A bit of Valley history here! When I found out about Tarzana Safari Walk I got excited. Unfortunately it's nothing exotic about the area. It's part of Ventura Blvd. with generic stores on it and chain coffee shop. Sometimes they might do a small street fair (maybe that was years ago). Now it's just a regular block in the Valley. No exotic walks or hikes. Just yiur regular urban jungle!

Many activities take…read moreplace while you dine and shop along Ventura Blvd at Yolanda Ave. Activities included: face painting, balloon twisting/animals, music, drum & dance performance, martial arts performance, lectures on Tarzana history & more! Face painting & balloons: it was super hot today so my son opted for having something painted on his arm other than his face and sweating it all off and looking crazy. He wanted a skull and the lady did a great job. She was very fast and you can tell she's been doing this for a while! My daughter got a flower on her leg and it was very pretty and done in literally 15 seconds. She also got a flower balloon bracelet that was really cool. Thanks to the 2 wonderful ladies working the booth :) Performances: Sensei Ash Martial arts performed and the kids showed off their martial arts skills. (I wish I took pictures) I noticed it was a mixture of all levels: green belt, orange, blue etc. I was super impressed and my 9 year old now wants to sign up and join. You can tell those kids carry great discipline and confidence as they were doing high kicks and karate chops as well as cool ninja rolling/tumbling on the mat. African Drum & Dancing: this was really fun! I love how they included and interacted with the crowd and taught us the meaning of their dance moves and some of us had the guts to get in front of everyone and dance along. We even learned the words to their chant but I can't remember anymore. They also let kids come up and play drums and other instruments. Pretty awesome :) Live animals: this was scheduled for 2:30pm so we arrived in front of Chase bank where it was taking place but had to wait a while because they were running late. Now when I heard "live animals" for some reason I thought elephants, lions, tigers and bears lol. My kids were pretty disappointed when the "animal show" showed up in storage bins. Reptiles and some birds I believe. After my son pet a snake we left. Oh well. Even though it was just super hot out today that didn't matter. You can see the families enjoying themselves and the kids were happy and having a great time. Looking forward to next year.

Pro-Tip: If after the tour and you have to hop back on the freeway to go home (during rush hour), you can kill some time at the Burbank Town Center Mall that is close by. Easy to find the parking lot, everything is clearly labeled and they charge $15 for the day. Go down the looney toons elevator (level G) and you are now in the lobby. You will have to go through metal detectors. If you get there early, you can hang out at one of the most expensive Starbucks to relax. The bathroom is near the gift shop. You can also go into "check in" area and look at some cool stuff. They ask that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time. The 30 minutes is KEY for the Deluxe Tour. I checked in around 9am with Michael for our 930am tour. He said we are early and go ahead and have a seat and he will call us when ready. (THIS IS WRONG! HE DUCKED OUT AFTER SCANNING OUR TICKET BUT FOR OTHER PEOPLE OF A DIFFERENT RACE, HE SAID, "OH, YOU HAVE THE DELUXE, LET ME GIVE YOU YOUR LANDYARDS." I WITNESS THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN. WHEN HE LEFT THE COUNTER AGAIN, I ASKED A DIFFERENT PERSON FOR OUR LANYARDS) Michael NEVER called us and forgot about us. This is BS because if you have the Deluxe Tour, your name is on the list. He claimed we were just added, nope! I saw my name on the list and he crossed it out. The lanyard is important because on the bottom of it, is a voucher (don't tear) that is good at Central Perk for a free snack and drink. Michael, you are a POS, how hard is it to bend down and give me 4 lanyards? I know what you were doing but I was there with my two kids. I showed them how to handle things when someone is being "selective" in treatment. After the 930pm group is called, you are invited into a lounge. Feel free to take advantage and get some pastries, chips, other snacks, cold drinks, and coffee. The silverware and cups must stay in the lounge. Hopefully, you didn't buy anything at Starbucks. Then give you a count down when the tour will start, use the bathroom outside at this point. If you don't need to, trust me, do it. In the lounge, we were also offered a complementary admission to the Superman experience (do it). Then you go into a movie theater to watch a quick 5-minute video before meeting your tour guide. Our tour guide was Alejandro and he was wonderful. Super cool and turned our day around quickly. He is full of energy and knowledge and you can tell he enjoys his job. Alejandro took us around the studio and empty sets and explained how movies were made and which movies were made with each specific set. We would go to a different part and get out and walk. Alejandro did such a good job and that is why I am rating this 5 stars. We were able to see the costumes department and they have tons of clothes from different eras. Pictures were not allowed in there. After visiting a few areas and actually a stage (think warehouse) and the sound department (how the mix in effects plus music), we took our first break at the exclusive WB Commissary. The best part was that Alejandro was about to join us for lunch (working lunch). Lunch was delicious and top notch. You can order a starter and entree and they are sensitive to guests with allergies. A drink is also included. After lunch, we made our way to the prop department and it is amazing at some of the stuff they have in there. After the guided tour, it was time for Alejandro to say bye to us for the self-guided portion. Right at the Central Perk. No snacks are allowed in the exhibits room on left so we did that area first and saw the costumes for Mortal Kombat, a few cool things, and photo OP on the Friends and Big Bang Theory Couch. Give them your phone. They will also take a picture too and hand you a QR card. Then you can do a motion video of Harry Potter riding the broom or Batman in the motorcycle and they take the picture at the end. You are not allowed to photo or film while you are doing this on the green screen. Then show the QR code and maybe you want to buy a picture or two? There is another sound stage presentation similar to the one we did on the tour but different movie. A few exhibits and we were back into Central Perk again to cash in for a free drink and free snack. I decided on a blended drink and apple fritter. My kids took chips and bottle of lemonade. Inside the giftshop was the counter of Central Perk, the sofa again inside the coffee shop, Monica's kitchen, etc. It was close to 4pm at this point and we did the Superman Experience and they take to the Friends fountain for a quick picture. Then it's off to play your game and afterwards, you can explore the exhibits inside the Fortress of Solitude. You can take pictures and buy them afterwards. There is a giftshop too. Then shuttle to Batman and Harry Potter stuff. Great day!

It was absolutely worth the 1 hour and 45 minute drive from our town! Parking: Free, plentiful, and conveniently close to the train station. Check-In & Service: We arrived early, and the check-in process was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. After choosing our carts and loading our belongings, we had time to use the restroom before the ride began. It's easy to drive and if you don't feel like pedaling, the motor will do it for you -- no steering is required! Pro Tips Bring a Small Pillow This was a game-changer! We brought small pillows and placed them behind our backs, which significantly reduced vibration and made the ride much more comfortable. Thank you to the reviewer who suggested this--we had zero complaints. Bug Spray & Sun Protection Bring bug spray or insect repellent. The bugs weren't too bad during our visit, but it's nice to have. An umbrella can also provide extra shade if desired. Bring Water There is a cup holder on each cart, so staying hydrated is easy. Secure Loose Items Be careful when placing items in the cup holder. There's a small opening on one side, and smaller items can slip through. My bug spray fell out during the ride. Fortunately, there's also a basket available for purses and other belongings. Hair & Helmets If you have long hair, wear it down or in a very low ponytail so it fits comfortably under the helmet. Shoes Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended. Since you may be pedaling at times, it's possible to lose a loose-fitting sandal or flip-flop. Sunglasses Definitely bring sunglasses to protect your eyes from dust, wind, and the occasional bug. Restrooms & Snacks There is an opportunity along the route to purchase snacks and use the restroom (outhouse). Overall We had a fun time. One of our favorite parts was taking in the scenery, spotting native plants, and simply enjoying being outside. This was a unique experience and a memorable Father's Day outing that we'd happily do again

We chose the 1 PM time slot, which is a 2-hour scheduled ride that includes two stops--one in Fillmore and another at Prancer's Farm on the way back. The ride was full with 16 guests, and the guides did a great job leading from both the front and back, making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. Check-in was quick and easy, and they even provided complimentary popcorn and water, which was a nice touch before getting started. The ride itself was an absolute blast and definitely a solid workout--very similar to cycling, covering just under 10 miles round trip. The carts are super easy to use, with clear instructions from the guides. Each cart comes equipped with a front storage rack, cup holders, a hand brake (which you'll appreciate on the downhill!), an odometer, and a switch to toggle between manual and automatic. The assist mode really comes in handy on the uphill stretch heading toward Fillmore, while the ride back is a smooth and enjoyable downhill cruise. The weather couldn't have been better, and the scenery was incredible. Along the way, we took in beautiful views of avocado and lemon groves, cactus fields, and plenty of wildlife--squirrels, lizards, and even bees hard at work pollinating. It made the whole experience feel peaceful and immersive. On the way back, we stopped for about 20-30 minutes at Prancer's Farm, where we got to see a variety of animals including goats, pigs, bulls, and sheep. There's also a petting zoo option if you purchase tickets. The farm had a fun seasonal setup for Easter, along with a shop where you can buy fresh fruit, beef jerky, and other local goods. Overall, this was one of the most fun and unique experiences we've had. If you enjoy the outdoors, want a bit of adventure, and don't mind getting in a great workout, I highly recommend giving Sunburst Railbikes a try. Hopefully my photos--and this review--help you decide to book your own ride!

That actually made me more nervous at first, but it turned out to be totally fine. The hummer never gets that close to the cliff edge, and it always felt controlled and safe. The views are unreal!!!!!! seriously breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see 2 bison, 2 Catalina foxes, 2 does, and a young buck. The tour before us saw zero bison, so we were thrilled.
