My wife hired him 4 months ago. In these 4 months, the lawyer was constantly delaying (he did not provide any deadlines upfront), answering emails after waiting for a week, and his paralegals were constantly sending us contract drafts with rough legal mistakes. My wife and I agreed on divorce terms and were ready just to sign everything and file papers with the court. And after 4 months of extremely sluggish work, she still doesn't even have an estimate, then the paperwork will be ready. We finally forced him to provide us final version of the contract (after a month of calls and emails), and signed it. Answer a few standard questions, chat about your impending death, and whammo! You've got yourself a legally binding will, power of attorney, health care advance directive, etc. Betsy also told us everything about death we wouldn't have even known to ask. Plus, she and her husband even come to *your* house for a signing party so you get the documents right away. It wasn't cheap, but check to see if your company has a legal plan (ours paid for almost everything!). But it was thorough, painless, and quick. Just like I hope that impending death of mine will be.
