Maybe the oil needed to be changed? The fries were just awful. They were just soft and soggy, even though I watched them being cooked so I know they were freshly made. At least I was able to take advantage of their Monday/Tuesday special of $5.99 for 2pcs with fries. Did they have an off-day, or has their quality gone down? Hmmm...

I find that the root beer quality is highly inconsistent depending on the franchise location. For example, the Sheppard and Birchmount A&W location has some of the best root beer in the GTA. They serve you the root beer in CHILLED glasses and the root beer is also very fizzy. Perhaps it was because this A&W is part of the food court? The burger patties could've also been hotter when biting into them. I must echo what one other reviewer said about the temperature. Also, while the sides tasted good, the sweet potato fries should've been in the fryer longer (a lot of them were limp and not crispy). The onion rings were also not battered well. The coating was basically flaking off of each piece when I picked them up.
