I ran out of my current lotion and one of the girls helped me pick out another they had that was very similar in texture, performance and price range. She also suggested an indoor/outdoor lotion as I only tan in a bed 1-2 months per year, so I appreciated the extra thought.

Stopped back to set up a few one-off tans for the same reason. Got a 15 minute high-pressure sales pitch. Listened patiently, then explained that we just wanted a few single events. The representative launched into another high pressure sales pitch. We walked away, and are unlikely to return. It's too bad; they have nice equipment but they have taken to pitching it as though they are timeshare sales reps.

She was smug, condescending, rude, and overall an absolute displeasure to deal with. From the second I walked in, I felt completely unwelcome and like my presence was inconveniencing her. The entire experience made me never want to return and remain pale (and I'm an SEC sorority girl so that is a BIG statement). I even told my friend to hurry up with her spray tan because I felt so uncomfortable sitting in the lobby alone with this employee. And when I told her I wanted Catalina Dark, she looked at me like I had four heads. If this salon wants to keep customers coming back, they seriously need to reevaluate who they have representing the business. On another note...spray tan did slay so shout out to yall for that but that was with no help of your employee and her nasty attitude.

When we showed up a second time we were notified that we did not have a checking account and routing number on file and "there is nothing that can be done until then".... After explaining that taking payment for something and then refusing to deliver is not only a bait and switch tactic that it is in fact theft!(apparently refunds are not an option as well) Please save yourself the headache there are much better more professional salons in Knoxville. In a nutshell, their bulbs were so messed up that it's been 90 days and my back is still embarrassingly striped like a zebra. Here's my message: Dear Eastside Tanning, I wanted to let you know that I came in on 2/28/17 and purchased the level two unlimited and some lotion, but unfortunately as my tan settled I had two huge white lines that went from the top of my back to my lower thigh. Upon further (online) research, it would seem the bed's bulbs were messed up. This was my first experience at any tanning bed, I dropped $71, and unfortunately I still bear the two lines on my back/legs proving so. I've been getting monthly memberships, on & off, here for around a year. I use the stand-up booth…read morebecause I get claustrophobic in the beds. This time around when I renewed my membership I noticed they got a new stand-up, very happy about that; it's much nicer & bigger. I have severe allergies & even dust causes me to have headaches. A few weeks ago I noticed I was having headaches following tanning; then I realized the fan in the stand-up was pretty dusty. I didn't realize the owner (a male) was out of town & I asked for it to be cleaned. The girls that work there stood on stools, took 45 min., & made sure it was gleaming clean by the time I came back to tan. They're extremely accommodating! I would recommend paradise tan & travel to anyone wanting a friendly environment, that puts the needs of their customers first.

Funny how that when you open an account with them, that the charge is immediate, but when it comes to "freezing" the account, it takes another "billing cycle" for the account change to take place? Unfair business practices like this should be considered as THEFT! I guess that just "one" customer's bad experience isn't going to hurt huh?‍
