I am a 69 year old female senior citizen. I believe I was taken advantage of by Wranglin Wranglers (Andrew). I would never use Andrew again or recommend his company to anyone. Initially I was only going to review Andrew's pricing but decided to include his business practice because he attempted to bully me into NOT leaving a 1 star review! I am really scared of this guy and I am not sure if he will retaliate against me but I have decided to finish posting the review I began on 4/2/25. I believe in God and believe he will protect me from this guy.
I don't know how Andrew knew I was writing the review because I had not posted it yet but while I was writing it, he contacted me. Since he appeared to want to resolve my issues, I only posted "I have concerns and am waiting to hear back from company." I told Andrew, "you did not give me receipt." He said "you do not get a receipt if you do not ask for one." He emailed an invoice, which was prepared on 4/2/25, the service was performed on 3/28/25. It looked like he prepared the invoice to substantiate what he charged me. The job, 2 customers before me, I later found out from that customer, did not accept Andrew's $600 "estimate" agreeing to only pay $350 for the job - Andrew accepted. The job that was supposed to be before my 1:00 appointment, Andrew told me cancelled on him. I believe Andrew made up his lost revenue on the removal of my items. Andrew showed up at 11 even though he set the appointment for 1:00. I was on my way to run errands, but he said let me take a quick look. My mistake I should have sent him away. So much for being nice!
The facts are on 3/28/25 Andrew took a look at my items to be removed from the backyard. 10 items: a TV that was located in a small plastic storage shed - just the t.v. not the shed; a lawn mower; 2 patio tables; 4 chairs, a shelf, and stuff in 1 medium plastic container. Andrew said he would give me a discount. He tapped on some barcodes or QR codes or something on his metal file box and came up with an estimate of $550. I said, "Wow, that is high." My mistake, I should have sent him on his way - I did not think to counter. It took him and his partner less than 30 minutes to remove the items and load the trailer. Keep in mind when he arrived to my location, his trailer was already loaded with the stuff from the customer before where Andrew estimated $600. The invoice he sent me, said my items took up ¾ of the trailer ($895). When I thought about it, I thought that does not make sense. How could the customer before me be estimated $600 and me estimated $550 and my items take up ¾ of trailer space? How much space did the other customer's stuff take up? Unfortunately, I never saw how much space my items actually took up in the trailer because trailer was already covered with a tarp. I asked the final price and Andrew said $550. I thought that was the estimate not the final price. But what was I going to do - not pay him, have him put the stuff back? I had no choice. I paid him and he cashed the check on 3/31/25. On 3/30/25, I contacted 3 other junk removal companies all of whose price was between $300 - $350. As I thought about it, I said to myself "I think this guy took advantage of me." On 4/2/25 I began my 1 star review to warn others about Andrew's pricing. This is what Yelp is for, right, to share our experience with the company we have done business with.
Like I said while I was writing my review on 4/2/25, Andrew contacted me via text. After going back and forth, him via text, me via email, I asked for a partial refund. He did not counter but said blah-blah operational cost--blah-blah partial refund denied. I was disappointed but it is what it is. Not so with this guy. On 4/4/25 he sent a Yelp message saying I contacted him and he refused to do business with me from 4/4/25 forward. 4/5/25 I Yelp messaged him back that I did not contact him, I was in the process of preparing my Yelp review to share my experience with Wranglin Wrangler; warning others about doing business with him. 4/5/25 Andrew Yelp messaged me "Put in your review that you said if I did not give you a 45% refund you would leave a 1 star review." A while later he changed that Yelp message, because he knew it was not true, to "Put in, that because I did not give you a 45% refund you leave a 1 star review. This is blackmail Michele." I thought oh no, this guy is scary! What is he talking about, I had started the 1 star review on 4/2/25. I yelp messaged him back "STOP contacting me this is considered harassment."
Andrew contends that since he did not give me a partial refund on 4/4/25, I gave him a 1 star review. Again, this is NOT true. I was giving him a 1 star review on 4/2/25 way before I requested the partial refund! In any case, Andrew is a big, pushy, and scary guy. I believe his prices are very high. Andrew, you are in business, not every customer is going to give you 5 stars. Get over it and let it go! read more
