Worldstone in Sanford did a fantastic job on our new house. The pricing was the best in all of the surrounding areas and there were so many options to choose from. Helen, our sales rep, was extremely knowledgeable, helping us select the best product and finish for each location. We selected a mix of quartz, polished granite, honed granite and leathered granite. we even got to hand select the slab! Installation was coordinated through the builder, but Worldstone kept us informed and we loved the end product! We are using them for our outdoor kitchen too! Just the planning for this project has been great. World Stone is amazing! We were referred to them by a friend who is a contractor and uses their services often. Jamie got back to me really quickly, and I could not believe how affordable it was. We were moving soon, and wanted to update the kitchen counters before we listed the home, and wish we did it sooner because it was so nice! We had laminate countertops for several years, and had we known how efficient and affordable it was going to be, we would've done it sooner. They use a laser measure so it's precise, and the timeline from start to finish was efficient and professional. The seam on the counter was seamless, and we were surprised at how much you couldn't see it. We also used a remnant piece for the master bath, and it was absolutely beautiful. In all, it's definitely worth getting a quote! I have referred so many friends to World Stone, and they have all had a positive experience! read more

World Stone 3201 Industrial Dr, Sanford, NC 27332 WARNING!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! Quality of work unacceptable! World Stone put a seam in the middle of my counter. Said it was the only way to do it. They then told me that the pieces at the seam were from the same cut of granite. It's obvious something went terrible wrong! It looks absolutely horrible! I paid $2000 upgrade for the nicer stone. I called and gave them an opportunity to fix their mistake. The owner said he was willing to replace the 1 piece for $1700 AND a removal fee! I've had 3 other companies look at my granite and couldn't believe that World Stone would install something looking so horrible. I will be taking them to small claims court. Take a look for yourself. It's a shame World Stone refused to stand behind their work. I recommend you avoid World Stone and go with a quality company. read more

So.. Long story. but we ordered countertops from another granite place. World stone was going to be fabricators. They came out.. measured... Came out again.. had to measure the island again bc we were increasing the size significantly. They said I would need brackets to hold the countertop on since the overhang was going to be bigger. Fine. Cut to day of installation... Several things went wrong in my opinion. First.. While removing part of the countertop, they tore open a section of the corner of the wall. Ok.. Well that happens I guess. Second, while cutting out the cooktop section, it dropped and cracked a hole in my lower cabinet section. Ok. Then.. Come to find out.. the brackets were not going to work out. According to the installer, I needed large corbels instead. So I call the office.. Speak to a couple people about it.. And I was told I should really have never extending the island that much as it is really too much weight. (To that I reply, "shouldn't someone have mentioned that to me?" I am not a professional granite installation place. They knew what I wanted for months, and now they spring this on me??) Also.. The wet bar area I have already had a sink that I thought I should keep. Well, come to also find out, they have to take my sink back to the shop to cut to size, so I am without that section of countertop for about 5 days. When I talked to the office about this, they said, "well we have sinks here that we normally use".. AGAIN... NOBODY mentioned that to me!! EVER!! I assumed when they came to LASER measure my kitchen, they would get the dimensions of the sink too. But no... Also, they never mentioned that getting a sink from them was even an option. Also, unlike some other granite companies I have dealt with in the past, World stone WILL NOT unhook sinks for you (or disposals). So you have to either know how to do it yourself, or have a plumber come out the day of installation to uninstall, then return 24 hours later to re-hook up your sink(s). All around it was kind of a cluster. I WILL NOT be using them EVER again. EVER!! I think they might be a tad cheaper then some other places, but spend the money and save yourself the headache !!! read more

My builder used these people to put in marble countertops with sinks in 3 bathrooms. These countertops have stains that will not come out. I am a senior citizen and I have not used any harsh chemicals. I have tried calling more than 4 times to talk with someone to get more information on what can be done. They will NOT CALL YOU BACK! Poor customer service. I would not recommend this company. read more

Honestly the actual installment was fine, it looks nice! The only issue I have is their lack of communication. It's absolutely horrible! They are horrible at responding as in calling customers back. I've left several messages and not once did they call me back. I had to keep calling Just to get the ball rolling. They also are horrible at informing customers prior to installment what needs to be done. I also would have thought they'd call me after the service was done to ask how it went or if I had any concerns but I guess once they get paid, the money is all that matters to them! read more

Every aspect of dealing with Denise at World Stone was perfect! She took care of us and answered all of our (many) questions we had. We truly felt like she went the extra mile to help us. The installers that were sent were very professional. I could tell they knew exactly what they were doing, they also wasted no time getting it done! Our kitchen looks great! So I wanted to wait until this experience was over before I left a review. In the beginning the service was great. No issues. Jamie walked around with me explaining the different selections for what I could do. No issues there. Then after I had selected I was told I would get the layout by Friday but most likely Monday (this was Wednesday). That didn't happen until Thursday the day before the scheduled install. Hard to believe if I didn't agree it still would have been done on time. Next, I got a call the install was going to be pushed to 1pm from 9am. Sure, fine. I called at 430 and was told by two people that I was still on track for an install that night. By 8pm no contact or notification that it wasn't going to happen and surprise they were closed for the weekend. I had the sink/water and old countertops removed in preparation. So I had nothing until I called them Monday morning pretty upset. They worked a miracle and my countertops arrived Monday afternoon. My story must have made it to the top bc I was contacted this morning to tell me they're sorry and refund 10%. The countertops look great but the experience was less than expected. I would recommend them for the quality but be prepared to work around their schedule. Thank you for reading. read more
