The Perkins House is such a Colfax gem. This historic Victorian home was originally completed in…read more1887, then fell into deep disrepair to the point that it was nearly torn down, but was rescued by the town and the Whitman County Historical Society in 1973. They completely restored it, and it's now filled with turn-of-the-century decor, and my favorite, insanely amazing wallpapers everywhere. The tours are free and self-guided, and there are lots of great informational plaques throughout the home. Outside you can walk the garden areas, view the log cabin that the Perkins initially lived in, or relax on one of two bench swings. Be sure to notice the resident bee colony that lives in the front second floor wall!

The Museum has a lot of very historical information about the Nez Perce Tribe and their story, and is located in historical downtown Lewiston Idaho. Mary E. White Romero the Museum Curator was so nice and friendly as she welcomed us to the Museum. The Museum has permanent and rotating exhibits reflecting the rich history of the county. It also has an extensive photo collection, Museum Store, Library, Picnic Area, and Free Parking. The Heritage House Historical Society building is also located next door to the Nez Perce Museum for your viewing pleasure.

I liked that the seats aren't in one single long row like typical theatres but are broken up into smaller sections (no more interruptions when other people need to scoot by to use the restroom/leave. The pre-movie ads are actually pleasant and they don't delay the start time of the movie. The theatre has cute lights in the shape of flowers on the ceiling and I believe there are vintage movie posters on the back wall. The facilities seemed clean from what I saw. They don't show the latest releases but do have some recognizable movies (ex: they're showing 80s movies on Tuesdays right now and will be showing Whiplash later this year I think). The Confucius Institute at U of I also screens Chinese movies here sometimes. I only paid $6 for my ticket...very reasonably priced! The audio was a bit too loud (only noticeable when the soundtrack of the movie came on) but other than that, I had a great experience. I'll definitely be back for more shows. Add them on Facebook for the latest updates! Also, you can rent their marquee space for things like birthday wishes, proposals, etc...such a cute idea!

If im being honest, for it being the only theater in 45 min they slack a lot. They've started the…read moremovie late on several occasions by like 20 min, the website is never accurate, and they are constantly out of items. If you cant buy enough product being the only theater around then tf you even doing. As much as I like the theater, they shouldve kept the pullman one as it was 1000% better. Probably just going to wait to rent these movies on Amazon because the theater isnt worth it as this location.
