We built our first home with Wright homes and it has been the worst experience of our lives! I would not recommend this builder to anyone.

This is an insert from Brad Reynolds Construction Web Site:…read more From the business Specialties Brad Reynolds Construction was founded in 1982 by Brad Reynolds. He started the company with a commitment to excellence and integrity, and maintains that commitment today. Brad has built a reputation of quality and dependability that spans the state of Utah and beyond. Whether it's designing and building townhome communities, or building a large custom home for John Stockton, Brad Reynolds Construction can do it all. I purchased my home in a planed community in Draper, Utah (Villages on Draper Hills) in 2011. At the time the original builder (Carlco Construction was the builder of my home) was only able to build 5 units before the economy forced him to give up the project. Brad Reynolds took over the project and began construction shortly thereafter. The remaining planed units that were constructed by Brad Reynolds have become such a disaster that in the 6 year span upon completion 100% of all these homes require remediation. After having assessments of the defective homes, our community will have to pay almost 2 million dollars to repair the faulty designs, materials and workmanship from Brad Reynolds construction. Improperly installed windows, flashing and materials unsuited for application just to name a few issues. Many of the homeowners here are on a fixed income and with the new assessment on our properties ( $30,000.00 each home owner) some will have to sellout and move. We have tried to work this issue with Reynolds but so far, he refuses to stand behind his product and has taken the legal/ lawyer approach. So, if you read the above insert from his web site "integrity", "quality" and "commitment to excellence" BEWARE!! NOTHING CAN BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH ! Coming from Texas I can honestly say that this type of workmanship wouldn't be tolerated, he couldn't get a permit to build outhouses... PJ Draper, Utah

An update to the plumbing leaks. 8 months later and we've found the 6th leak in just over 2 years…read more This one is a doozy. Black mold everywhere. Have to tear out half the basement kitchen to get to all of it. Exact same cause as leaks 4 and 5, unsupported drain pipe that breaks over time from the weight of the water putting stress on the elbows. The lack of a 50 cent strap is going to cost us thousands and thousands of dollars to repair. FYI leak #2 was because they didn't attach the drain flange to the shower pan in the master bath. Just completely forgot to attach it when the house was built. Leaks 1 and 3 were pressurized supply line issues that our plumber told us they didn't ream the cut pipes properly when installed which causes turbulence at the joint and eats away at the solder joint until they fail. I can only image how many leaks the original owner had over 20 years before they sold the house to us.

That's very disappointing and felt unfair. Our experience with Ivory would have been closer to a 4‑star rating--until we closed on the loan. Since then, resolving walkthrough items has required constant follow-up, even though these issues were supposed to be completed prior to closing per the superintendent. I wish Ivory valued their clients' time and money as much as I am sure they value their own. The lack of follow-through after closing has significantly impacted our overall experience.

Prior to closing in my house, I requested 100s of issues with using the wrong size of finish nails…read moreon the trim/baseboards in my brand new house and apartment be addressed. I was told they would be fixed. Instead the paint tape I used to show the issues were just removed. I was lied to and told everything was ready to go and I was coming from Idaho so it's not like I had time to check. For the last year I've had to beg Fielstone warranty to fix these issues. They tried 3 separate times to fix these issues, lied to me because they think I'm a just a single woman who they can deceive and tried to say I never pointed out anything prior to closing. They wasted so much of my time and engery over all this instead of just doing the job right the first time. The different departments/contraxtors then blamed each other. I was told this is just how new homes are even though not one other house in my neighborhood had these issues and they built all of them. In the end, I had to threaten to get an attorney involved. Some of the issues were fixed but I just get to live with the rest. Other than ripping out the trim, there is nothing to do. I have sent close to 50 emails to them in the year since I closed on this house over these and other issues. The last email was completely ignored as far as ever scheduling anyone to come out. Every person I have talked to in this neighborhood feels like they have been ripped off. These houses are built poorly. They charge so much for any upgrade it's ridiculous. The materials are so bad and even with upgrades it's still for poor quality. My house value is down at least 50k since one year ago because no one is buying their homes in this neighborhood anyway. I would never build with these guys again.
