I hate that I need to leave such a negative review but I've been more than patient up until this point. I received an estimate for a light post back in Jan which I approved. I inquired about the date of the installation in April since the ground was beginning to thaw. Kevin asked me which light fixture I wanted and told me that it would be installed in 2 weeks. Awesome! Fast forward a couple weeks to the middle of May and I still hadn't heard from Kevin. I texted Kevin for an update and was told that the light was ordered and it should be installed in 14 days. I asked if it was 14 days from the date that it was ordered and I was told, "I believe so". First of all, how do you not know when the light will be installed and second, why was the light fixture just ordered when I sent you my selection 3 weeks prior?! Also, if you don't know the timeline shouldn't you find out and relay that information back to the customer? At this point I was beyond frustrated. I called this past Monday to speak to someone else because I couldn't believe Kevin's lack of communication and The vague answers I was receiving when he did reply to me. I spoke to Brian who was very apologetic and stated that he would reach out to Kevin to get this matter taken care of. Fast forward to Weds and I still hadn't heard from Kevin or Brian. I texted Kevin that we were cancelling our job because the entire process has been incredibly frustrating. Someone did call later that day but I was too busy at work to answer and they didn't leave a voicemail so I have no clue who called me. It's now Friday and I still haven't heard from Kevin or Brian. I guess my job is of little importance since it's less than $1000. It's such a shame because we are planning on more extensive outdoor lighting which will cost far more than $1000 but given the lack of communication and professionalism we will not be considering World Class Outdoor Lighting nor will I recommend them to my friends and co-workers. read more

Kevin was forthright and very responsive in the pre contract process and Drew and Andrew were both very professional and instructive during the installation. The recent job went very well. I did have a problem after they were finished, but the guy came back out within a couple of hours of me contacting him about the problem. The problem was quickly straightened out, and the cost of the original installation was fairly priced. They were glad to do the job when other companies would not. read more

Update 4/20/18 (after business owner posted a comment on my review): Despite what is noted in the business owner's comment on my review, I have not been contacted multiple times in any medium by World Class Outdoor Lighting (WCOL) in an attempt to resolve any issues. I have not received any Yelp messages, missed any phone calls, received any voicemails or have any emails in my inbox and/or junk folders from WCOL. I would expect that WCOL probably has no record of my contact because the communication to me from WCOL just stopped after measurements were made. The rep indicated that a quote would be on the way a few days after she took measurements, and I never heard from WCOL ever again. Perhaps I was a potential customer who happened to "fall through the cracks." We ended up working with Traditions Holiday Lighting instead and have since been a repeat customer of Traditions. --------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm still scratching my head about my experience with World Class Outdoor Lighting. I emailed the business and inquired about lighting. The rep was very responsive and eager to set up a meeting to take pictures of my house. After that meeting, the rep said we'd have a quote on Friday; this meeting took place on a Wednesday. No quote ever came. In fact, communication just ended. We never received any correspondence from World Class Outdoor Lighting again. Needless to say, the other lighting contractor we contacted got our business. read more

Did a nice job on the design and installation of our home lighting 20 years ago when they were a new, two-man operation. We are far less satisfied with the quality of their subsequent service and support. A recent annual maintenance visit was completed in 15 minutes without replacement of cracked lenses or straightening the path light posts as I had specifically requested. They replaced one of two bulbs in our dormers with a lamp brighter than the other (and brighter than we preferred). When I contacted them about it they suggested I just find a brighter bulb for the other fixture. Finally, the LED bulbs they use are overpriced and low quality. When I reached out to them for specs to obtain an equivalent replacement for an LED that failed I never heard back, so I replaced all of them with my best guess. I can recommend World Class for the quality of their products and installations, but you strongly consider a landscaping service for post-installation maintenance, bulbs, and support. read more

I think the day I wrote my original review and posted it, the repair crew arrived at my house. That evening the lights were working again. They look so good that it reminded me why I went with this company in the first place. Brian and Kevin both reached out to make sure everything was alright, and offered a steep discount for the delay. They do take pride in their work, and the crews all seem to know their stuff. Did not like the blip in service, but they stood behind their work and took the time to make it right. Concerned. Initially very happy w the quality of work and appearance enhancement w the outdoor lighting. Late in first year, system starting acting funky, breaker trips on rainy days, hours of operation off. Just over a year, it has gone dark. Called Kevin to resolve. Told it would be a couple of days to be onsite. One week later, no show. Called again and got VM. Kevin left me a VM saying oops, be out that day or next. 3 days later, no show. Called again, VM. No response. Couple of days more, another VM, still no contact or repair. Not sure what is going on, my system is not working, and apparently the repair crew isn't either. read more
