Their website was clear and easy to use, communication was excellent, customer service was exceptional, pricing was fair, and follow through from drop off to pick up was off the charts. Rich of Northern Lights most certainly delivered, as he seemed to be the only man in the Hartford area willing to rent me a black light! I rented the black light, which was AMAZING, plus a small LED disco light to add to the fun. A great deal at $25, and a very nice man to boot. The renter was supposed to get a piece of equipment that was not included and when it was pointed out on the return, they weren't very accommodating. They did a little research and admitted it was their error (the person picking up the equipment did not know to check, so it was a mistake from the beginning) but just felt the owner/manager could've been less curt with his replies. Reached out and found another place that was recommended and gave my friend their information for next time.

We booked a carriage ride with Dana but since the area expected 6-8 inches of snow we were crossing our fingers for a possible sleigh ride instead. And we stuck around CT an extra day instead of driving through just for it. As people from the tropics, this was a once-in-a-life deal for us. RECOMMENDATIONS: Call the phone number for inquiries. This is a VERY SMALL mom and pop operation ( manpower wise) . Their Facebook and website are not active. They do carriage rides along the river year round... depending on the weather and sleigh rides if the snow conditions are favorable. They also do weddings, funerals , military services and have been feature in time period movies such as " The Gilded Age" and " The Greatest Showman on Earth". John the owner and operator took us on the sleigh ride himself. Our ride lasted about an hour and we went through the 30 acre property on newly fallen snow. It was truly a magical and memorable experience.

They were awesome! Reasonably priced, took only a deposit to start so I had a couple months to pay it off & the horses & carriage seemed very well taken care of! (on a side note, since I love animals so much, I'll point out that they treated the horses like PETS not just 'employees" they pet them & talked to them often) Highly reccomend The Happy Newly Wed Bride!!!
