Not really a fan of high priced shopping areas but my daughter told my wife and I to come check out a few cool spots. Street parking was a bit tricky and saw the parking patrol officer nailing a bunch of cars with tickets. I was told to wait until after season due to congestion, so we listened and came on a weekend. Most of the stores were empty of customers as we walked by. Worth Ave has every pricey big brand purse store including of course Gucci, Louie Viutton and Chanel. But we came here to visit the beach at the end of Worth Ave and it was "worth" the trip. I recommend the couple streets just off Worth Ave to visit like the Colony Hotel and the Brazilian Court where they offer classy bars with stiff drinks, food and some humans. My opinion is dont bother with the stores unless you like to burn money. read more

So many of my friends have been to Worth Ave in West Palm Beach and went today to see for myself what all the fuss was about. The hubby got frustrated with the street parking but found a few spots near the beach and took a few pictures then walked two blocks to the shops. 1-15-24 Worth Avenue it's been awhile. Last time I was here was probably 30 years ago as I needed to find a Pierre Deux store for a project I was working on. Pierre Deux is long gone but Worth Avenue was as picture perfect as ever. Luckily found parking in a small lot that they valet for you right off the Main Street. It gave us plenty of time to shop not having to worry about time limits for the spaces on the main avenue. All the names you would want are located here Chanel,Ralph Lauren, David Yurman,Lily Pulitzer,Vineyard Vines. I was like a kid in a candy store didn't know which store to go to first. Everything was first class and perfectly presented. Definitely not like the rest of the World. More beautiful to me than the comparative of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Definitely will be back again sooner than later this year. Great shopping experience where you feel safe to shop at as well. read more

Interestingly, Worth Avenue, before it became a high end shopping destination, was named Jungle Road. Jungle Road was part swamp where alligators, snakes and water foul called home. This is literally the rodeo drive of Florida but SO much better and bigger than the version in Beverly Hills and FAR less pretentious. For one this is literally steps away from magnificently turquoise beaches, with lots of shops and hidden gems throughout. Look for beautiful coral architecture, fountains and flowers. Worth Ave. a destination stop for anyone visiting Palm Beach. The avenue is 4 blocks long and runs from A1A - Ocean Blvd to Lake Worth Ave. Both sides of the street are lined with high end luxury retail stores and restaurants. Here you will find Palm Beach society at it's finest. There's great people watching, great shopping and great restaurants. Limos and Bentleys line street with lots of pink and yellow cashmere walking around. Tiffanys, Neiman Marcus, Bottega Veneta, Channel, just to name a few. Great restaurants here too. Taboo was always a Kennedy hangout, Bice and one of my favorites for a special occasion dinner Renatos. The street is beautifully lined with Palm trees and classic architecture. It's old-world European beauty is something not to be missed. So you wonder why it's not 5 star? On any given day, this should be a 5-star review, but I had to knock off a star, because of certain things I witnessed. 1. I must have missed the memo, but on Worth Ave. Covid does not exist! No one was wearing a mask. Young, old, no one. 2. Stores- most company owned stores had mask rules, except Starbucks. I witnessed groups of people walking in and out of the coffee house without masks. Tiffanys, Tourneau and most Corporate stores, employees had masks on. Some of the others - No. I walked past a jeweler, where no one in the store, shoppers or employees had masks. Peoples choice to mask up or not is theirs. But it was quite obvious on this street in January no one cared. There were plenty of signed but they were ignored. If you're visiting Palm Beach this winter season and you believe in masking up...proceed with caution because the streets are crowded. read more

Worth Avenue is the four block luxury destination of the uber-wealthy ending at the Atlantic Ocean. Even if you aren't dripping in diamonds or carrying a Birkin Bag you are still free to window shop. Worth Avenue was born from the Addison Mizner creation of the super exclusive Everglades Club in 1918. It attracted merchants to move into the area looking to escape the higher rent at the Beaux Arts Building. Addison named it Worth Avenue to evoke a connection to Lake Worth where Henry Flagler had built the Royal Poinciana Hotel. The first two shopping streets created were Via Mizner and Via Parigi, named for developers Addison Mizner and Paris Singer. The Everglades Club would host fashion show lunches that launched the careers of fashion designers like Valentino and Givenchy, Soon it became known as the upscale place to shop by the 1920's. The association the Merchants of Worth was formed in 1938 to set guidelines for how stores should look. It incorporated in 1961. Today you can shop at many end end shops like Chanel, Escada, Jimmy Choo, Lily Pulitzer, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, and Tiffany and Co. just to name a few. I love to explore the different via's which means paths. My favorite is Via Mizner. Each via has fountains, balconies, courtyards, restaurants, shops, and apartments. Windows display mannequins draped in elegant rich materials, shoes of the highest quality, designer handbags, jewelry so sparkly you'd think you were looking directly at the sun. But wait, it's not just the best window shopping you also get to feast your eyes upon beautiful cars you may not even have known existed as only the finest shop Worth Ave. This street is dripping with elegance and oozing with poise. This is a beautiful spot that's a must visit if you are here in Palm Beach or in nearby West Palm. Worth Avenue is similar to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, but next to the beautiful ocean. You have a plethora of high end shops here like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Tiffany and many others. I love the architecture, it makes me feel like I'm back in Southern California. Even if you aren't into high end shopping, it's still worth a browse. We have been here a couple of times on Sunday, most of the stores are closed that day, but it's still fun to window shop. I love coming up here at Christmas time to see all of the beautiful decorations. Be sure to check out the giant tree by Chanel and the decorations in the courtyard behind Louis Vuitton. We usually park on a side street, parking is free for up to 2 hours. That should be plenty of time for a quick visit to this luxe street. read more

Wow! Some of the best shopping in the USA! Great stores and some very good, salespeople. They are not pushy but are very helpful. The old jewelry stores sell old estate jewelry. Some of the stores have the ole ambience and decor. The different corridors are the best and hidden gems. Gucci, you better bring out the black AMEX. Saks is sprawling and has an abundance of treats for women. Parking? Valet from $25-$50, pay it and avoid a ticket. Definitely an outing with the wife was incredible and a very close community of Palm Beaches. read more

I love going to Worth Ave. It's ritsy and there are so many shops and pleases to stop in. It is however really expensive, as in "break the bank" expensive. But if you just want to take in the atmosphere I cannot think of anywhere better. And there are a few really cool places that have affordable items. Look for Sequin in particular. There are also some great eateries. And it's just visually lovely. On a day that's warm and not to hot, it's the perfect place to stop and spend some quality time. read more

This is the Rodeo Drive of the East Coast or, having strolled down both, I'd honestly say that the Rodeo Drive is the Worth Avenue of the West Coast as I find Worth Avenue by far the better of the two; it's much more pleasantly strollable. I really enjoy walking Worth Avenue while somewhat impertinently drooling and ogling over all of the lavish, opulent Ferraris, Maseratis, Astons, Rolls and Bentleys parked along the curb by the many shoppers shopping in stores handling wares I can ill afford. There is little doubt that Worth Avenue, the shops along it and the shops themselves represent the highest of the high end upper market of America along with what is most likely its highest concentration of wealth. Besides all the Gucci, Cartier and other well known upper end brand name stores there are also a wide variety of custom one of a kind, one only shops carrying a wide variety of items, many of which one won't find anywhere else. Though I might not be able to afford any of them, and even if I could I probably wouldn't buy them, I find them all intriguing and certainly worth looking at. There's only about four blocks of it but some of the block areas are rather nifty designed two tier or doubles with little alleyways to the back of the stores not only containing some nifty artisan shops but also (my favorite) being a few little affordable cafes. For what it is, being an ultra high end shopping district it is a five star Wooooo! as good as it gets location. If we'd go that far, but we stop at four, I'd also have to give it a five $$$$$ award too, since it is overall pricier than four $'s. read more

"Well you went uptown riding in your limousine With your fine Park Avenue clothes You had the Dom Perignon in your hand And the spoon up your nose" - Billy Joel I wonder if Billy Joel ever got the chance to visit Worth Avenue, or perhaps he did, and that is what inspired him to write that song about rich, spoiled people who must naturally command attention, no matter the circumstance. You don't have to stroll down Worth Avenue to find such luxury cars as the limousines Billy sang about, the impeccable, waxed Bentleys, Ferraris, Maseratis, and of course, Rolls Royces, fully equipped with a private chauffeur and all. You will see these the second you step out of your car, as there is such an abundance of them. Don't even think of bringing your beat rice burner, unless you really want people to look down upon you. It should also be a given, then, that nearby stores and restaurants will give you a hard time about parking in front of their establishments, claiming it is valet. As Worth Avenue is in the 33480 zip code, which is the wealthiest in America, you can expect people to be dressed to the nines, and happy to flaunt it. Worth Avenue was founded by Addison Mizner, and if you are familiar with Palm Beach County, you probably have heard his name more than once (Mizner Park Amphitheater, Mizner Park...). Mr. Mizner was a high-living architect, who at one time had a pet spider monkey on his shoulder, sort of like Michael Jackson and Bubbles, the chimp. They were constant companions and he would never leave home without him. Mr. Mizner was very fond of the classic Mediterranean architecture, and so he built this Mediterranean Revival-style shopping center, to accommodate the wealthy international visitors to the area. He named it after Lake Worth, and meant to piggyback on Henry Flagler's wealthy hotel, by luring Flagler's hotel guests to this posh private entertainment hub. The arrangement worked out very well. As you roam the whitewashed Mediterranean alleys and courtyards and the elegant shops with colorful awnings and wrought iron balconies, you may feel you're in Venice. Seeing Italian luxury stores like Gucci, may actually reinforce that ideal. Worth Avenue has seen the Kennedys, Trumps, Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, Singers, and other dynasty names, including Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Surprise, surprise, this is probably as close as you'll ever get to royalty -- having the privilege of being able to retrace their steps on Worth Avenue and knowing their feet once touched the exact spot you're standing in. Here, you will also encounter Villa Mizner, which is the only home ever constructed on Worth Avenue. It features Arabic and Mediterranean architecture -- as eccentric as its owner. If you're into the supernatural, it is said that the home is haunted, as there are two graves on the property -- that of the spider monkey Johnnie Brown (who once won votes when he ran for Palm Beach mayor), and also a former owner's Scottish Terrier. While you would think that someone who built such a stunning, wealthy shopping strip must have been wealthy and lived a life of prosperity, sadly, Mizner died broke. Land deals went awry, and to top things off, the Great Depression plunged through whatever savings he may have had. Sadly, the lifestyle he was used to was no longer his, and he was shunned by the very people that frequented Worth Avenue, the wealthy society he helped create. No one knows what tomorrow will bring, I suppose, including those lucky enough to own one of the charming, Old World residences in the many hidden courtyards and gardens on Worth Avenue. While the gardens are accessible to all, private residences are chained off. Still, it feels as if you have traveled to a small village in Venice, with cozy courtyards. It is definitely worth a visit, if not for the people watching, then to take in the romantic courtyards and the beautiful architecture. An evening stroll through the quiet, dimly lit streets, would make a great ending to a romantic date night. I have yet to come during daytime, but at night, the streets are mostly deserted, save for outdoor restaurants. If you want to see a $300,000 dining table, which is more expensive than the median priced Palm Beach County home, the A B Levy Gallery has your number. Most of us will think of this beautiful store as more a museum than a retailer, but to me it's a lot of fun to check out the amazing craftsmanship on offer everywhere. $18,000 Tiffany lamps abound, and there are even a few $200-odd tabletop sculptures of fish and butterflies for the cheapskates among us. I have always found the snobby image of Palm Beach as something of a myth. If you approach the salespeople honestly and say you just love the museum like atmosphere of the store, they will be very nice and friendly. My wonderful saleslady even tried to find something cheap enough for me to take home :). A B Levy Gallery is at 211 Worth Avenue. Outside of the Gallery is Worth Avenue itself. The recent $12 million restoration is just gorgeous. Like a great movie, the money went straight to the screen. Perhaps the best aspect of Worth Avenue is the free auto show. Here, you will see cars you never expected to see even once in your life. Rolls, Bentleys, Mercedes and Aston Martins are as common as Honda Accords elsewhere. (Of course you will have a tough time finding an Accord unless you came in one.) And everything, whether it is a 2011 Volante or a 1978 Mercedes SL, is polished to perfection. If you resent the rich, you probably won't like Worth Avenue. But remember, the rich are creating jobs for us all, from the aforementioned exceptionally well informed saleslady at A B Levy to the people who paint and polish the yachts and maintain the luxury cars. In the end, if you want to see how the other 0.00001% live, Worth Avenue's the place to start. It's hard not to appreciate the effort and care people put into running these gorgeous stores. read more

I ambled through yesterday, a Friday afternoon. The entire area is a study in charm and relaxation. It's a sublime atmosphere of historical preservation carried out and maintained by residents who have done well in the world. The shop assistants were welcoming, which has not always been the case. I did observe that regular customers were allowed to forego masks. As a retired MD, when I asked if it was possible to enforce the shop's posted regulation for all, I was met with an arched eyebrow. read more

I love coming here for the sights and atmosphere, not so much for the shopping. I live in Palm Beach County, and I find that the locals I talk to tend to give me blank, confused stares whenever I bring up Lake Trail or Worth Ave., yet whenever I come here, I hear the most wonderful languages and accents from all over the world. In other words, this place is famous worldwide but seemingly unknown to South FL residents. Think of it as a hidden City Place behind City Place. It's just a lot more remote (prepare to do some walking if you're not comfortable parallel parking) and expensive. Here you'll find some restaurants (some day I will eat at one), a Starbucks, and tons of ultra expensive department stores. I like to come here for a stroll every week, and if the sun is brutal, I'll stop in at Starbucks for a refreshment before going back to my usual parking spot near Royal Poinciana Way. It's also right by the beach, so you can stop there to feel the relaxing breeze. Even if you're not into browsing or buying from stores like Louis Vuitton and Neiman Marcus, it's still worth trekking over to Worth Ave., because it's one of the most interesting spots in South Florida. Wow I wish I made more... but its always nice to just window shop nonetheless. This has to be the cleanest street in Florida... and quietest as well. Every place seems to be pet friendly, and there's a wide range of designers, art galleries, jewelry stores, and antiques... Only downside - don't go on Sundays. While it's a nice stroll, that's about all you'll do because most places are closed. If you're looking to shop - come on Saturday. read more

I give this 5 stars b/c it's peaceful, pretty, not heavily trafficked and just unlike other shopping areas I've been to- Now, there is no way I could ever shop here, I mean this caters to those silver spoon born and raised West Palm Beach residents, or the Europeans that reside there-Or just those lucky people that make tons of money... There is a Saks and Neiman which I could do, but there are a lot of other stores I've never heard of- There are restaurants tucked away in the little hidden gardens, water fountains, tons of flowers and art...a romantic area to stroll through- On Sunday's it's rather dead, I believe some stores open around 1:00 but it's a great time to explore without having tons of people looking at you-You can snap pictures with no one in your way- I enjoyed strolling through here AM and PM, recommend to all who are in the area- Oh, there is parking available on Worth Ave or Ocean Drive, so easy to access- read more

Usually I Yelp something after trying it. In this case, I'm Yelping something due to an inability to try it. We set out on Sunday morning, driving over an hour for an over the top "shop till we drop" session. We arrived at 12:05 and were able to find a great parking spot on the main drag. The only problem is there isn't a single, solitary store open on Sunday, so after walking by two stores we got back in the car and headed elsewhere to spend our shopping dollars. I'm not clear on why major department stores and specialty shops would not be open on Sunday, but it seems archaic to me. We were left to ponder if the store personnel work too hard during the week and the stores feel they need a day of rest, recuperation, and relaxation, or if the stores take in so much money during the week they don't need to be open on Sunday. Perhaps the town doesn't want the revenues or the mega rich don't want Sunday traffic on the roads that go by their mansions. Whichever it is, not being open on Sunday is as Julia Roberts would say, "a big mistake"! Here's a shopping tip: THERE'S NOTHING OPEN HERE ON SUNDAY!!!! What a beautiful place. The natural décor, architecture and landscaping were superb. This was definitely the most beautiful part of town in Palm Beach. I loved the hidden shops right off of Worth Avenue. They were tucked away between the buildings with tropical plants and classy sidewalks and staircases. I didn't think there'd be a shopping area to top Bal Harbour, but this avenue is way up there. Kinda like a FL Rodeo Drive, this outdoor stretch of 3-4 main blocks had the highest concentrated display of wealth I've seen in awhile. Just look at the street parking... All the shopping centers, boutiques, and galleries exude upscale. The architecture and vias are picturesque. If you're around the area, you could also check out the Breakers resort, which is equally impressive. read more

Most of the stores are art galleries and jewelry stores, but there are your top brand flagship stores like Chanel, Gucci, Michael Kors, Saks, Tiffany, and Neiman Marcus. The street is not that long, and more than anything, you can see clean streets, nicely landscaped/tree-lined alleys, and marble buildings. Worth Avenue is a nice stroll, but it's not very practical if you don't have money to blow. The east end of the street runs into the beach; that is pretty awesome right there. read more
