydro chair and the total body enhancement.. I think that recovery is just important as weightlifting. I've never had any issues with the gym at all. The Customer Service is pretty good. The staff is always welcoming people in with smiles. And if anybody has any type of questions regarding the membership, they will thoroughly explain it to them. This gym is a total free judgmental zone if you need help using the machine, the staff and the people are around you will help you with using the machine. The crowd that I usually see in the gym is usually 30+. Which is such a beautiful thing to see that people still care about their fitness.
