Our request was fairly straightforward, just estate planning documents, nothing fancy or complicated. Pros: Everything is online or done digitally, he communicates over email and zoom. (Saves you a trip to his office!). He also takes the time to explain and answer you questions, and also appreciated his use of real-world illustrations (without of course giving away any confidential information) to explain why you may or may not want certain language in your documents. Found our zoom calls, as well as the documents very informative, there are a lot of background info embedded in the docs. (Tip: definitely take the time to read through the documents and come with questions to make the most of the your meetings). This was our first estate plan, so we haven't had to make any revisions, or bring any curve balls to test if his his "boiler plate" templates wouldn't have been sufficient for our situation, so can't speak to some of the issues cited in the negative reviews, guess time will tell - but our experience with Chris was entirely pleasant.

Answer a few standard questions, chat about your impending death, and whammo! You've got yourself a legally binding will, power of attorney, health care advance directive, etc. Betsy also told us everything about death we wouldn't have even known to ask. Plus, she and her husband even come to *your* house for a signing party so you get the documents right away. It wasn't cheap, but check to see if your company has a legal plan (ours paid for almost everything!). But it was thorough, painless, and quick. Just like I hope that impending death of mine will be. (FYI: Betsy knows all the good ways to dispose of your body: cremation, burial at sea, composting, being turned into a tree ...)

My wife hired him 4 months ago. In these 4 months, the lawyer was constantly delaying (he did not provide any deadlines upfront), answering emails after waiting for a week, and his paralegals were constantly sending us contract drafts with rough legal mistakes. My wife and I agreed on divorce terms and were ready just to sign everything and file papers with the court. And after 4 months of extremely sluggish work, she still doesn't even have an estimate, then the paperwork will be ready. We finally forced him to provide us final version of the contract (after a month of calls and emails), and signed it. But now, instead of filing papers with the court, the lawyer sent her an email with a demand to pay an additional $2.5k in fees just to move forward.
