We celebrated my son's 3rd birthday here today and what could normally be a stressful day for most parents, ended up being such a breeze!! From the start, before the big day, communication was clear and we were given exact pricing. I went in a few weeks before the big day and the manager (?) was kind enough to give me a tour and a rundown of exactly how the time would be spent. For the first half hour, the kids have free range of the jungle gym area, that reminded me of Discovery Zone from my youth. The next half hour was spent in a separate room that had trampolines, rock walls, swings, bubbles, balls...it was kid heaven. Keep in mind our group had age ranges from 1 all the way to 11, and everyone seemed entertained! During the whole time the staff was super attentive and assisted any of the kids if they needed help. The last half hour we all moved to the food area that was decorated so beautifully, where everyone enjoyed the cake and food and again, the staff was super on point and handled everything. They served the kids food, they cut and served the cake, and they cleaned up when we were done! I can't reiterate enough how efficient the 3 women were! I 10/10 recommend Kids U for any birthday parties you may be considering. Thank you guys, so much!!

Some have food allergies and happily drop their kids off without sticking around. Some bring extra kids in tow. Did I order enough food? Can we keep them busy for 2 hours? (Can you tell I've been through the kid class party ringer?!) The Grit Ninja was an answer to a kid party prayer. My birthday boy had a blast jumping and acrobat-ing around with his buddies. You get the place to yourself, which makes the drop-off thing much easier and relaxed. The party assistants take care of everything. The food is included (just add cake & decorations) and the instructor (a real Ninja Warrior!) is awesome; such patience with a high energy brood! The kids climb, jump, do obstacle courses, swing and attempt the "Ring of Fire!" (No, it's not at all as scary as it sounds, Mom & Dad!) Looking forward to taking my dudes back for their classes too. They made her sit out the activities for more than an hour until they could "find" the waiver. When I accidentally called the Pleasantville location to ask what was going on, they -- a different location -- found it immediately. Clearly, had the Norwalk staff searched under her name they would have found it. When I spoke with the Norwalk manager, she kept reiterating that their system updates in "real time," which seems separate from the problem. While there might have been an issue with their system, I'm more concerned that they didn't simply look her up. Ironically, that lack of basic problem solving makes me suspect their ability to keep participants safe. They certainly didn't make an 11-year-old girl happy.

We arrived at 10:30, which I would recommend based on crowds. My 4 and 5 year old had a good time, though I'd say this spot is optimal for slightly older and above. There were just a handful of activities they really couldn't do. That being said, I saw a bunch of toddlers who were also having a blast. The namesake slide was closed all morning, which was a bummer, but I'm also not sure my kids would have actually done it. The trampolines, acrobatic swing bar, and multi-level play structure were their favorites. I agree that some people working here were more happy to be there. The waiver is long. Try to do it ahead of time.

We used a Groupon and had no issues redeeming when visiting on a Friday morning. We were instructed to complete the waivers at the kiosks near the entrance. We did have to purchase the mandatory socks which was $18 for three (3) pairs. Before proceeding to the play areas, we put our things in the little cubes they have for storage...i.e. shoes, bags, etc. Keep in mind these are open cubes which anyone can access. I never felt unsafe in leaving our things there...but as always, there is a risk. It was not very crowded on a Friday morning at around 10:30am (they open at 10) so it was a pleasure navigating the space with minimal crowds. There are lots of areas to enjoy for both adults and children. The main area has trampolines as well as some interactive areas where you jump to tap buttons and two video screens where you mimic the movements on screen...both area great. There are a few obstacle courses: ninja, balance beam, and swing pit. The basketball area is also great with a cushioned surface, two hoops, and targets where you can throw balls at. There are two huge slides in the center which are fun. Finally, there a "rock climbing" area with a few different climbing options. You must have the "climb" option added to your pass in order to use it though. You will be belayed during the climb. Be mindful that the gripped socks provided do NOT offer the best grip while climbing in my opinion...climbing was much more difficult that I experience in traditional rock climbing places that provide rock climbing shoes...then again, maybe it is just me. There is a food area which sells some snacks: soft drinks, chips, candy. There are also a few tables nearby where you can eat. Overall we had a great time here...the space was very clean and well-maintained. All staff we encountered were very nice. Be sure to check ahead if visiting with toddlers as there are some restrictions on which areas they are able to visit.

This franchise could not place my daughter in any of their other locations. Communication was not great, and the lack of empathy shocked me. My daughter who has special needs has been severely affected by this, every morning she gets up and tries to dress herself to "go to school". I am also still waiting for a refund since my daughter has not been placed and or not attending. Please do better, families are affected by poor management.
