Built more than 14 years ago, this shopping center has been popular since it opened. It's located just west of Lyons Road and North of Atlantic Avenue in western Delray Beach. It's considered a combination shopping, dining and entertainment destination and one of the newer ones in Delray. It's got a plethora of stores and about 9 restaurants as well as places for yogurt, chocolates, and candies. Some of the restaurants like Burt's have been there since it opened. And some (like Terra) are newer. A few favorites have closed, but there's always something to see while strolling the easily walkable center. At the northern end, is the movie theater and entertainment center with bowling and arcade games, etc. We had stopped for dinner with friends at Batch and then enjoyed strolling and exploring. It was a lovely comfortable night to be out and about. And a lot of other folks agreed. read more

Rain or shine today I was going to try the Delray Marketplace. Found free parking at the east end of the plaza. Walked around while checking out each of the boutique shops and eating appetizers at a few restaurants. A small storm blew in and emptied out most of the customers but I stayed strong and ended the day at Batch Southern Kitchen for a final drink. Next time here I'm going to watch a movie at the IMAX theatre. read more

It was a cloudy day and headed out to the Delray Marketplace to hunt for several items - a location for a rehearsal dinner party, a bite to eat and clothing for the wife. Started out at Burt & Max's for appetizers and drinks which has the perfect sized area to host a rehearsal dinner party. The shops were very similar to Mizner Park in Boca Raton. Some of the stores and eateries included: Lucille's BBQ Hoffman's Chocolates IMAX Theatres Batch New Southern Kitchen Dos Amigos Tacos Revival Boutique It'Sugar Laughing Lizards Boutique Chase Bank Publix Versona Techy Shoes N More Posh Design Studio Chico's Orange Theory Fitness Stretch Lab If it rains just be aware that there are limited overhangs at the storefronts, which we noticed today during a quick torrential downpour. We went to a restaurant for a Thanksgiving meal, and this year was different from last November. In previous years, we hosted at least 30 people for the holidays, but now we are "empty nesters." This year, we made a reservation at the Thatch restaurant in the Delray Marketplace. Knowing it was close to the movie theater, we decided to arrive half an hour early to secure parking. To our pleasant surprise, there were plenty of free parking spaces available. Even though we arrived early, we had a choice of tables. Our waiter, Sebastian, was wonderful. He brought us tastings of various wines and a sample of draft beer. They also served some delicious country rolls, which, although not included in the prix fixe meal plan, were worth trying. We also ordered a salad, which was not part of the prix fixe menu, but again, it was worth it. The main meal consisted of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with plenty of fresh vegetables and white meat. We didn't feel rushed and took our time before dessert was served. For three people, with alcoholic beverages and a generous tip, the total bill was about $180--a good meal at a reasonable price. This review is for the FREE (or by donation) YOGA ON THE GREEN. Kim Rose leads a yoga class here every Wednesday morning. It's a beautiful spot with plenty of space and parking. Her directions are clear and she models/demonstrates most of the positions. The class is suitable for all levels and a great way to start the day. She provides a warm environment where everyone is welcome. I've taken her yoga classes several times and like them very much. Plus, being here at the marketplace, you can have breakfast at Skillets afterward. read more

Many new shops and restaurants, a lot of the old restaurants and stores have gone out. Walking around after dinner it was surprising how many businesses were closed by six or 7 o'clock. Movies, bowling, banks, restaurants & ice cream shops appear to be the only businesses that were busy on a beautiful night. read more

Now that more and more people are living west of the Turnpike and don't want to go east to Mizner Park and other places closer to Federal Highway and A1A, we have retail and entertainment destinations like Delray Marketplace. We were here for Ocean One but the shopping center includes a dozen other eating opportunities from chocolates to barbecue and donuts. Lots of fashion shops including Chico's and Ann Taylor and Rooms-To-Go. And yes, there's even a Publix here. The shopping center is beautiful. Well manicured, well decorated and in excellent condition. There is plenty of parking (though I would guess it fills up even more around Christmas shopping season). Based on its westerly location in Delray Beach, Delray Marketplace caters primarily to those who don't want to spend 30 minutes driving east and park to either Downtown Delray or south to Town Center Mall -- let alone the 40 minutes to Mizner Park. Delray Marketplace offers the alternative to those who live in western Delray and Boca, as well as even western Boynton Beach. The design is certainly appealing with its L-shape design through the marketplace, past the palm-tree landscaping and fountains. It's nice to walk down the brick sidewalks on your way from one shop and restaurant to another. There's plenty of parking on the front-drive through the marketplace as well as behind the shops on both sides. Since it's opening, it's a good spot to shop for more upscale items, dine at one of the restaurants such as Burt & Max's or Batch, see a movie, or shop at Publix. Despite the pandemic, the marketplace is still a hot spot to shop and dine; however, there have been more than a couple of closes as a result. But there are still enough stores and restaurants open to continue serving as a hot spot. read more

Delray Marketplace is located way out west on Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. That being said it is just west of the turnpike making it only a 20 minute drive for me. Opened in 2013, some stores have come and gone, so long Charming Charlie while others have stayed the course like Burt & Max's. I was recently here for dinner at the brand new Pagoda and this trip I came in search of dinner after a hike at nearby Green Cay. If you visit the Marketplace today you will find an aesthetically pleasing outdoor shopping center anchored by two large fountains. Parking can be somewhat difficult depending on when you visit but I have my favorite area staked out now. Dining options include a brand new Batch Gastropub, Burt & Max's Grill, Lucille's bad to the Bone BBQ, the new Pagoda Kitchen, Dos Amigos Tacos, The Agency Kitchen & Bar, and Ocean's One Bar & Grill that had a DJ and dancing on the patio the night I visited. Grab dessert at Menchie's Frozen Yogurt or ice cream and chocolates from Hoffman's. You can bowl at Penny Lanes or catch a movie at Paragon Theaters. Shop at Apricot Lane, Chico's. Loft. and White House/ Black Market. Work out at Orange Theory Fitness or paint yourself a one of a kind masterpiece at Color Me Mine. You can get waxed, a hair style, and your nails dome and there is also a Publix, bank, and dentist. I like how this shopping center has a good mix of entertainment, dining, shopping, and service options. Parking could be better but it is not annoying enough to keep me away. The more I explore this shopping center, the more I like it. I recent discovery that I enjoyed is Dos Amigos Tacos. I am looking forward to coming back to try more of the restaurants. read more

It's nice to have an outdoor shopping center in West Delray. For many years, there was not much out there so the addition of Delray Marketplace really makes a difference. There is a great variety of shops and restaurants both including a candy store and ice cream shop, plus a movie theater with bowling alley in it. It's easily accessible from both Lyons Road and Atlantic, with a large parking lot in the back if you can't find spaces in front of the shops. There is an outdoor stage too for small scale events. It's kept very clean with beautiful water fountains and landscaping which really makes a pleasant environment for taking a leisurely stroll. The only downside is that the retail shops are pretty expensive so for the average shopper, you won't be making many purchases. read more

My wife and I & friends have been coming to this place for years. We frequently eat at Burt and Max's Restaurant. We went this past Wed evening after finishing dinner at B&M's, we walked over to see a very cool Duran Duran tribute band. Didn't even know there would be a band there. Nice grassy area to sit on, but we didn't have any lawn chairs. Band was great - it was more like a real concert. I guess we'll have to look at the website ?? and see what other bands they have there - I didn't see any posters or flyers about upcoming bands. Anyway, nice place to eat and if you can catch a band on the night you're there, so much the better. read more

Boutique shops, a movie theater and plenty of eateries as well as an open air theater (I came here to see a friends son perform here today) is what you will find at Delray Marketplace. This plaza has been here for over 7 years and gives west delray a touch of class. I shopped here the last time I was here but today I was here to see a friends son perform in his band. We had to bring our own chairs which was fine the ONLY drawback were the nats and flies that bombarded us throughout the performance. That was horrible. we even moved our chairs a few times but the bugs never let up. IF you have never been here please take the drive west of the turnpike on atlantic ave and check out Delray Marketplace. Its worth it minus the bugs. read more

My new hang out place! Within three weeks I have been here 3 times and loving it. Living in Boynton, this place is ten to fifteen minutes away. While driving it seems like nothing is there and only a few housing communities have recently developed. However, you enter in Delray Marketplace, and it seems like a ton of people walking around, eating, people watching/movie watching and just enjoying life. There seems to be a huge population growth in that area with people living near by in the GL communities. I love the layout of this center. I wouldn't consider it a shopping center since there are not many shops, I think the restaurants seems to dominate the marketplace as well as the movie theater. The movie theater has a restaurant and bowling within the premises. The parking is ample and there a huge lot on the south of the plaza. In restaurants they have 2-3 pizza shops, Japanese, American,Spanish cuisine and more. Overall, a good place to go which resembles Mizner Park a bit in my view however less chaotic parking finding issues.~ read more

When you go out to the Delray Marketplace you're really traveling out to the hinterlands, for me to the very edges my little Floridian universe. The area has only recently been developed and is in fact so new that the overlay roadway maps on my onboard GPS failed me indicating there were no roads where in fact there were roads. Whoever dumped a lot of money into the development of the Delray Marketplace, the architecture and design of which are sort of in keeping, at least to my eye, with that of the Mizner like Mediterranean generally associated with Boca Raton. Though the parking situation seems somewhat flawed, it's adequate enough. The restaurants, shops and bars are all sort of on the upscale. Everything is on the somewhat pricey side for what you get or for what they have which, when shopping or dinning in such areas, is normally expected. The only thing that bothers me about it is that it just represents more of Florida's sprawling, never ending development and I can't help but wonder or think that this might have been an area that should have remained natural or was once a part of the endangered Everglades system. But, I don't know, and could well be wrong on that. As far as open air shopping areas, malls or marketplaces go, it's really very nice, pleasant to see and walk around. read more

I love this shopping/dining/entertainment destination. I'm all about convenience; and Delray Marketplace has it all. Multiple restaurants, candy and ice cream stores, a movie theater, nail salon, cool boutiques, a few chain stores and even a Publix, what more can you possibly need? My favorite restaurant is Burt and Max's, favorite boutique is Francesca's, favorite chain store is Yankee Candle and the perfect place for a sweet treat without blowing a ton of calories is Menchie's for some awesome frozen yogurt. There's also a Verizon store which came in handy when I needed a screen protector. People complain about the parking & I just don't get it. There's a huge lot, a ton of parking spaces within the plaza & valet parking. I never had an issue finding parking and I have been here several times. It's not hard, trust me. During season the Marketplace is as busy as Mizner Park in Boca. As much as I love Mizner, I have to say I love the Delray Marketplace even more. Perfect for families looking to catch a movie and grab a bite. Perfect for a "girls day" of shopping, pampering and of course lunch or happy hour. Delray Marketplace is also the ideal spot for date night. Burt and Max's has a beautiful glowing fire pit which automatically creates a casual romantic ambiance which is perfect for grabbing a drink and appetizers or even staying for dinner. After dinner go for a walk and explore the stores or catch a movie and end the night with a sweet treat at Menchie's or Hoffman's. I always have a great time at the Delray Marketplace and I hope you do too. read more

This is on the corner of West Atlantic and Lyons Road approximately a mile away from 441. It is a fairly new plaza (opened Feb. 2013) full of upper middle classed restaurants and stores and it also has Publix and a movie theater. It is a very beautiful place, almost just as beautiful as Boca Raton's Mizner's Park. However, since this marketplace is still very new, parking is still an issue because overflow parking is on unpaved grassy areas. I think they may just still be working out financing and landscaping kinks to have a better idea how big the parking lot should be to accommodate the daily quota of employees and customers. I am looking forward to the newer stores that have yet to be moved in and also that they do figure out what to do with the restaurants that are successful and the ones that are really lacking *coughs* Cabo Flats *coughs*. read more

There are so many places to shop in the Delray area. This outdoor marketplace is wonderful because of the variety of quality stores they offer and because of the beautiful architecture. Beautiful shopping center with lots of boutiques and non-chain restaurants. Palm trees with sunsets create a picturesque atmosphere. Lots of the boutiques are a little pricey- $150 for a sweatshirt- yikes! However, there were some spots like Apricot Lane that were reasonably priced to start and then true steals on clearance. I wanted to buy gifts for myself and everyone I know at Pizazz. It's a great option for downtown shopping without having to go downtown. read more

**This review is for the plaza only** If you don't live in Delray admittedly this plaza is a little out of the way. It's located at the NW corner of Lyons Rd & Atlantic Ave. which is about a mile west of the Turnpike. However, I think it's well worth the drive! I shop here often because even though It's not a large plaza with just a few dozen retail stores, there's some decent major retailers. Among them, Yankee Candle Factory, The Loft, White House / Black Market, Chicos, Charming Charlies with even more opening soon. But, the biggest reason I like to shop here? Since it is a smaller plaza, not only is the parking easier, the shopping is MUCH more relaxing than at the same stores in Town Centre (Boca Raton) or any of their other locations in local malls. Also, beside the major retailers there are some great local stores & chains. One of the stores I here is Pizzazz; an awesome store for accessories, collectibles & gifts. They carry items from Alex & Ani, Brighton, Jack Rogers and more. But there's also Hoffman's Chocolates, Revival Boutique, Shoe Garden, Oh My Bod and so many stores that I love, that I can't even name them all. But, they're all ABSOLUTELY worth checking out! But honestly..... retail isn't even half of it here. There's so much else to do. There's over a dozen restaurants, almost all with full bars, but all of them with outdoor seating and all dog friendly! There's also a bowling alley, a movie theater, a ceramic painting store called Color Me Mine that you can "make & take" ceramics. It's a great place for private parties with kids or something different to do on a girls or couples "night out" There's also several places to pamper yourself; DekaLash, My Day Spa, The Man Cave, Hair Studio Artists and I'm sure more that I'm forgetting. But I guess you get the point.... if you've never been here, I highly recommend it. And If you've been here but it's been awhile, you should check out what's new. It's worth the trip. read more

Clyde and I went to Delray Marketplace to participate in a pink event in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was held at the amphitheater. We became part of a human pink ribbon . We were given pink caps and many people wore pink clothing. Afterward we walked around and looked at the shops, peaked inside a few of the restaurants, and went to Happy Hour at Apeiro. Several of the restaurants have Happy Hour seven days a week. The Marketplace is fairly new, built in an area that is still rural. They have a free parking lot, although there's also valet parking. The design is beautiful with soft colors, fountains, and lots of green spaces. Most of the restaurants have outside and inside seating. The Marketplace also has a movie theater, Publix, and bowling. There's plenty of events and entertainment on the lawn at the Amphitheater. read more

As a fan of the Delray strip east on Atlantic, I had no idea this gem was hidden (in plain sight) just west of the Turnpike. I arrived early for an event so I decided to risk the elements for a sightseeing tour. As I wandered, I found one store after another that piqued my curiosity and required a closer look. I didn't have time to walk the entire plaza but I did like the variety of shop in the area I was able to cover. Don't think this implies this s the perfect shopping stop. This evening was rainy so the open space did not provide any protection from the elements and without leaving the storefront strip, parking was busy. Being that I knew I would be walking back to my car alone, the back lots didn't seem appealing to me so I waited for a space to open. I do like this plaza and want to come back to try some more of the dining choices. Happy shopping! read more

An oasis in a still developing area (when I say developing, I mean there are lots of farms and open space around the area). The only other things in the area is the turnpike and farmland as of now, and the Delray Marketplace is the perfect destination to bring this locale to life. This outdoor shopping center has a movie theater, bowling alley, restaurants, shopping, ice cream and much more. Delray Marketplace is for sure eye-catching, especially at night when they light the torches at the entrance ways. Most restaurants have outdoor seating, so on nice days it's the perfect area to eat outside and just enjoy the scenery. At nighttime they have events sometimes, so lots of action always going on. Most of the actual stores are pretty high end, so are the restaurants and theater. What I'm basically saying is don't expect any dollar stores to open up here anytime soon. The whole parking ordeal is not the best. During the day it is a much better situation, but at night and especially on weekends be prepared to circle the lots for a while. Parking is slanted, so it's basically all one way driving on the inside of the shopping complex. On the surrounding perimeter of the complex the lots are a bit bigger, and more parking in those areas, especially around the movie theater and the Publix. But even then the spots as of now are just grass spots, not even paved, as of now. Delray Marketplace is a beautiful shopping complex with plenty of room to grow and expand. I wish there was more parking, and more general low-brow stores to have a wider appeal, but other than that this place is pretty perfect. read more

I like my oysters FRESH and PLUMPED ready to be savored and I didn't get this so now I feel traumatized and not sure I really want to go back to try something else on their menu even though I would of liked to because this place is KNOWN for seafood. This is a nice little shopping center kind of out in the middle of nowhere in west Delray. We come here once in awhile for movies (Franks Cinebowl). The shopping center itself is very new, modern, and pretty, and it is fun to walk around and browse a bit. I go with three stars rather than four for a few reason. One is that parking here is ridiculous. If you can help it don't try to drive down any of the roads that go through the shopping area, stay on the outskirts. Every time I have come here, granted it has always been a weekend night, we have parked way out back behind the movie theater. I don't mind a little walking at all, but when you have to stalk people to get a spot and then still have to walk the lot's length to the shopping center you have to start to question the design. My other issue is that I don't really think there are any great culinary options in here. There is a pizza place, a beer place, a Shula burger, just nothing that really excited me, and honestly nothing with great Yelp reviews for food. There is a Japango but it has the lowest Yelp reviews of all Japango's and I just wasn't in the mood for sushi this particular night. Since this is kind of in the middle of nowhere it's either eat in this plaza or drive a bit, but luckily there is a Publix so we were able to get sandwiches for dinner and eat them on one of the benches in the plaza before our movie. My boyfriend joked that it was a homeless persons date, but I really like people watching, and despite how crowded parking was there was plenty of seating around the walkways. I think it's a great place to get a drink, do some shopping, maybe see a movie, but if your main objective is dinner, maybe stop somewhere else first. read more

West Delray Beach has a nice marketplace consisting of shops, restaurants, a grocery store, amphitheater, and a movie theater. You can easily lose track of time browsing through the shops before or after getting a bite or drink at the nearby restaurants. The parking is a hit or miss. There is plenty of free and valet parking, but it tends to fill up fast during the weekends and for special events. I've actually had to park on the outside back side of the movie theater for a special showing one time and it was on a Wednesday evening. However, it's a great place to celebrate any occasion and it's very clean. I have been here numerous times and I always forward to going back. read more

First time there to go to Frank's Cinebowl. Since it was raining we valet parked. Knew it was a mistake when I realized there was no sheltered area leading from car drop off to mall area. Why valet park if you're going to get wet? You know you'll have to wait for your car, what is the advantage? Then at pick up there was no organization of line, no sheltered place to wait. Got wet and bit by mosquitos. Theatre unimpressive, the reserved seats were comfortable but way too close to the screen. The large screen format was nice.
