I gave myself fifteen minutes as I thought this would be plenty of time to walk in, purchase and leave... I was wrong; everything is a process from getting the earring out of the cabinet, to looking at them, to paying for them they then get passed onto someone else to wrap! It was like a bloody ceremony. The store itself is not very big. As they have one store for jewellery and another for clothing. Overall not as bad as I presumed, the door man / bouncer was lovely and the staff were ok.

Having grown up in hampstead and being a vintage and antiques trader, specialising in ladies fashion, this was too ridiculous an attempt to insult, for me to take notice. What I do not appreciate however, is being made to feel as though I were so in the wrong... an unwelcome presence, banned from ever bringing custom to the shop again... a location that my mother and I have perused and bought from on and off for nearly forty years. My crime? Having purchased a damaged dress. I hadn't noticed at the time but when I tried the dress on at home I noticed a severe hole on the seam, with a little sticker next to it, which suggested that the damage had in fact been flagged already. I took it back (well within reason to bring this to any merchant's attention), noticed two other tears, but had to wait for 30 mins for zana to get there to deal with me directly. After a lot of unrelated guff about quality control and being made to feel wrong, despite my unoffensive and reasonable visit (an hour out of my day plus parking charges), eventually she give me a 5er back (begrudgingly) and banned me from the shop. I was a bit upset and tried to reason with her, but she was adamant and then downright offensive. Is that even legal? I'm truly shocked at her behaviour.

This is probably one of the biggest Chanel stores that I've ever visited with multiple levels. Although I received better service at Selfridges, I decided to make my purchase here since it was *the* famous Bond Street. The store had a wide variety of classic bags as well as seasonal/cruise bags. To echo what another reviewer said, no one offered to help me and I had to ask someone to put me on the waiting list for assistance (yes, there's even a waiting list just to assist you!). My sales associate was mundane but was more than happy to show me the different purses that I was looking for. My purchase was small potatoes compared to the other goods that other consumers were dropping their pounds on. Once I made up my mind, I was put on another list to checkout for the VAT refund, which was its own room with chairs for you to sit down while your transaction is exchanged. The associate who was handling the VAT refunds was extremely pleasant and explained the process thoroughly and was able to answer all of my questions. Although VAT is better in London, but I had a better experience shopping in Paris. Maybe I'll come back again next time...

In most styles the bottom of the bag has protection for when you put it down. They're just all around versatile and pretty. I recently found a Cath Kidston dish towel in my cabinet. The colors are vibrant and it looks new. The material is very sturdy and naturally there's her logo sewn on perfectly. I make all my purchases online. Frequently there's a deal on shipping. The store hours are from 0700 to 2300, though 4 different times, I was able to enter after 2300 and purchase items. The staff was friendly on each visit. The location is perfect as it is 1 block from London Underground's Bayswater Station, 3 blocks from the Queensway Station,and 2 blocks from the Hilton and Hyde Park Inn & Suites which is great for tourists. I do like this area and will be visiting the store again on my next trip. I recommend this for those whom are new to the area to get an idea about prices and such.

Lots of other cool things to explore within Selfridges as well. I have found the service to be consistently friendly, helpful, and polite. Selfridges is an institution to seen by all whether for the first time or the 100th time.
