Wushu Unlimited is a fantastic studio teaching various styles of Chinese Martial Arts. The instructors are talented, passionate, and skilled at teaching. Early in my wushu journey, I had several private lessons with Coach Wang. The experience was fantastic, as I learned a lot. What's most important is he understood my limits and didn't over push me to the point of injuries. The best types of coaches (to me) observes their students and adjust the teaching style depending on the situation, and that's exactly what I got. Now, I visit every so often. Wushu Unlimited is a gem in Monrovia. I feel so fortunate that my son gets to learn wushu in such a caring and warm environment. The coaches and staff are the kindest people around while teaching the kids with discipline and fairness. They're so encouraging to the kids and the kids have so much fun learning wushu. My son looks forward to go to class everytime and it's not just because his friends are there but he can't wait to learn more wushu. The coaches' and staff's passion for teaching wushu and their dedication is absolutely unbelievable and admirable. They even hosted a successful wushu competition last year where wushu teams from across the US and internationally (Canada, France, etc.) participated. I believe this was the first competition since the Covid pandemic ended. I would recommend anyone to Wushu Unlimited. Instructor Wang is the best. His teaching style is very easy to follow and he is great with the kids. He is very thorough, patient, confident and has a big heart. It is these extra qualities that makes him a very good instructor aside from his martial arts experience. Jennifer is also the best in handling the after school program and other events for Wushu. If you have kids that are looking for extra hobby or just to exercise this is the place to go. It is like one stop shopping for all your needs. The best thing is that this place promotes health, defensive skills, mental growth and a good place to network and make good friends. They started at a park. We are so excited that they found a place of their own. They offered many different services. One of them is after school program which Belle loves it! Jennifer take good care of Belle. She make sure that Belle do her school homework and practising her wushu. Teaching Belle new words, multiplication that the school not even started for 2nd grade. I see Belle is improving gradually in academic and sports. Belle is in good hand with them. I do not have to worry. Jennifer always communicate with me what does Belle do during after school program The instructor for Wushu is really good! He is so patient with the kids. Coach Wang and Coach Julianna are the best! Our two kids (5 and 3) have been going for over a year and have learned so much. Wushu, self defense, weapons are what they teach well but I think what my kids benefit most is learning the importance of discipline and respect. This is an awesome program for kids and adults! My son is currently in the afterschool program and is flourishing in wushu after only a few months. The training is taught by a number of coaches, and they are all very patient with the kids, yet firm to keep the kids focused. Head Coach Wang is amazing. You can tell that he is a true master of the art and he just loves to share it with the kids. Coach Kevin is fun and Coach Juliana is encouraging. Jennifer Wang runs the after school program and she is patient, kind and firm with the kids. She makes sure that the kids are completing their homework and comes up with fun activities for the kids. Coach Wang is amazing with the kiddos. My 5 yr old is very shy. He is very patient in his attempts to engage her. He is so full of energy and the kids have a lot of fun while learning. Despite his fun spirit he maintains his ability to direct and reign in the big chaotic energy the kids bring. Finding this school was a blessing. They offer excellent classes at an incredibly reasonable price. I have trained in martial arts for a large portion of my life, and Coach Wang has definitely taken me to another level of not only execution but understanding as well. I was so thrilled to find this place that I brought my kids in for trial lessons. They absolutely loved their first lesson and were excited to continue. Coach Wang has a great mixture of fun and discipline with the kids. After a couple of weeks, my kids told me that their wushu lessons were their "favorite thing to do." At the age of 65, I found myself with a poor sense of balance and a backache that had lasted for 11 years. I thought that was it! For life. After reading that Tai Chi was good for backaches, I looked in the local (Monrovia) phone directory and found Wushu Unlimited. During my first meeting with the very polite Mr. Wei Wang, he guided me through the warm-ups. I am Not making this up: At the end of just those easy warm-ups, my back stopped hurting. That was last April (2017). It is now early November (still 2017) and my back has not ached since! I take long walks regularly now. At first my balance was absolutely lousy. It's getting so much better all the time -- it's been awhile since I feared falling in my home, which was something that had been happening with increasing frequency. I now have so much energy that I no longer need a cleaning lady. Tai Chi is anything but rigorous. It requires discipline, but there is no pain and the routines leave one relaxed and refreshed. I look forward to each lesson with Coach Wang - he is so very encouraging. I cannot believe the progress he's helped me achieve. Oh -- losing weight was never my intention for taking Tai Chi. However, two weeks ago I discovered at my doctor's office that I have lost 12 pounds since April. I had to by a smaller Wushu T-shirt! I can't say enough positive things about Coach Wang. I'm glad he's here. His credentials are impeccable. And he and his wife Jennifer are two of the nicest people in the San Gabriel Valley. And as I said above, he is most encouraging. I would not have come so far with Tai Chi and its many benefits if is wasn't for his excellent teaching. read more
