Although the work was done we had guests arrive to our wedding 30 minutes late. I specified to have 2 separate shuttles leaving from separate hotels at 4:00 and 4:30. This was all in email and gone over with myself and the owner prior to the wedding. I ordered one 26 person party bus and one 56 person bus. Somehow we ended up with 3 busses (not that I mind but the drivers weren't aware of exactly what needed to happen). The 56 person vehicle did not show up at the hotel until after the wedding began leaving 50 guests waiting outside for 30+ minutes. We had to push the ceremony and cocktail hour back 30 minutes. When guests asked the driver of the 56 passenger vehicle what happened he said he'd been to four weddings already today and was overbooked. The owner isn't the most responsive person. Price was decent but we paid for that on the back end. When I reached out to him he failed to respond to via phone and text. If you do decide to use them I wouldn't pay 100% until after the job is complete. read more

My wife and I flew to Bradley from California. Our flight was scheduled to arrive at 11:30 pm. It was more than one hour late. In addition our baggage was delayed for almost 30 additional minutes. Our driver from Nelson stayed in contact and was right there when we came out. He was as nice and as helpful as he could be. Our destination was more than an hour from the airport but our driver made the time fly with his easy-going attitude and friendliness. I can't say enough about how good Nelson Family Limo Service is. I think the problems stem from the top down here- unfortunately the owner when met with issues doesn't confront them. Don't expect to be reimbursed for poor service. I would avoid giving them your money until after the service has been completed or not book at all, otherwise you'll never see it back if you were unfairly charged for bad service. The owner acknowledged the bad service and didnt offer anything. I was 40 minutes late to my wedding and people were taking ubers because the driver who was supposed to be making "unlimited rounds" to a venue that was 8 minutes from the hotel was too busy on his phone to do his job. The owner acknowledged that he knew this driver had an issue but still stuck us with him and instead of reimbursing us has decided ghosting us x2 via email when asked for reimbursement, and only we only got any short, curt response when he was worried about a bad review, when he should be worried about long term success. I paid $1800 for a driver to make me late 40 mins, miss all my bridesmaids pictures and have people get ubers to our wedding. The unlimited trips for a wedding from 3pm-midnight probably totalled about 6 full trips back and forth which was definitely not worth the money. The owner doesn't understand that an immediate offer of compensation for bad service will result in more costumers long term. Instead he has opted for short term gain and opted to leave the customer unsatisfied and highly disappointed by ghosting them and keeping his money. read more

I have to give at least a 2 because my party and I were at least able to get to our destination. I had a very unprofessional experience. I unfortunately think the driver was tired or not well. Showed up 15 minutes late, ok, but then he tells me the lights and music are not working. Proceeds to give me a blank stare, like what am I supposed to do about it. A discount wasn't offered until after I suggested it and was done in the 20 minutes trying to get the lights and music working. One of the party guests literally had to flip a switch to get it going.I had hired this company as a party bus for transport to NY where our 25 guests were going to get on a party boat. A stop had been arranged via email days before the event and confirmed twice that same day, I sent the driver the address where we would be stopping twice and he totally passed it. When I realized where we were I went up to speak to him and he was apologetic but how did you forget when we had just discussed it? On the way home the drive was so fast, he was driving like a mad man. We were still able to have a good night in NY but I would not rely on this company in the future for transportation unfortunately. read more

Just recently booked a trip with Nelson Limousine for my best friends birthday! We took the 2015 party bus up to the casino (Mohegan Sun) and back. It was a fantastic experience all around. Easy to book and Brian was extremely organized. Brian does a fantastic job running this business. The prices are very reasonable and the limo itself was spotless! Brian was amazing to work with and make the experience so memorable for everyone that took the trip. He had ice ready for us and hooked our phone to the Bluetooth so we could control the music during our travels between breweries. Brian from Nelson Family Limousine was a fantastic Party Bus host. We called with a few days notice and he accommodated our every request. He was prompt, professional, charming and went out of his way to make sure our ladies day at the vineyard was perfect. he had coolers onboard with ice and water at the ready. And then, there is the star of the show, the party bus!! not sure if he has a name for his vessel, but it was amazing!!! spic and span, including the onboard bathroom! the sound system, tv and light display were all state of the art. it was comfortable and fun in everyway! it made our good day perfect! we will definitely be calling again for our next party day outing!! read more
