Wow Shawarma is a cute little family owned shawarma joint with fresh delicious food. I was visiting London for work and staying at the DoubleTree where the hotel restaurant has abysmal hours and an uninspiring menu. So I went for a walk in the dreary rainy weather until I passed this restaurant. I was greeted warmly when I arrived. The spread of toppings for the shawarma wraps and plates looked so colourful and fresh and I simply had to eat here. I got a chicken fattoush salad. It was huge, generously covered with tahini drizzled chicken shawarma, full of fresh lettuce, crunchy pita, cucumber, turnip pickles, regular pickles, tomatoes, red onion...with portions of a delicious red cabbage slaw, garlic sauce, and hummus lining a side of the dish. I managed to eat half of it and took the rest with me for later and finished it at the hotel. I also had an icy aryan drink (yogurt and water) and some homemade walnut baklava that was so good with coffee the next morning. Great family-run place, best shawarma in town. Owner Hasin greets us with a smile every time we stop there for lunch. Chicken shawarma is our "usual" with everything (including the hot sauce!!) and it never disappoints. The restaurant has a several tables to enjoy your meal including 2 tables in the windows so you can enjoy the sunshine and passers by on Clarence Street. Reasonably priced and so flavourful, this place is one of my favourite lunch spots in London Ontario. read more

This place has wonderful fresh and tasty food. I highly recommend. The owners are welcoming and kind and serve generous portions. I placed an order food for my family gathering and they put together a great spread -including a healthy serving of the accompanying sauces and fixings for the chicken and rice They also made a beautiful salad with lots of veggies. Excellent food. Excellent staff and cozy sitting areas downtown. The chicken shawarma meat is crispy and lovely. I have tasted better rice but I have no complaints about this one. You can choose to order and eat the restaurant or in the garden close by. In ordered chicken and rice for $9.99 but it came to about $12 with tax. I truly don't like Canadian hidden taxes but I'll be back at this place again read more

Went to lunch with a good friend of mine today on this superbly warm day, and we decided to come here. Having some Lebanese heritage, I would never pass up this cuisine. I walk by this place everyday on my way to, and home from work, peering inside to see what it looks like and if I can spot their menu. The cafe is small and quaint, and there is such a friendly atmosphere when you walk in. The owners who were working, knew my friend and asked why they haven't seen her in a long time, and asked how she was doing. They know their regulars, which is amazing. I ordered the fattoush salad with feta cheese, and it came with a side of hummus and toum (their very super garlicky sauce) and it was delicious and flavourful. We ate in, and they brought us our food. I'll definitely be coming back here to try their other dishes! read more

I reaaaallllly like this place! Their shawarma fries are delicious! My SO picked up food and he said the customer service was awesome. He also got a chicken shawarma wrap and enjoyed it. I've never been inside this place, so unfortunately I can't account for a dine-in experience. Is this the BEST shawarma? I don't know...there's at least 2 other contenders for that position, and I think it probably comes down to personal preference, portion sizes and prices (I mean its all fairly similar in my opinion). read more

Some of the most down to earth and kind people own this place. I use to go here during my lunch breaks and the owner is always working and he's so kind. The food is also amazing, portion sizes are huge. The chicken and fries are my go to!!! I moved out to Toronto now but you best believe I will be visiting London just for this. read more

Wow... well maybe just call it Middle of the Road Shawarma. I can't knock the staff they were super friendly and though I was kinda dazed and confused they smiled the whole way through which made me smile too. My problem is that I've heard all these great things about it and simply did not live up to it for me. I got the Chicken Shawarma combo and gave my money and waited only to be asked again by the person cooking what I ordered. They didn't seem to communicate back and forth which was fine, as I was able to convey what I'd ordered but did put me off a little. I like that they let you pick what you want on it instead of assuming. I went for hummus, garlic sauce, tomato, onion, lettuce and tahini. I was expecting a flavour bomb but all I got was a bit of a dry fizz. The chicken had parts that were so dried out I had to spit them out and the hummus, garlic sauce and tahini had next to no flavour at all. The saving grace was the seasoned fries which were delicious, albeit a bit soggy by the time I got home but that's on me. I wouldn't rule out trying it again... but I hope next time I get the WOW part of the Shawarma instead. read more

A very delicious chicken shawarma for $5.50 can be had at this joint and it does not disappoint. Super flavourful. I didn't partake in all the toppings yet it was one stuffed pita. Yummy hummus and tahini. Prices do seem very reasonable and the counter staff very personable. Of all the shawarma places in the city, this one has my tummy. read more

We usually go to Barakat or Paramount for Middle eastern food, but decided to try this place on Monday night after reading some good reviews, and it did not disappoint. We got take-out, but there is seating available. From the outside it doesn't look much, but is quite authentic inside. The couple that run the place are very friendly, and although we arrived close to closing time they were delighted to see us. We tried the chicken and beef shawarma entree plates which came with lots of meat which had great flavour, rice, carrot & cabbage salads, green salad with pickles, hummus and garlic. It was delicious and tasted home-made, and very good value. We'll definitely be back! read more

Cozy family-run shawarma place conveniently located in downtown London. First experience there was extremely impressive, the owners gave me an extra point for my Vicinity card (free shawarma sandwich after 9 points I think), an extra pita, and a free pop. Portions were so generous that my meal had to be divided into 1.5 takeout boxes, one for the vegetables/sauces and a smaller one for the rice and chicken. Chicken didn't really look that appetizing initially and had a rough and dry texture visually but the actual taste was much better than expected. Still not that juicy though but that's being a bit picky. read more
