This is the only one that bothered to find out about my specific goals for my dog and the only one that bothered to get to know my dog. I think everyone in the place came out to meet her and watch her at her first training. I had the usual reservations about using an e-collar on my dog (is it inhumane? Is it punishment? Would her personality change?) Andrew carefully demonstrated the collar to me and when we used it on my dog she did not indicate that she was in any distress. She learned quickly and seemed very proud of her accomplishments. At home, even without the collar she continues to do the things she learned in her only lesson. Two days after her first training, she was diagnosed with Heartworm. Because she must be kept still throughout the long treatment she cannot attend training, go to dog parks, doggy day care or even run. Sit Means Sit refunded my money, did not charge me for the lesson, offered advice on how to keep her still, and offered to continue to help when I needed it. I am forever grateful. When my dog is better (cross your fingers) I plan to bring her back. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and his team for any dog issue whether it is a serious problem dog or a dog like mine who is a little timid, wants to kiss every child she sees and just needs a few skills to reinforce safe behaviors.

I say was and is because even after our sessions ended last year, she's still available for questions! Every now and then my dog will do something new and I don't know how to handle it. I just text Cortney and she's always quick with advice and ideas. During our training, Cortney came to my house and provided everything I needed like a mat, collars, leashes, etc. She walked me through training techniques and practiced with me at each session. I always left our sessions with homework to practice and continually reinforce the training. She took us (my dog and me) on walks and taught me how to use a leash correctly and appropriate commands and behaviors. The best testament to Cortney's skill is how EXCITED my dog is to see her. For daycare, my puppy and I are welcomed with a big smile and a big hello to us both. When he is picked up, the staff tells us who he played with and how he did. They even are helping us train him to get comfortable in a kennel. During his boarding stay the staff went above and beyond to say the least. They gave him extra love when he would get nervous- they even put him in a thunder jacket to calm his worries. Amazing. We are so thankful. They took Christmas photos of him after a complementary bath which were adorable! They communicated so well (and fast) so that we were at ease being far away. I recommend Prairie Pawz to everyone and will continue to do so! Thanks Prairie Pawz for taking such good care of my baby!

Enlisting the help of Suburban K-9 was the best decision we ever made- Salina was prompt, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. We learned the why behind our dog's behaviors as well as what to do to improve or correct them. Now we can walk off leash at a smart heel, his barking is massively improved, he comes when called with other dogs/people around along- things I've only ever seen dogs do on tv are things my dog can do! In fact, another trainer we contacted declined to work with her because of her breed mix. Tyrese, however, welcomed the challenge with confidence, patience, and skill. For one month, three days a week, Tyrese worked with our dog, Margot, and completely transformed her behavior. She is still the smart, independent thinker we love, but she now reliably comes when called (sometimes with side-eye, lol) and stays on command--something we weren't sure would ever be possible. The progress she made is remarkable and her spirit is intact. What impressed us most was Tyrese's training style. He is incredibly kind and gentle with our dog, and she was never fearful or stressed during training. At the same time, he maintains complete control and earns her respect through consistency and clear communication. It is obvious that he truly understands dogs and how to bring out their best.
