It was so juicy and the meat so flavourful. The onions and the fries inside delicious. I also ordered a side of fries to snack on which are seasoned and pretty tasty. To wash it down I ordered a sour cherry drink. Some people may like it, but it was a little too sweet for me (reading the label 34g of sugar). Overall a great place. Clean, clear menu, friendly staff and of course delicious food. Would go back again to try the chicken wrap and maybe some of the other dishes.

The food was amazing. Generous portion sizes, it was so tasty. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and that is a lot of high quality food. My only criticism of Savta's is that they only have one person working at the front. When you have 3 people waiting in front of you to get help while the 4th is being checked out at the register, it is a really long wait. I can see how this would be a problem at the lunch rush, especially when people have limited time for your lunch break. I think they need 2 people working the front to speed things up. Other than that, I think that Savta's is a great place to eat. I would recommend it to people who live in Newmarket or are just visiting. They are at the corner of Yonge & Mulock.

I'm super disappointed with this place. The man who served me highly suggested the chicken shawarma, so if this is their best wrap it won't get better than what I tried. The ordering process is very similar to a subway, you choose the pita (white or brown), the veggies and the sauces to go on top. The veggies are always fresh and they will stuff plenty of them in your wrap. One thing I was disappointed about was the meat. Unlike other shawarma places where you get fresh rotisserie meat off the spit, the meat here is pre-cooked. However, when I had my souvlaki it all tasted just fine...the chicken was surprisingly moist. They have a few different sauces and those are really delicious! The no-drip wrapping for their pitas is an added bonus to prevent things from getting really messy. What's more to say, they have around 22 different options...about 3-4 of which are vegetarian.
