The tours here are expensive, but this is the 2nd oldest baseball park, so it's worth visiting for both the sports fan and the historic building fan. It's located right near the train in the middle of a neighborhood, and tickets can only be downloaded through their app, which is annoying, but it does mention where to go to get the tour. After everyone has to go through security, we toured through a couple of the clubs, through the bleachers, up near the old-style scoreboard, to the visitor locker room, down near the dugout and home plate. The tour guide was very enthusiastic about the Cubs and Wrigley Field and provided great information to a pretty large tour group. We only got to see the visitor's locker room, not the Cub's locker room, but it was still pretty thorough. Plus you get 10% off at the gift shop next door after. It's the second most photographed site in Chicago (after the bean) so it's an iconic piece of American history. It's worth seeing. read more

Oh Wrigley Field! As a long time baseball fan (Go Braves!), Wrigley Field was high on the list of parks to visit. Since my first visit 10 years ago, I have made the trek back to Wrigley several times and fall in love with this park each visit! If you know the Chicago, then you know Wrigley. Sooooo much history here. Walking into Wrigley legit feels like stepping into a living piece of baseball tradition. Wrigley is a throwback to old school game of baseball and it is an iconic stadium for a plethora of reasons from the iconic ivy-covered outfield walls, hot dog vendors, vats of relish for your hotdogs at the concessions to the manual scoreboard. Combine all that with a few modern amenities and upgrades and you have a wonderful place to catch a game...or concert. The food options are solid, with a good selection of classic ballpark snacks at the concessions and at your seat. "HOT DOGS. GET YA HOT DOGS HERE!". Almost as iconic as "Play Ball". The seats can be a little cramped, but hey, it's part of the charm of the old ballpark. And if you are up in the stands, be careful going up or down the stairs, as they are quite steep and narrow. As if the inside isn't great enough, you cannot overlook the neighborhood! Wrigleyville is full of life before and after games. You've got plenty of great bars, restaurants, and shops surrounding the park. There are stores all around, so you can pick up some merch if the two story club store didn't scratch the itch when you were inside the park. Every time I come here, I'm reminded of why this place is so beloved. The energy and history make Wrigley Field one of the best Chicago experiences you can have. Whether you're a Cubs fan or not, visiting Wrigley at least once is certainly recommended! read more

This review is for the tour since sadly the Cubs were on the road in Chicago playing the White Sox when I was in town. I share this because I was sad I didn't get to see an actual game in Chicago because I wasn't paying $60 to sit in the upper deck of whatever garbage name the other stadium has this season The Wrigley tour was awesome. I felt like in many ways I got to experience more of the ballpark than I would have just going to a game. What I really enjoyed about the tour is you got both Cubs history and stadium history. I remember as a kid the stadium getting lights for example but it was cool to be there on the anniversary of the first game with lights The tour guide was funny, well informed and better than let's just say our river boat guide Some of the highlights included going into the visitors locker room, broadcast booths and Cubs dugout Stoked the men's restroom still had a troth I am a Giants fan and as long as we are not playing I don't mind the Cubs. Food was typical park food at typical park prices. So be prepared. Take the opportunity to get a photo (they take it with your phone) with the World Series trophy. And all these times, somehow I end up coming for Chicago Cubs Vs LA Dodgers. The whole vibe, energy is nothing short of amazing. Not to gloat but all the games so far I have gone to, the Cubs won. Washrooms are super clean. Usually the queues move faster. You simply can't enter and leave without having the famous Chicago Dog. I go for the plant based one. You can add toppings like chopped onions, green peppers, tomato slices, pickles with a dash of celery salt and I, then slather it in the mustard sauce. This is the only way I prefer/love my hot dog. It's heavenly. The checkout is all automated. Also the CTA red line is less than a min away hence the commute is all sorted. Even after the game, there's so much to do in the Wrigleyville neighborhood. It's a must check out for any Chicagoan, even if you are not a fan of the Cubs. read more

Went to my first Cubs game recently and first time at Wrigley. They put a lot of businesses in there. There's definitely a difference from Guaranteed Rate. I did feel the Cubs pride while at the stadium. It's got a lot of the vintage charm. I was also excited to try some of the unique food choices. I like the kitschy stuff like loaded fries in a cubs helmet. I got the Greek loaded fries. The fries were crispy and the toppings were good! I got a beer in a baseball bat mug. Nice souvenir to put on display. I ended my meal with some soft serve in a helmet. They offered oatly at a lot of locations but I was on the 300 level and they didn't have that so I got regular soft serve. It was nice to cool off during a hot game. It did start drizzling around the 7th inning but they kept the game going. Then cubs won! So happy they won! read more

C'mon, it's Wrigley. With all its faults, any baseball fan wants to visit it. Came here for my Mets were visiting. They have a cool first timers' booth for a special free souvenir. Fun atmosphere, fans were amiable, not obnoxious. The mascot walked around signing autographs with a gigantic inflatable Sharpie. Buying tickets is a hassle cuz you want an unobstructed view, so need to know which 49 poles to avoid. Outskirts is relaxed, family friendly with grass and statues. Some bars, one with a patio overlooking Wrigley Sign. PROS 1. You can see their recent World Series trophy (the real deal, not a replica). 2. Easy to see the visitor players boarding their buses/private cars after the game. Saw Pete, Vogey, Nimmo, Lindor, McNeil - everyone except Max and Verlander. 3. Above the MLB games scoreboard they vertically fly flags of the National and American league divisions, in order of standings and update the rankings as needed. 4. Several bars and places to eat just outside the stadium. 5. Unique seating - bleachers on a neighboring building's roof beyond left field CONS 1. Yes, it's unique with ivy walls and last baseball park to install lights blah, blah blah but is it too much to ask that EVERYONE CAN SEE THE SCOREBOARD?? Cuz section 210 folks on the 3rd base side can't see squat! I had to look on my phone for the count sometimes. 2. Be prepared to become the beer guy's assistant, passing up cans up the rows. It's amusing the first time or two, annoying after the fifth. 3. Feeling Nostalgic in this iconic stadium with it's signature, bright red marquee. Photos and memorabilia located throughout. The stadium was 90% packed on this gorgeous summer night in Autumn. I attended on the best night! I got to see Sister Jean of Loyola University throw out the first pitch. Sister Jean is 100 years old and is noted to be the lucky charm of all games, she's a local legend. (Funnier still, I was at the Loyola campus earlier that afternoon). It was an awesome time at the stadium, feeling the energy. Fun time had by all. It was my first time here and seeing the stadium in real life; so rich in history. There was a WWE exhibition outside as well. That was fun to watch pre-game time. The stadium has its own sports shop with two levels of shopping and there was so much merchandise to see. They sell the teams merchandise and Wrigley stadium branded merch as well. I was on the hunt to purchase a special baseball as a souvenir and managed to find one I liked a lot, had a photo of Wrigley on it as well as the Chicago Cubs. Neat. Concessions were plenty, especially with the 21+ alcohol selection. This visit, we enjoyed the chili in a bag, quite messy, but good. But the favorite was the beef and sausage hot dogs. The stadium is very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly and we were given "first time" attendees certificates for the kids. They enjoyed that. We got to see the World Series trophy too with photo op. read more

My husband and been dying to see the Cubs play, so in our recent visit to Chicago, we made it happen! It was a whirlwind of a day (flight from Denver to Chicago, drop bags at hotel and hit the afternoon game) but in the best way! As soon as we entered the stadium, we ventured over to the Cubs store (for game hats!) before making way to our killer seats. We've become sports snobs in that we want to be in good seats to see the action and our seats did not disappoint! Our section offered a wide variety of eats, drinks and other which we indulged in (nothing beats a ballpark pretzel) while taking in the perfect weather and a Cubs win! This review is of the Wrigley Field Tour - we booked a tour (off season) for 12pm on a Saturday. We had a decent sized group (20-25?) for the tour. Sue was our tour guide and she was great. She was full of knowledge, history, humor, and charismatic. We sat in the bleachers while she pointed out facts and history. We had a chance to sit in the press box for more history and facts. We hung out in the visitor's locker room, which was cool to learn about all the famous people that had also been in that room. Our last stop was the outfield where we got to see the ivy up close and see the stadium from a completely different view. We are Detroit Tigers fans but we thought it'd be a fun tour for our kids since they love baseball - they loved it. They thought it was really cool to see and be able to go into areas that are largely not open to the public regularly. Overall, highly recommend for Cubs or non Cubs fans alike. Yes, everything at this ballpark is pricey as to be expected. Each of the employees I interacted with throughout the ballpark were very nice. We all tried various food items and everything tasted pretty good as well. I think the most basic and best tasting was the homemade Chicago dog that I made. I've waited over 30 years to visit this ballpark so it was magical to me. Walking up then down into the outfield bleachers was breathtaking, and I had to admit I cried. I've been to Chicago multiple times but this is the first time I've hit up Wrigley field and watched a Cubs game. It was a bummer that it was pouring that Sunday but I'm so thankful we were sitting on an upgraded section which was covered from the rain. The game didn't cancel but it was delayed about an hour. They were also handing out a free cubs bucket hat or T shirt depending on what side you enter the stadium that day. I don't watch baseball that often and find it sometimes dull when I watch it back at my home turf in Toronto years ago. However, I enjoyed watching it here. First of all the stadium is smaller and seats placed closer for a more intimate view. I also like how they introduced each player and highlighted their stats on the big screen before the game and also during play. I mean I haven't been to a Jays game in a while so it may be different now. I also got a hot dog and really enjoyed the fresh toppings that I can load up on my dog to make it Chicago style for just $10 USD. They also were selling daiquiris and beers in long baseball vessels and fries with a plastic Cubs bowl so you can take home as souvenir. Anyways it was a great game and Cubs annihilated the opponent with a 5-0 win so the atmosphere was great. read more

Concessions stands repeat on opposite sides - you can find hot dogs, pizza, burgers, various pop, alcoholic beverages, as well as specialty vendors that can only be found at Wrigley - we recently tried Home Run Inn's "Brew up" beer pizza, which came topped with sausage on their original crust, and the pizza had a 'beer' flavor to it; we also purchased a souvenir cup of pop. Stairs are a little steep, so make sure you exercise caution. Cupholders can be cleaned out, as there were dust, webs, and/or insects - eeks! The stadium is very well-maintained, and their sound system is awesome. Love the music, the graphics, and the lighting system.
